He was tired. That was all. That was the only reason he could think that he was acting out of normal character. Still...watching the mists as they moved about in their way was very entertaining and Divntra found himself rather...intrigued by them. Now that they were going to the room though his mind was preoccupied by other things. If he -had- paid for the two of them he hoped the room they had been given had a pair of beds rather then one! Divintra held the key in his palm as he climbed the stairs and gave it a throughful look. If there were two beds he could offer the one to Valin. If there was a single bed..well.. he was hurt and he really wanted something softer to lie on. He would feel very uncomfortable asking her to share the bed with him. He had not shared a bed since his mother vanished. it would feel...it would be very uncomfortable for him he was certain. Particularly the blurred thoughts he first had when he saw her.
Divintra cluthed the key tightly in his fist as he started to check the symbols on the doors upstairs. There were not that many and the door he was looking for was found quickly enough. Divintra was pleased to note that it was a corner room. He always preferred corner rooms. Slipping the key into the lock, he clicked it open and pushed it inwards. Stepping into the dark room, he noted that the room at leadst was in fair condition for the price he paid. There was no foul smell, and the place looked relatively clean. There was a small table to put belongings on, but no chairs... Divintra's eyes alid about the room, and he felt a surge of such relief when he spied a pair of beds rather then a single. Perhaps he had been paraniod for no reason?
Stepping in he nodded his head towards the beds. "Miss Valin, seeing as how I have inadvertantly paid for this room, would you honor me by making use of the second bed? I promise I will be proper in all matters. I don't expect anything at all if you accept and I will not be offended if you decline."

A similiar worry belatedly crossed through Valin's mind as well, causing her earlier smile to turn into a slightly confused muo. If it were a single bed then she could assume she would be leaving after the food had been delivered and devoured. But what if there were more than one bed, or a double bed? Would he offer for her to stay or would he go down to ask the bartender for a single room? Her thoughts ground to a halt when Divintra finally paused at the right door, peering around his shoulder as she waited for the door to open.
She blinked when the door finally swung inward to reveal a quite spacious room with two beds. Sidling over to sit on one, telling herself she would only use it as a chair to eat her food on, trying not to get taken in on the wonderfully soft feeling of actual sheets and a matress. "Well, I really shouldn't, I mean, I don't have the money to pay for half of the fee and," she began, pausing when her eyes caught sight of a pillow. A pillow! She had not used a proper pillow in years! Well, yes, there was the makeshift one made of scraps of cloth that awaited her at her ever moving home, big enough to serve as a bed and pillow. But this was an actual, softly stuffed, if slightly dusty from disuse, pillow.
Unable to resist, she picked the pillow up and hugged it, her eyes lighting with delight at the air seeped out of it in her arms. She once again reminded herself that if she were to stay she should get her own room for the night. But she did not fear sharing a room with a male, and her mists always guarded her while she slept, so her only misgivings would be payment. She would not allow herself to be indebted to Divintra now, not after she had refused to let him pay for the meal. Refusing his first offer of a gift might not have been rude, but refusing a second surely would be.
Undecided, she opened her mouth to give some answer, unknown yet to her, when a knock sounded upon the door. "It must be the food," she said, reluctantly setting the pillow back on the bed and crossing to let the servant in.

"Please Miss Valin?" Divintra tried hard to keep the tightness out of his voice. He wanted her to stay. Keep him company. It was horrible how badly she reminded him of his mother in ways. It was surely not something he could just admitt to her. She'd take offense. Or worse she'd storm out in a insulted manner. She was one of the few drow that he had found so easy to talk to. Besides, she had not yet let him repay her for saving his life. He had to find someway to do that!
He watched as she crossed and sat down on one of the beds, and he watched as she seemed to take delight in the pillow that was present. Surely she would stay! "I would...feel much safer if you were to remain while I recovered from my beating..." He offered as a hopeful excuse to encourage her to remain. It was only three nights after all. It would not be so long. He did not intend on going anywhere else really... The knock on the door proved to ba a distraction, and Divintra was surprised at how quickly the order came.
As Valin opened the door, Divintra caught sight of the serving girls face...flushed and a bit wide eyed as she peered into the room. Looking at..the beds? "Gak!"
Divintra felt his face flush with heat, and knew it was probably turning a very embaressing pink color. THAT was why they had sent the food up so quickly! The barkeep must not have wanted to interrupt them if they were...in the beds and...oh God he felt SUCH embaressment! Divintra placed his palms to his cheeks to hide the flush he felt there. Shifting on ihs feet he moved to the one bed that Valin had not taken and sat himself down while he waited for her to accept the food and send the girl away.

