Luna looked out at the rain from a window near the library of the organization, today, for now at least, she had nothing to do. She kept her untidy black hair pulled up in a pony-tail, and wore a pair of faded grey jeans and a shirt to match, it wasnt like she was going to be doing anything other than reading anyway. She whistled softly into the rain, worried, if Merria, her falcon, hadnt gone out she would be in the library reading instead of waiting by a window. Why the blasted bird had decided now of all moments to go hunting she had no idea, but Luna was glad when the large bird swooped in out of nowhere, into the open window, and landed on her masters shoulder. A dead frog lay in the birds beak, and it blinked at her as if she had done nothing wrong, its feathers dripped the rain onto her soulder, soaking her shirt halfway with cold water. "Go eat that somewhere else, okay, make sure you dry off..." Merria was one of her closest companions, she didnt want her sick. "I'll be where I always am.." With a few blinks of her eyes the bird flew off down the hall, not dripping anymore, Luna's shirt held most of the water from the birds wings.

Summer entered Duskwall with her hood pulled up over her head to shield it from the rain. She looked around at her surroundings the went to a plateform at what appeared to be a train station. She looked up and down to see if anyone realized what she was or was looking at her.

Elise turned to see a hooded figure walk onto the train platform. She had an odd feeling of the hooded person, but averted her attention back to Obi. Such a grumpy old man, who can even stand him? Thought Elise. Elise studied the grumpy man's face, sensing his annoyance. "Well for your information I'm seeking membership in the organization." She retorted. "Would you permit me to ride the Silent Express?"

Summer saw a girl look at her. She walked over to were the girl was and saw that she was talking to someperson. "Hello, might i ask when the next train will be arriving do you no?" Summer asked to cover the real reason she was there in the first place. She kept her hood over her head so noone could see her face.

Obi sighed, "The Silent Express is not managed by me. Prospective organization members and current member may ride, for a fee of 5 gold coins if they don't have an organization pass." He looked hard at Elise, then looked over to summer, "The next train leaves in ten minutes. Unless you're talking about the express, which is leaving in five... Now, young one, are you asking my permission because you need to borrow money, or do you mistakenly believe I'm an authority of trains? I'm not. I manage Drakes. After I get back to Whispershade, I'm taking one back, but if you're joining, you have to find your way through the woods. That's the first test." He looked at the train pulling up, "that would be the Express. Conductor!" He pulled out a small pink card, A man in a uniform immediately came out.
"Master Obi! Let us take those bags for you."
Obi glared at the man, "You will make the meat smell wrong, and the Drakes won't eat it. I'll hold my bags, thank you. See to it that the girl without the hood gets on the proper car. She's prospective member. And..." He whispered something, dropping coins in the conductor's hand before stepping into a car behind the engine.
"Yes, sir." The conductor strode up to Elise and Summer, He was wearing black, with gold buttons. in the lighting, his eyes couldn't be seen. He pointed at Elise, "You are a very lucky girl, my dear. Obi rarely puts in a kind word, and even more rare is paying for another's fare." He handed her a ticket, "He also told me that you aren't to tell anyone he did this, save Van Helsing."

"Well well looks as if everyone is leaving so i shall bid all farwell." Summer pulled her hood off her head. Her eyes were gleaming red, she smiled slightly her fangs showing just the tips of them. "Bye all." She then calmly left the station and began to walk out of Duskwell.

Luna attempted to ring out the water that had soaked her shirt and succeded halfway, it was only now damp. It was times like this that she wished she had her fathers strength of fire, at least her shirt would be dry. She walked down the hallway thinking, there was a hearing today, about a member who had been infected, perhaps she should look through the records for other such cases that were allowed to survive, she didnt want anyone killed on the grounds that they now had fur. Stepping into the library was like stepping into home, for the half of her life that Luna hadnt been fighting she had been reading, she had a special bond with books. She didnt see anyone nearby so she took the time to hold her hand over a nearby candle, warming it, the rain had truely been very cold.

"Careful, you may just burn your had doing that." Came a warning from the top of a bookcase. It was, of course, Marie, who was reading in the light of her lantern.

Luna looked up as she pulled her hand away from the flame, it would take just a bit of a hotter flame than that to burn her. "Hello Marie." She smiled, it was always in the most awkward places you could find Marie reading in, on top of book cases, under tables, on tables, or in chairs. But that was mostly normal. "Where do we keep the records of infected members allowed to stay in the organization, I dont exactly remember, even though I'm listed..." Luna had the tendancy to ignore her affliction as long as she wasnt attacking anything in the feild. It made her feel just the slightest bit normal.

"Ah, the Unusual Member Records. Which would you prefer to browse, the Vampire or Werewolf ones?" Marie asked, jumping off her perch to float down to the ground. Her book was titled "History of Inexplicable Events."
"We keep those records in the Restricted Section. All Vampire and Werewolf lists are in the Member Records, Titles are 'Profiles of Perfect Werewolf Members, by Lewis Van Helsing,' and the Vampire list is 'Members Afflicted with Vampirism, by Dr. Stein,' For Lesser and Greater werewolf members, you'll find them in the book 'Infected Organization Members, by Prof. Moreau.'" Marie smiled. She was the only person in the Organization who had memorized location, title, and author of every book in the library. A impressive feat, as the library was about two acres of bookshelves about ten feet tall.
"Though I believe there was a checkout of the 'Infected Organization Members' by the Professor himself. Possibly updating it."

"Ah, he would have checked it out, I heard there was a hearing today on one of the members bitten by a vampire lately, I merely wanted to see if anything was still in." Luna hadnt memorized as much as the library as Marie had, most of her time was taken up by fighting anyway now-a-days. She herself was in 'Profiles of Perfect Werewolf Members' as was her mother, she didnt know if her father was in it or merely crossed out. In the destroyed records. She sat down on the edge of a chair, making sure her wet shirt wouldnt touch the plush fabric and transfer the dampness. "I do hope they keep her, it would be a shame, to loose someone who has worked hard just because of the affliction..."

Elise's questions were answered, but she had a lingering thought of what Obi had said. A test? Find my way through the Whispershade forest? Wow the organization sure is harsh, guess they want people who's up for the job. She listened to the smartly dressed conductor, and was surprised at what she heard. Wow, someone as grumpy as him putting a kind word, and paying a ticket? I guess I shouldn't judge people too harshly from first impressions. Elise turned to see the hooded figure's face revealed. She saw the sharp tips of Summer's fangs, and her eyes enlarged with horror. A vampire! Here in Duskwell!? This place is run by the organization! She's one nutty vampire to come here, in almost broad daylight! (Elise quickly looked up, but to her dismay the weak winter sun, was covered by clouds.) Unless she's a vampire who's powerful enough. Elise decided it was about time to boarded the train, and walked into the open doorway, turning round to see if Summer was still there. She's gone but there's still something called an invisibility spell. This thought nagged Elise but then there was nothing she could do, as the Silent Express left the station.

"They probably will, though there's going to be some animosity. It's rather sad how people regard each other differently if somethinmg changes status quo..." Marie said. Being a vampire, she'd had her share of hate too. Nowadays, everyone just saw her as the Librarian.
"The professor should return it soon, but the last profile will tell who was infected..."
