Matt glared at her hard, why the hell did care about what he did in the first place? Why would she consider someone heartless for not wanting to get involved? And how did she hear his heart beat? Those were the questions that were circling around his head. He looked back at the women who were fighting over god knows what. He ate some of his popcorn.

"It's alright." He said in a calm voice, he dug his whole face in his popcorn and ate a quarter of it while his face was in there, then he pulled it back out and watched the fight continue. It's funny how they don't even notice me or the person next to me, I wonder why they don't notice one person eating popcorn and watching them at the same time and the person next to me who's telling me not to. Matt thought.

Victoria went to punch Lena's face in some more but her hand froze in place when Mortimer came between them. Her eyes widened momentarily before her eyes flashed again angry. "Move." She demanded refraining from hitting him for getting in the way. The darker side of Victoria had taken over her senses and all she could think about was killing Lena. "I don't care who sees me. I can't just let her live. Let them see me rip her to shreds." She said in a dangerous tone baring her fangs. Her eyes looked onto Mortimer again and her look softened. Becoming quiet she slowly dropped her hands to her sides trying to control herself. "Lena leave....or i will kill. you." Victoria said.
Lena stumbled back as Mortimer got in the way. "You idiot don't get in this. Its none of your business. Shes a monster. I have to get rid of her. I warned her." Lena said stepping around Mortimer. Her eyes flickered to the many people downstairs watching them. "You know what i have other things to do. Be warned Victoria. I will get you when no one is around. We can finish this with no intrusions." With that Lena brought her fist back and punched Victoria in the stomach knocking the girl to the ground before vanishing out of the elevator. Victoria groaned falling back onto the hard ground. "********." She cursed as her sister left. The darker side starting taking over again as she fumed again. Pulling herself up against the wall she placed a hand on her reopened wound. Her bangs covered her dark purple eyes she looked down shaking. "I. Am. Gonna. Kill her. Then, everyone she knows. That ignorant girl will pay." She seethed.

What's she doing coming down here? Matt asked himself, he realized that they noticed him and he sat still, maybe if he sat still, nobody would notice him and think of him as a statue. He reached his hand in the bucket and realized that there were nothing but non-popped popcorn. He threw the bucket away and waited to see what that one person was coming down for.

((You're back! smile ))
Victoria! Mortimer thought sternly, his eyes closing as he prepared himself for the impact of her fist upon his face. He felt the beast within him stirring and he felt his hands tensing at his sides.
Move.
His grey eyes snapped open, surprised to see her fist hovering just a fraction of an inch in front of his face. "Victoria," he murmured softly, attempting to soothe her murderous intentions, once again stiffening as he heard the semi-familiar voice behind him and a tall blonde figure easily stepped around him-once again allowed full access to Victoria.
She's a monster. I have to get rid of her.
Mortimer hissed softly, his fangs coming into view as his hand tightened upon the hilt of his sabre, a faint crimson bleeding into his grey irises as he stared at the two sisters. His eyes were almost completely crimson when Victoria hit the ground and he shook himself, frowning deeply at Victoria's violent and angry words.
"Monstrosity is relative," he said softly, aiming his spoken words at Lena as he knelt beside Victoria who was bleeding upon the glass floor of the elevator. And here they had just been about to enjoy a lovely evening.
"I'm sorry," Mortimer whispered, a hand hovering just above her shoulder, his grey eyes downcast. "This is my fault. I wanted to leave my castle, after all. I had forgotten," his features were drawn in a sickeningly cruel smile born of the irony he felt had fallen harsh upon him. "How much trouble I cause."

Victoria growled lowly. She shook again staring at the ground centering her hatred on the floor instead of taking it out on someone. "No!" She said angrily looking up at Mortimer. "It was my fault. I always cause trouble, i should of had more control." Victoria slide back to the ground and closed her eyes felling faint. Raising a pale hand softly placed it on Mortimer's shoulder. "I'm sorry." Victoria whispered sorrowfully as a tear slide down her bloody pale cheek.

"Hey," Mortimer said softly, lifting his grey eyes to Victoria's face for just a moment, then looking down through the floor toward where the two spectators had deposited themselves to openly stare up at them during the fight-or at least one was being open about it-the other actually seemed to disapprove of the human's display.
Perhaps she thinks it rude, he thought to himself, a small trace of his amusement showing upon his face as the corner of his mouth twitched upward, quickly reigned in to an expression that was half-grimace, half-smile.
It was at that moment that the elevator doors opened with a small ding and Mortimer twitched, turning his head to the cluster of people that awaited them on this new floor and gently scooped up his wounded companion into his arms.
"No crying now, eh?" he added as he whisked her out of the elevator and joined a jumble of people who were crowding around a plaque that seemed to depict a map of the mall complete with useful symbols and a legend that would-hopefully-make deciphering the thing a bit easier as he tried to remember the traditional sign for first-aid. "I might start myself," Mortimer added, a soft smile playing over his features again.