"Alright," she sighed, unable to deny the feeling of desperation she got from his voice, "I shall stay, for now at least." Strangely finding herself enjoying his presence more when he was happy she offered a smile, twitching her fingers for some of her mists to strike up a scene on the table similiar to the scene of the room they were in.
If he was that insistant it would be cruel of her to leave. Besides, she didn't like the looks of some of the Drow from the dining room, and the thought that even one of them was posibly staying in the same inn was enough to unsettle her. She was enjoying that she could finally talk about her mother without fear of the person she was talking to giving her strange looks and even strangers comments about it. And he did share the same philosophies... Maybe his mother had taught him some lessons her mother had yet to teach Valin? It would be interesting if they could compare some more what they had been taught and what they learned.
When she opened the door and came face to face with the obviously curious serving Drow she hastily took the plates and stepped back to set them on the little table, pausing as she realized her mists were still re-enacting the room around them. A strange sound came from Divintra and in her mists actions she could see him take to the bed and cover his face with his hands. Setting the tray of food down, dispersing the mists as she did so, she turned back to offer the serving girl a glare and a raised eyebrow.
The girl blushed deeper and scrambled to close the door for Valin and retreat down the stairs. Valin looked back to Divintra, frowning that he had been embarrassed so by the girl. "We do not know these people, right?" she offered, "So if you are unlikely to see them again what do you care if they draw... Amusing conclusions?" She didn't know of another way to put it, and could feel her own face heating a bit as she thought on it more, "It isn't as if what they thought was going to happen... Urrr..."
Her words died off in a mumble and she turned her attention to the food to change the subject. "If we don't start to eat soon my mists will take the initiative and dig in," she said, gesturing to the table and her mists which were now circling it as vultures, licking their beaks and swooping occasionally at the tray.

Her acceptance made Divintra smile. Despite his embaressment from the serving girls curious gaze. He was quite grateful that Valin saw to bringing the food in. His purple eyes lifted as she partly chastised him.
"I know...I know that Miss Valin. It's just...embaressing to have folks thinking such things about me...and you! You could do so much better then a freak like me. I dislike people making such embaressing assumptions about me. i'm sort of proud of the fact I'm..well... a uncommited male. So long as I remain free of any attachments I can continue doing my job and I really do enjoy it. I've learned many things and met many different people."
Divintra calmed himself down as he spoke, and he eagerly shifted off the bed to gently shoo the mists from their meal. "Ah ah! You can eat the steam from the rothe little grey birds." He cooed softly to her mist creatures. Picking the ale up from the tray, he looked at it thoughtfully.
"Miss Valin I have to confess something to you. I have not been completely honest... I actually had intended on asking you up to this room. I wanted to speak to you in private you see. You've done me a ood turn. I dislike being in debt to a person I may never see again..."
Still holding the mug, he looked towards the other drow. "You have a fascinating power Miss Valin. It is very useful and I admire it greatly. I have a power too, and I would like to use it for your benefit if you would allow me?"

