Anne looked up the stairs to the dorm room she would have to sleep in for the next nine or so months, the room she would be sharing with a boy she had never met, the room she dreaded to go into. Biting her tongue, she swiftly drew all her things up stairs. There were still items like a drawing easel and keyboard stuffed into her car, too big to carry with the rest of the things. She would run down and get them when she'd the time, which would probably be after she was done packing, if the boy didn't bother her too much. The black-haired girl nearly groaned. She realized that not all males were jerks or idiots, she'd just never gotten to meet any. The ending of stairs almost caught her by surprise when she realized she'd been mulling over what her roommate might be like. She hoped he wasn't a player type, or a messy one. They got on her nerves the most, Anne liked things to be decently tidy, and didn't want to be lulled into a date any time soon. She would like somebody who enjoyed classical music, or somebody who was quiet like her, maybe both. That would be perfect, that way nobody would bother the other and this year would go by smoothly and normally. And boringly, her mind told her. Quickly she released the thought and began to walk through the hallway. No use standing at the top of the stairs another five minutes.
As she walked she saw two males roughly her age walk past her. Puzzling, it didn't seem like they went to this school. Not thinking about it more deeply than that, she pushed open the door to room 2. She was greeted with a jumble of instruments that filled up almost all of the entire space. In the middle of all this was a blond guy. She nearly dropped her suitcase in disbelief, how could all this fit into such a small dorm? Shocked as she was, Anne was at least grateful that included in the clutter was a nice looking keyboard. At least she wouldn't have to lug up her own. Still, there was still the issue of all the rest of those items, and, of course, the blond.
"Are you Alec?" She asked him quietly.

Serena's eyes turned up to the sky. It had been such a nice day when they had left the house too... And now it was raining! But, she never complained. She loved the rain, after all. Her brother, on the other hand, was a bit more... Unwelcoming to rain. But, it gave her good reason to merely bring her things in quickly, not stay, but head back outside in merely a shirt and jeans. "Hey Edward, I'll be back later when it, you know, maybe stops raining," she said, teasing him as she passed by him in the hallway, heading back outside.
Briskly, she passed by a guy wearing a mint green shirt and tie. For a moment, she glanced at his outfit. He looked like one of the more serious guys, and she dearly hoped he was not Edward... Of course, to her dismay, she would later learn he was. "Oi, sorry!" she called back before exiting the dorm hall doors and welcoming, onto her skin, the soft, cool rain...
Edward looked over his shoulder to his sister's retreating form... "Hey! Don't get sick!" he shouted to her, shaking his head before turning back around to face the door, in front of which two girls were standing. He cleared his throat, stepping up, making sure none of his instruments knocked into them. "Uhm... You're kind of blocking my way," he said in a joking manner, though he wasn't sure if it sounded that way or not. He was so used to Serena's understanding of his "jokes" that he never really realized that other people might not.

"Ann Arbor." Sam replied as he finished packing. "It's in Michigan. Near Detroit, about 45 miles away." He sat down on his bed and stared intensely at the ceiling. Her voice was nice, but he had learned quite a while ago that a nice face does not a good girl make. He'd prefer getting to know her before jumping to think that she was nice because she had a feminine voice. He had a feminine voice(Well, fairly feminine), and look at him. He wasn't the nicest kid he knew. Sure, he wasn't mean, but he wasn't all that, either.
~!~
Ata looked at the boy who had just appeared. "Are you Edward Lockheart?" She then peered at the paper in the girl's hand. "Oh, so that's the dorm number? That's right down that way, I believe." She pointed down the hallway a bit. "There are big numbers on the door. It shouldn't be hard to miss." Ata nodded, then stood out of the way, addressing Edward again. "So are you coming in? Or do you plan to sleep out there tonight?"