Victoria silently, almost timidly followed Mortimer out of the now bloody elevator. Keep her gaze downward she wrapped her arms around Mortimer's waist to keep herself up. Dragging him with her to one of the empty bathrooms she closed and locked the door behind him. Sliding down the wall she groaned in pain. Her tears continued to fall from her eyes as she buried her head in her hands. "I'm so, so, so sorry you had to see that. I should of left you alone." Victoria whined looking up at him with blurry eyes.

((Mr. Tumnus rocks! Lucy: *offers her hand* Mr. Tumus: *is obviously thinking 'Well what the devil do I do with that, eh?'* Lucy: You shake it. Mr. Tumnus: But why? ))
"What?" he murmured, distracted by the blood that was oh-so visible upon her clothing. That simply had to be excruciating-her sister had done that?-and here he had let it happen.
"What are you sorry for, pet?" Mortimer said finally, lifting his gaze to her face where he frowned at her tears. It was his fault that they'd been in the elevator in the first place-or the mall for that matter. Worse yet, he had allowed all of that violence to pass-unchallenged-right under his nose.
Now Mortimer, you did try getting between them, Victor whispered in his mind, attempting to soothe the unhappiness and helplessness that Mortimer felt.
Oh yeah, and that worked bloody well, didn't it? Mortimer shot back, for once at odds with his calmest self.
"I would have been denied the pleasure of a glorious dance if you had 'left me alone', as you put it," he added, wincing at the thought. If Victoria hadn't happened upon his castle, he would still have been holed up in amongst his roses enjoying the small company which Samson and his bats could provide.

Taking a deep breath she continued. "I let my dark side take over. I ruined your chances of having fun at the mall with the scene we caused. Most of all my sister may now be after you. I kinda did something really bad and unforgivable." She whispered looking down.
Pouting she wiped her tears away trying to keep them from falling. "You could of found a better dancer in any other clan instead of dancing with a 'mutt' like me." She said doing air quotes around the word mutt referring to what Lena called her. "I'm not good for anything but killing people. I would of actually been okay if Lena killed me. It would only be right." Victoria said sneering at her hands as she placed them in her lap.

Mortimer frowned again, thinking back on Victoria's sister's words. "Now now," he muttered, tugging at the hem of one of his ornate cuffs as he considered their possibilities. The Tremere Mall had quite possibly become hostile territory if Lena did not hold true to her word or-worse-Victoria became separated from him somehow.
Mortimer was also uncertain as to the size of the Tremere Clan, and Lena's position within it. Depending on her degree of influence, she could have them captured and he, at least, could be killed. She didn't have a real bone to pick with him, after all. He was just in the way-a knight made useless by his own fears.
How pitiful you have become. When I think of how powerful you used to be-I used to be, rather-it sickens me. You allowed yet another maiden to fall. Dear me, we are a failure, aren't we Mortie-kins?
Can it, Mortimer thought angrily at the intruding voice, his lips pulled back in a snarl, exposing his fangs. He shook his head then, momentarily forgetting what had upset him as he studied Victoria's face and heard her last words.
"You do make for rather good company, when you and your sister aren't having a go at each other, that is," he added, smiling at her. It did no good to brood upon the past after all. "We should really get that checked out, though," he muttered, making a vague gesture at her wounds.
Useless, that's what he was. He had allowed Lena-why was that name familiar?-to maul Victoria, had fought his confessor and comforter Victor, and had allowed Christoph to speak to him yet again. The evil within him was stirring, he could feel it just below his consciousness, awakened, no doubt, by the violence that surrounded him.

Clicking her tongue in thought she groaned banging her head back into the wall. Either way she screwed up today big time. Her sister had made things unnecessarily difficult for her. Feeling like an a** she buried her face in her hands again.
Maybe i should just leave again. Then i wont have to worry about endangering anyone anymore. Lena surely will be keeping her eyes on me as long as we're here.
Looking up she frowned. "No." she choked out. "I'm alright." She whispered glancing down at her bleeding side. The thought of her sister being around still made her uneasy about going anywhere.
Victoria pouted looking at Mortimer. "I think we should wait a little bit in here to make sure no one will come after us. Just hand me some of the paper towels and I can clean myself up some, please." Victoria said glancing at the locked bathroom door.
Victoria couldn't believe why Mortimer would stay with here. He must be crazy to put up with all this drama in one day. Not only did she endanger his home but she allowed him to be put in the middle of her and her sisters fight. "Thank you. You must have a high tolerance for drama if your still hanging out with me." she said.

Looking a bit doubtful at her protestations, Mortimer went ahead and began pulling out paper towels from the dispenser on the wall. "Really, I'm sure that there are people in first aid who could do much better than paper towels," he said softly, angling his head toward the door as he listened for any signs of pursuit.
"Drama?" he repeated, a soft smile gracing his features as a flood of happy memories associated with that word threatened to overwhelm his consciousness. "Yes, I do so love the theatre," he added, lightly skipping over her meaning as he beamed at the applauding audience from a distant past that had appeared before his mind's eye.
As his reverie concluded, his brightened expression slowly faded to match their dim surroundings and he sighed. "Do you suppose it's safe to return to the Mall, now?"