Valin frowned again, turning a little defensive towards her new freind, "You are no freak; no more than I am. I think it would be..." She trailed off, unable to finish her sentence without her own face turning a dark red. "I am also proud to be an uncommited female," she said instead, "Although the people I have met have been less than pleasant, that has been partial to my own fault and obsession with my sword and my mother's murder..."
She had to pause suddenly, one of her earlier thoughts finally clicking in her head. Freind? Well, yes the pale Drow was surprisingly easy for her to talk to, disregarding the awkward moment a few spoken sentences ago, and they had seemed to come to a mutual respect of each other. But, could she have a freind? In this harsh world of the dark and deceitful Drow could there be such a thing as freindship? She frowned, dismissing from her mind the confusing thoughts. Apparently she was having a lot of those the more she actually communicated with others.
Her mists followed Divintra's direction and hovered eagerly about the steam, opening their little beaks to snap and peck as if devouring the rising trails of steam. She picked up her own mug to listen to his confession, her doe eyes blinking as she took in what he had to say, her own confusion eminant on her face.
"You have done me no harm in bringing me here, and though I do not wish repayment I can understand your reluctance to part as one indebted," she replied slowly, pausing to take a small sip of her ale and think back on her previous inward questions about a possible freind, "Though I should like to think it would not be as drastic as never seeing each other again. It could actually be an excuse for us to meet another time if you think about it the right way." Her smile was wry and she only half beleived her own words, taking another sip before her smile turned warmer.
"Not many think my power is fascinating," she said, turning her eyes to stare at her mist vultures tearing away at the steam as it faded, "And I do not see how useful it really is to any but myself in dangerous times or for amusement... But thank you for thinking so." She returned her gaze to Divintra with a smile and cocked her head to the side, "Well, I am honored for you to trust me with this power of yours, if you think it may help me in some way you may feel free to try... What exactly would this power be?"

Divintra was slightly taken aback by the defensive words aimed at him. He ducked his head slightly, his purple eyes peering into the depths of his ale mug. "Forgive me Miss Valin. I did not mean to upset you." And though her words seemed sad enough, Divintra felt only a small spark of hope as she mentioned a murder.
"I do prefer to make certain things are settled Miss Valin. It just seems more fair to be honest about the possibility of ones paths crossing again. Particulary when considering our lifestyles." His head tilted slightly, so he might reguard the mists at their play.
"I believe I could think of many useful things to use them Miss Valin. They definatly served you well tonight with the thieves. You might also be able to use them to mask your heat signiture when you wish to hide. In accordance to that I believe they might be very useful sneaking into places. I think it just takes a little creativity to think of all the neat things mist can accomplish..plus..." He could not hide his smile as he reached out to wiggle his fingers amid the little birds. "They seem very playful. I would not mind having something like this to keep me company on my travels"
Divintra placed his mug of ale on the table top, then shifted to sit himself down upon the bed nearest to Valin. With care he removed the black glass ball from his pouch and placed it between his folded legs. "Miss Valin... I have the power to..well.. I am a Diviner. I can see things. Visions and such. If you would permitt me. I would like to have a vision for you?"

Valin stared into her own mug as well, "It was not our fault, it is simply fact in this dark world we live, I should not hold ou accountable for thinking such things though I would wish it were not so." She took another sip and lifted her gaze once more, finding herself enjoying that she could have a conversation with another, ups and downs in the flow of exchanging words included.
Her eyes lit as he complimented her mists and attempted to play with them. "I think I could give you one if you wanted," she offered, beckoning a small wisp over to her lap, "I do not know if I would have to solidify its shape before hand, or if it would continue to be animate after it left my feild of control, but it would be a welcome challenge for me to try if you would like." She stroked the little wisp, cradling it in her hands as if gazing upon a favorite toy. It would make her happy to be able to share her mists with someone who actually liked them if she could.
"Really?" she asked, her eyes growing wide as she moved to sit across from him on the bed, the mist still cradled in her hands, "That is an amazing power! There are unlimited things you could do with something like that, much more helpful and interesting than mists." Her hands cradled the wisp closer to her, her eyes dropping to watch it curl about, her excited words for her idea now seeming a little thing compared to Divintra's power.
She remembered he had asked her a question at the end of his explanation and quickly nodded to answer it, "I think it would be ample payment and then some; but what would you have a vision about for me? Can you choose what you see? Or will anything just pop up?" Her mouth stuttered to a stop as she realized the many questions she was asking, and she paused so that Divintra might answer them and possibly See something for her, all the while wondering curiously what it might be.