Aaron shivered as he waited at a crossing for the lights to change. He was now soaked through, the rain was cold and Aaron hated the cold. Finely the bwapapapap of the walk signal sounded and he hurried across the road. He didn't know why he bothered, hurrying wasn't going to get him there before he was any wetter but it was a habbit he guessed. And he didn't want to be sick for his first day of school, that would be just pathetic.
Finally the school came in to sight and he hurried up the front stairs inside where he stood dripping for a moment. Swiping a hand over his face he brushed his wet hair aside and got rid of the water droplets dripping down his face. The piece of paper that was in his pocket, saying the name of his room mate, room number and classes, was now soaked and ruined so he guessed it was a good thing he had read it so many times that he had memorized it.
Walking up the dorm corridore his eyes flicked left and right till he found his room, room number one. Raising his hand he knocked once on the door, just incase his room-mate was there already, and entered. He needent have bothered, the room was empty. Oh well he could chose what window he wanted and instantly chose the one next to the window. He put his bag and violin case on the bed before opening his bag and pulling out the clothes, trying to find something dry; the last thing he wanted to do was have to ask someone to lend him clothes, he would rather sit wet and shiver than that. Thankfully he found his towel was mostly dry as well as a large t-shirt that had been one of his brothers. The pants were a different issue, he only had a pair of baggy jeans that were quite wet in patches but they were the dryest of what he had. Quickly, inccase his room-mate entered, he took off his wet clothes, toweled himself dry and dressed in the mostly dry ones, hanging the wet ones over the chair for now. He would take them down to the laundry and put them in the dryer later. For now, though, his most important concern after protecting his health was his violin.
Unzipping the case he pushed it open and pulled the instrument out, finding it a little wet along the edge where water had gotten in the zip but otherwise fine. A small smile touched his lips as he wiped down the instrument, cleaning it of any damp that may warp the wood, and set about tuning it. It had been too long since he had been able to play it since he couldn't play at home. He could dance since he could do that without music and thus any sound but playing caused too much trouble. He missed it.

{I've been there!!!!!} "Really?!" she asked and sat up. her eyes sparkled. "I've been there!" She had in fact been to Ann Arbor not more than two weeks before. "I do all my shopping there." She Loved how fun and artsy Ann Arbor was. The college town was her favorite place in the whole state. She often visited her aunt who owned a few rental houses in the city.
"I can't believe you’re from Ann Arbor!" She gave a great sigh of happiness. The smile on her face was just as warm as ever. She set her guitar back into it's case, and closed the latches carefully. Then after making sure that her guitar was set, she stood and spread her arms to her sides, stretching. "Have you ever been to that one comic shop? You know.. What was it called...?" She put a hand to her forehead and looked up. "Umm... Grr, That one that sounds like a comic book name. Something like Closet of twilight, Or-or I don't know!" She spun round once and stared Sam in the face. "You gota know man, this is going to drive me crazy all day!"
Ben's eyes pleaded as if she were in pain because in fact she would be. It was very well known that is she had something to think about when she should be doing something else she would. And if she had something that she had to remember that meant that she would not be paying attention in class, or remembering to eat food at dinner.

((I live there. =) My dad's a professor at the university.))
"Yeah, I've been there! It's, uh, Cave of Midnight, or something like that, I think. I don't go there too often. Oh! Ever been to Kilwin's? Y'know, the chocolate place downtown?" Sam looked at her with his blue and green eyes, trying to figure out what was making her so hyper about where he lived. Well, after all, it was just Ann Arbor. Nothing special.

{{I live about an hour away, My mom grew up there, and we visit her friends. I Heart this little hippy shop down town were I buy all of my clothes.}}
"Vault!" She grinned, the joy of accomplishment ran rampant on her face. "Vault of midnight!" She sighed and gave him a grin. "And, yes I've been there, The Chocolate shop that smells like waffles and taffy?" She tossed her hair back, and looked into is eyes.
"Wow." She said and stepped closer to him. His eyes were different colors. One green, one blue. They were like magic, or a character she read about in one of the fantasy books she was so fond of just years ago. "You’re amazing." She giggled and took another step towards him, not moving her gaze from his. She was very happy that he was so unique and hip. Never had she had a roommate she could not find a major flaw in, in the first few minutes.