"Is such a thing possible Miss Valin?" He asked with honest curiosity. He had not thought it would be possible...but... "I would be greatly honored if one of your Mists would keep me company. It would be wonderful really." Though he still kept a hand upon his glass ball, Divintra lifted the other hand to coax at one of the mist strands hovering about. It would certainly make his time traveling more interesting!
Though it seemed that Valin found his own power rather interesting. Almost instantly the pale white of Divintra's cheeks turned a flush pale pink. "I am afraid it is very limited though Miss Valin. I do not control the visions. They often choose to show me what they want. I have been practicing though, and I can at least nudge them in the general direction I would like them to go." So many questions! She asked them so quickly! He almost felt like laughing. She seemed as interested in his power as he was in her's!
If you give me a general thing to focus on. Such as..the success of a particular endevor. What a trip from one city to another could be like...something lost that you want found, or someone that you are looking for. I can use that as a focus of my meditation and I can see what the Vision may show me."

"I do not see why it would not be," she replied, finally releasing the mist she was holding. A small strand of mist coiled down to rest upon Divintra's hand, forming into a little spryte that cocked its head to the side to stare up at him with big eyes. "If you would choose which form you would like it I could try to keep it that way," she said, lifting her hands to call the mist strand to them, "I do not know if I'll be able to keep it that way or not, or if it wont choose a form of it's own after I start, but I think I can connect it to you so that it remains sentient and attached to you even after I leave." She was glad he seemed to like the idea, eager herself to see if her idea would work.
"It is still a very amazing power," she said, her eyes slipping down from her mists to stare at his ball. She wondered what it was exactly, and how he had gotten hold of something so beautiful without more theives than just the two she had beaten off coming after him. More questions formed in her mind, but she refrained from asking them, fearing she would scare him away from talking about his fascinating power.
She had to think on what she might want him to focus on. There were many things she wished to know: where her sword was, who had killed her mother, where she might find the sheet music that she currently desired, if she would ever regain her sword, if her music would ever become accepted for her to do something about it. Not knowing if specifics would make it difficult for him to pinpoint something, and fearing what drain on his strength his Sight might have in his current condition, she decided to try and stick to a broader topic instead of getting into the smaller questions. Her sword and her mother were the two things that she greatly desired to know about. She was still searching for her sword, and no matter how long it took she would find it, but finding it did not necessarily mean she would find her mother's killer. Which meant this was her best chance to find out. Her eyes closed for a moment and she let out a sigh before opening them, trying to mask the returning emotions of fear, anger, and despair of that incident, "I would like to know if you could See who killed my mother..."

It would be so very interesting! As he peered down at the tiny creature sitting in his palm, Divintra felt a flutter of excitedness in his chest. "Any form at all? Well, that's rather hard to think up. Particularly if it may be changing anyways...but... I think..." What would he like? In all honesty he liked it just fine as a tendril of mist. "Actually I think it would be very interesting if you could make it look like a little mouse with wings?" Divintra's cheeks once more began to flush with a pink coloration.
"I have a thing for mice. I find them...cute...?"
His attention returned to the black glass ball in his hand. Once it was that Valin gave him something to focus on..well.. Divintra swallowed dryly, then reached for his ale mug with his free hand.
"If you would be kind Miss Valin, would you make sure to wrap up my food later? I am afraid that, in order to ensure I have a vision I need something that...loosen's the mind." Divintra nodded his head slightly to the mug of ale with a very faint smile. "I'm terrible at holding my drink. So one cup is all that is needed to help. I'll be poor company after the vision and will likely fall asleep. So I do apologize in advance for my rudeness."
Divintra took a deep breath and prepared himself for the vision. First of course there was the drink. Placeing the mug to his lips, he began to down the sour drink in quick deep gulps. he hated the taste of ale. But it was the best 'stimulant' for his visions right now. Someday he hoped to be able to call them up without this 'sure fire' method.
Once the mug was empty, Divintra placed it shakily upon the table, and turned his attention to the black glass ball between his legs. He scooped it up with his white hands, and tilted his head to gaze into the darkness. Gradually the lids of his eyes slid half closed over the purple orbs. There would be no question when the vision arose though.
For the most part he stared silently into the ball. His mind slowly becomeing fuzzy enough to the point where even his focus on Valin's desire slipped away from him. When it was he reached that point, a flicker of sharp purple light flared within his glass ball. This light came from the heart of the glass ball, but was soon reflected in the iris' of Divintra's eyes. The purple within brightened until it was a un-naturally bright shade.
Divintra's mind placed him within the vision as usual. He did not move for anything other then to take a slow deep breath. He saw himself within the smithy. Standing to the side like a white ghost, he saw clearly a pair of men. Divintra approched them, and peered keenly at the make that was obviously the smith. Hnnn? Looking at him.. Divintra saw something of Valin in his eyes shape and the tinting of his hair. He turned to begin inspecting the other male. He seemed rather handsome, from what Divintra could tell. As he inspected the male, his lips began to move.
Outside of the vision, Divintra began to describe to Valin with perfect clarity the drow he was drawn to. Hair and eyes...markings should he have any. And most importantly the clothing he wore. Divintra's description was paused only when a woman entered the vision. behind her a small child lingered, like her own shadow. In his vision Divintra took a step towards the girl. For a moment he was quite distracted from his own purpose as he looked at the child. But it was only for a moment..he turned in time to witness the smith takeing a blade into his chest. Divintra started and his fingers tightened about his glass ball unknowlingly.
He tried to pull out of the vision...he did not believe there was any reason to linger now that he had seen the culprits features...yet he could not shake the vision. It clung to him. Forcing him to see through to the death of the lovely female. Divintra's hands remained gripped tightly upon his glass ball, his unblinking eyes frozen upon the black orbs surface. he saw the male leaveing the shop... and Divintra followed him. Just outside, to see the direction the male turned to...
The vision ended abruptly, as it often did. The brightness of his eyes winked out, and Divintra's tensed body relaxed as the unpleasent swirl of alcohol inflicted him with a dizzy spell. "Nygh...."

Valin laughed lightly, forming the mist as he spoke into a small mouse with big eyes and fluttery little wings. The creature would be finished later, as it seemed that Divintra was going to start on the vision right away. She began to protest when he mentioned that he had to use the ale and how he didn't like it so, but by the time any sound had a chance to utter from her lips he had already drunk it.
Sighing sadly, she removed the empty glass and wrapped the food as he had asked, her eyes remaining on the pale Drow as her hands worked. She seemed to finish just as the ball began to glow and quickly moved to sit next to the bed, not wanting to sit on it for fear of disturbing him. Starting when he began to speak, not know he could do so, she took note of all he said in his description, committing it to memory. All she could remember of him was the dark figure that loomed over her and the blood that spattered through the air in front of him.
She breifly wondered what his vision was, if he had found the male in a current situation or if he was seeing the actual murder itself. It was probably more likely that it was the murder, since how else was he supposed to know it was the right Drow, but she still held hopes for an alternate vision.
If he was seeing the murder, she thought glumly, it seemed he might be polite enough not to mention it? He had said that he wouldn't be the best of company because of the ale. She shook her head, it wouldn't be like he would mean to be rude, and he had apologized beforehand. He probably wouldn't remember anything if he said something off anyways. It was her agreement to let him try the vision, so it would be her fault if she was forced to share in the uncomfort of the results of it.
Her eyes blinked and she looked up from the ball when he started, then back down when his fingers clenched. She clenched her teeth, knowing it probably was the murder for a gentle Drow like him to have a startled reaction, though she still held some reserve hoping it was not so.
She waited for it to end, standing when he finally moved and moving to draw the covers back from the bed. It would probably be better for him to sleep, she thought, his wounds from the thugs probably still affecting him. Her mouth opened and she let her Siren's song flow out. The Moldau filled the room, and probably the ones around it and the tavern down the stairs. It rang softly in the air as a calm presence, inviting of calm thoughts and a restful spirit. Unsure if it would work to quell the obviously unpleasant side effects of the alcohol she lifted her hand for the small winged-mouse to flutter to. She could put her song to more than just one use while she was at it.
The mist bent and reformed, mixing with the form Divintra had asked for and the thoughts that were floating with Valin's own head. Her mother's form was what came often to her when she tried to calm herself, not as she was when she died, but how she had been when she lived. The mist formed and reformed, unwilling to commit to just one form at first. She let her song take on a more playful tone, twitching her fingers and trying to get it to hold one form as she began to give it an attatchment to Divintra.
Her eyes closed finally, her voice growing weary from trying to sing quietly for so long, and she let the mist take what form it would. She let her voice grow lower and lent it thoughts of attatchment, of want to stay with a person other Valin. Her mother wriggled into her emotions then, the only other person that Valin herself had ever been so closely attatched to.
When her song finally died away and her eyes slipped open the mist had left her hands to float happily over Divintra. She smiled as it darted around his head, trying to twitch her fingers at it to leave him alone only to find she had no control over what it decided to do. Her eyes blinked in surprise and she realized that in order for it to completely disconnect from her it also had to disconnect from her power.
She narrowed her eyes and tried again to make sure, but it continued to flit about the pale Drow's head, waving its arms and dancing in the air as if to attract attention to itself. Wait... Arms? Her eyes flew open and then narrowed once more as she peered at the continuously moving swirl of mist, trying to figure out what form it had finally decided to take. It had wings still, and a mouses tail, but its body was that of a girl. She thought it must have liked the spryte form it had taken earlier, but the more she looked at it the more she thought she recognized it.
Finally figuring out what it had formed into Valin nearly fell over in her position on the floor. It was her mother! It had wings and a tail and there were mouse ears sticking out of her curly hair, it was the exact image of her mother! Valin steadied herself and moved from the foor to her own bed to get a closer look at it. If she didn't know that the proud posture and longer, curly hair was truly her mothers Valin could have guessed it was herself.
She shook her head, wondering somewhat at why it had chosen that form but knowing it had something to do with her thoughts of attatchment as she had sung the spell. With a small sigh she looked to the table, realizing that though she had wrapped Divintra's food her own remained unwrapped and uneaten. Not wanting it to go to waste, she crossed back to the table to bring her food with her back over to the bed, setting it next to her to nibble on as she picked up the pillow to hug again and let her thoughts wander through all that had happened that day.