"Quite alright." Edward responded to the girl who'd passed him with an apology. Or he'd tried to reply anyway; she seemed to be in a bit of a hurry to get somewhere. A shame it had started raining. Edward was already a bit drenched, but at least he did not have much to carry in. He and his father carried in the last of his luggage then parted with a final hug and goodbye. Now alone in his dorm room, Edward stripped out of most of his clothing. His shirt, tie, shoes and socks he slipped off but remained in his pants. They were not very wet and so he did not mind them "I really ought to put this stuff away... but I do not want to quite yet." Having decided to postpone unpacking, Edward grabbed his cello case and sat in a chair. He pulled out the instrument and bow and began to play something slow and soothing. Now that he was actually here, he felt fairly certain nervousness would set in soon. Best to combat it early.

[[ 'ooc Hmm... Think I might change my character's names. It's difficult when you use the same names and then suddenly change it up. I have to keep remembering my characters names... >___< ]]
"Edward Lockhart... Yeah, that's me. And you're probably Atamia P...." he said, her last name becoming a fuzzled word. "Sorry, bad with pronunciation," he said with a smile and a laugh before walking past her and into the room. "And no, I do not expect to sleep out there... But, if people wouldn't block entryways, it wouldn't be a problem distinguishing that, right?" he asked, looking back at her before plopping his bags and instrument down beside the bed. He flashed her a smile.
Elizabeth, as she had to admit, was enjoying the rain. But, as much as she was enjoying it, it was getting rather breezy now, and she had to suppress a shiver... And a small cough. After all, she was still minorly recovering from being sick a week ago. 'Edward's gonna be on my case for this,' she thought, remembering her brother's words before she exited the building.
And so, she decided she would call it a day for now and head back inside, where she opened the door to dorm room three, entering and removing her wet shirt before realizing there was a guy sitting on the other side of the room. "Oh," she said in surprise, her cheeks flushing a bright pink as her golden eyes flickered to him, focusing more to notice that he merely had pants on.

((SORRY I DIDN'T POST MOST OF TODAY. I HAD TO WORK ALL DAY... IT WAS ANNOYING... ><)) Alec stared down at his jumble of instruments, wondering where he was going to put them all, when he heard the door creak open, signaling a new comer. He peered up through his dirty blond hair with his emerald eyes, curious as to who barged into his room. It's that chick... he thought as she asked who he was. He cleared his throat softly before opening his lips to say, "Yeah, that's me. And you're Anne?" He gave her a smile, to give off a nice impression, thinking that this girl was definitely not the type that Jake would be into. She looks too safe, he mused, wincing on the last part for he knew that that wasn't the correct word to describe her. Alec suddenly realized that was still standing in a pile of boxes, and nervously laughed as he scratched the back of his head with a smile. "Oh, and uh, sorry 'bout the mess. I just have to figure out where to put them and then you can fit your stuff in here..." At this statement, he looked around, trying to find the spot to put all of his drum boxes, guitars, bass, amps, trumpet, and keyboard, wincing once again when he found out that it would be nearly impossible to find that certain spot. I'm totally not getting it with this chick, he thought, thinking that chicks didn't like messes, and there he was, standing in the middle of one...

She was still rather awestruck with the amount of instruments in the room. None of her past roommates were skilled with anything but two instruments like her. She almost missed what he said because she was pondering how somebody could do all this, because of that she rushed to find an answer.
"Wha-? Oh, I mean, yes, that's me." She tried to smile back at him, to keep up her friendliness. She simply stood there as he seemingly analyzed her, and then finally moved to fidget. He was nervous in her presence, that in turn made her nervous. He apologized for all the clutter in the space and she was slightly relieved, at least he was trying not to be a mess. She might as well help, it was her room too. "Maybe we can put the amps next to the desk, and the guitars under the bed with the drums," She laid her luggage against the wall and bent down to check underneath the bed, it seemed a little small. "The guitars could go under my bed. The keyboard we can both use so maybe in a corner?" She suggested, trying to be helpful. She wanted enough room to set up her easel, at least, that's all she'd need.