He had worse visions. Not many though. What honestly was the worst part of forcing a vision in this manner was the alcohol currently in his system. Divintra had never had a taste for drinks of this sort. In fact, he had always turned down alcohol in the past. It was only when he realized it could aid in calling up his visions that he had relculantly begun to drink. Still..the feeling of his head so fuzzy and unfocused was disconcerting.
He wasn't quite aware of what Valin was doing at first. His alcohol fuzzed eyes blinked about the room as he tried to resettle his mind in the fact tha-this- was the reality. Not the vision dream. When he heard the notes of her song. A rather simple chilish type smile curled upon his white lips and he fell back onto the bed. Divintra half curled on his side, his black glass ball tucked protectively against his chest as the strange song lulled him easily into slumber.
Despite his earlier warnings and misgivings of his possible actions following the vision, Divintra was exceptionally quiet. His eyes fluttered only once, and that was due to the waving determination of the mouse elf. Opening his eyes a crack, divintra uttered a small giggle at the antics of the mist mouse elf. "Silly..." He mumbled softly before closeing his eyes again.

Valin had to smile at his giggle; at least she knew he liked the little mist girl in a drunken stupor. The mist girl was not so easily satisfied. Disheartened at being called 'silly' she fluttered down first to his earing to use as a swing, and then growing bored with that gave an exaggerated yawn and curled up in his hair, pulling some of it over her as a blanket and immitating how Divintra was currently laying.
Shaking her head and trying to stifle a laugh, Valin finished off what she could of the cold food and stood to bring the tray back over to the table. A small tap on the door made her look up, and she quickened her pace to set the tray on the table and take a step towards the door, her mists already flowing under it to see who might want to disturb them this time.
She grimaced when her mists reported that it was the large Drow from the corner downstairs. Her hands were just coming up to strike preemptively at the Drow when the door flew in and off its hinges, crashing to the side and knocking over the table, scattering what food was not covered over the floor. Doe eyes squinting shut as splinters flew past them, Valin tried to send her mists into the intruder's clothing, only to realize he was wearing all leather hide. She hoped for a moment that Divintra wouldn't be disturbed before the other Drow grinned and took a large step towards her, "Well, well, pretty lady, why don't you sing me a little song, too?"
His hands reached out for her and Valin's eyes flashed, immediately her Siren's song issueing forth from her mouth, "You want a song?!" The usually cheerful and playful middle melody of the Moldau filled the air, to ring through the other Drow's ears in warnings of malicious games her mists could play with him. Her mists at the moment were filling the air he breathed, filling his lungs with their vapor which condensed into water to drown him from the inside.
He laughed as his hands closed about her waist, trying to drag her towards him. Valin grabbed a leg of the table and, with her mists help of course, swung the whole table around to smack the male in the face. A cry of pain errupted from his wetted throat and he lifted Valin off the floor in response, removing one of his hands from her waist to throw a punch at her. She used the opening to wriggle out of his grasp, throwing all of her weight to one side to both avoid the punch and put pressure on the open side of his fingers. Falling to the ground and rolling, she sprang to her feet only to be knocked down again, rolling again until she hit a wall and had to jump to one side.
The other's fist came crashing down right after she got out of the way, but she stood where she had landed, panting and smirking. "You seem to be having some trouble there, would you like some help?" she asked innocently. He only roared at her in reply, though it was weak as she had noticed her mists were slowly but surely suffocating him. She jumped back at his next swing only to find herself against the wall in the corner by the door. His fist barely glanced off of her in the right shoulder, but he no longer had the strength to hold himself up and his momentum brought the rest him falling into Valin. They both crumpled to the floor and Valin had to fight her way out from under him, using her back against the wall to kick him towards the doorway just as the barkeep appeared in it.
"What is going on?" he demanded, his eyes widening at the broken door and the unconsious man with water bubbling out of his mouth at his feet. Valin stood and brushed herself off, calmly striding over to the door and, again with the help of her mists, picked it up and brought it back to the doorway. Her mists shoved both of the males out the door, the barkeep falling over as the unconsious man hit his legs. He could only stare up at Valin as she replied, "Nothing, just a little rat that got into the room."
Her doe eyes were narrowed dangerously as if to dare him to say more and when he didn't she set the door back in its frame and set her mists to guard it for the rest of the night. They would hiss and roil at anyone who tried to approach the room, at least partially guaranteeing them a peaceful rest of the night. Heaving a sigh of releif and falling into her bed, Valin ignored the rest of the room and the food on the floor, wanting nothing but to snuggle into her pillow at the moment.

It was absolutly impossible for Divintra to sleep through such a event. The moment the door was kicked open and down, he was up. His purple eyes widened at the sight of the male from downstairs. he was not so drunk that he did not know why the male was here.
He kicked at the blankets and squirmed to get to his feet. Not that he had any idea at all what he was going to do mind you. Divintra had no form of combat training. At the moment his ownly thought was maybe to throw himself around the leg of the male and yell for Miss Valin to get away...
Though... getting away did not seem to be the option she was choosing. A small winged elf girl fluttered in his face, partly blinding him as it..was...he... getting scolded?
That's what it looked like. With it's pointing finger shaking at his nose and it's hand on it's hip. He wasn't...what...? Great...he was hallucinating now too?
The sound of the table crashing drew his attention back to the fight..and in the next few moments he was quite stunned at the fight. Miss Valin had surely done a good job against the thugs, but he had assumed her skill was limited to distance fighting. When the drow toppled over, he got unsteadily to his feet, with the intention of helping her of course.
Miss Valin did not seem to be the sort that needed help though.
Divintra looked blankly at the barkeep, and inwardly he worried about being charged for the damage to the room. But..it seemed the barkeep was unsettled enough by Miss Valin, and he left rather quickly. With the door secured in place, Divintra only stared at Valin with his own wide eyed look until it was obvious she wanted only to sleep.
Divintra crawled into his bed, mindful of the little mouse woman that seemed to be trying to tug a corner of the sheet over him. With a faint smile he pulled the sheet and blanket over himself and allowed sleep to claim him.

Divintra slept quite deeply for the night and following day. He woke only once, to relieve himself in the bathroom down the hall, and to devour the food that was left unspoiled by the previous nights fight. The following day he was awake for short periods of time. During with time he spent a good deal of time playing, with utter childish delight, with the mist mouself. Whom he had determined to call Lin.
When the third and final day came Divintra woke a bit later then he wished. Hunger itself was the rouseing point really. His body had healed up well enough. When he peeked under his shirt briefly he could see the ugly black and purple bruises that signified the worst area's that had taken the beating. But he felt no lingering pain in his leg. This he assumed was a good thing and all he needed to do was heal up from the bruises.