He looked around at where she said to put them and nodded his head, seemingly still in thought. After a few more seconds about thinking about nothing, he moved to take the keyboard out of the case and placed it where he was directed to. Afterwards, he got on his hands and knees and placed his acoustic, electric, and bass guitars all under her bed, saying sorry mentally for placing them in the dark when they deserved to be out in the light. He loved his guitars as much as he loved girls, maybe even more, and at the thought, Alec chuckled to himself, the image of him doing a guitar in his mind. "What the hell am I thinking?" he mumbled to himself with a smile as he moved to place his amps next to the desk, the weight of them causing his biceps to bulge. Beefcake, he imagined that that's what Demetri would have said at the moment, causing him to smile again. Next, he placed his remaining drum boxes at the end of his bed, and topped it with his trumpet box, finally being able to see the floor again. "There we go, but I do have to warn you, there will be days where I'm breaking out my Vistalite, which will probably either leave no room for you to walk around and will hurt your ears if you're too close... well actually, both of those will probably be the case," Alec stated with a smirk as he pet one of his drum boxes lightly with his two fingers.

She sighed in relief to hear that he agreed to the places she wanted to store the instruments. Maybe this guy wouldn't be so bad to have as a roommate, she probably wouldn't have too many classes with him anyway. Anne removed the art bag from her shoulders and put it softly on the bed she'd decided to claim, the one against the wall, next to a window. She dropped her violin case gently alongside and slowly unzipped the bag. As she heard him move again the raven-haired girl spun around. The keyboard. Her mind already gave her illusions of playing it. It was ridiculous, but all she ever wanted to do these days was spend hours pressing those precise keys. She didn't quite notice when he'd taken all of those different guitars and put them underneath the bed. She heard his deep chuckle and blinked, the question 'What's so funny?' rang in her mind. He said something, and she tore her eyes away from the keyboard. She didn't quite catch it, but he seemed amused, for some reason or another. She watched him move again, picking up the impossibly large amps, she tried not to notice his arms and for the most part succeeded, until he smiled another silent smile. At that she looked away and continued to unzip her violin case, laying the lacquered wood on her pillow, pulling her fingers across the strings silently. She was examining it with a fathomless expression before he spoke again, and her head snapped around. This time his words amused her as well. "Don't worry, I'll be playing piano all day, so I guess we're even." At that she smiled slightly as well. It was tiny, but it was there.

He only nodded at her statement, the only thought coming across his mind was when he was going to need the keyboard for his gigs. That's when he stopped short of his reverie and grabbed his cell phone out of his pocket, needing to confirm something. Ringing sounded in his ear until a familiar, husky voice spoke. "What do you want man? I like, just saw you," Jake spoke, the sound of a rumbling truck in the background. "We have a gig tomorrow, not tonight, right?" he questioned, ignoring the sound of his friend's tone. "Well here I was, thinking that you actually called because you missed me already," Jake joked, causing Alec to roll his eyes. "Just answer the damn question Jake," he stated, faking his urgentness; it was quite obvious because a giant smile was played out across his lips. "Alright, alright," his friend replied, a smile heard in his voice as well. "Yeah, we have one tomorrow, not tonight, but I'm not quite sure about tonight yet. Shelly wants to have a party tonight, and she wants us to play and all that jazz," Jake explained, his information causing Alec to furrow his eyebrows. "Can Demetri bring his crap if we do have to play? I don't have a way to fit all this stuff on my motorcycle. Maybe my guitars, but that's it." Jake turned away from the phone to ask Demetri, who was probably the one driving the truck. "Yeah, he said that's cool. Just bring your electric guitar," he assured. "Sure thing man, see you later," Alec hung up, sliding his phone back into the pocket of his jeans. He then turned to Anne and parted his lips to say, "Well, it seems like you have our room all to your self tonight. I'm probably going to be gone tomorrow night too, so you won't have to worry about privacy or anything." Alec stretched and fell back on his bed, the springs creaking under his weight. His eyes closed momentarily, resting from the stress of getting things moved out and in today.

Anne kept running the fingers over the violin strings and only looked up when he spoke again. "Oh, good. I was worried about keeping you up." She said, quietly. There were days when she want past midnight playing or composing; it tended to get on her roommates nerves. Either way, she liked privacy. Hopefully he'd be gone for a few days every month, that way she could play without waking anybody up. Suddenly, she stopped running her fingers over the strings and picked up the violin and bow. She felt like playing, the impulse always hit her without warning. As her 'roomie' relaxed she poised the violin over one shoulder and bent her arm over the strings. She spoke quietly to him. "Do you mind if I play?". If he said yes she would just smother the impulse and start unpacking her clothes and supplies.
