"Then why not take that up with Thorne?" Hoshi said.
"He's currenly with company of his own." the man replied simply. "I'll have a little talk with him when he has more attention for me. If he hasn't been dealt with already."
"Oh? You're not going to step in and protect him?"
"I did once. And for what he did, I assigned a new Abolisher to take his place. There's no absolute need for me to rush to his rescue now." the man replied. "And...if I know Thorne as well as I think I do...I think it will be justifiable for me to take my shield back from you first."
Hoshi clearly became unhappy with the new turn of events.
"So..." the man continued, raising his arm towards him. "About my shield..."
Soon, two things on his armored hand began to glow. One, the ring that was already glowing dimly, slowly increased it's glow. A white jewel in the center of the glove also began to glow, showing that it now held part of his shield again.

Strange just continued to watch, looking mildly amused by that point. This was going very well.

After a moment, the man lowered his arm and took a look at his hand. More importantly the ring on his hand. Appearing satisfied with the other jewel on his hand, he glanced back up at Hoshi, who at this point apparently knew he was in trouble.
"And how does this fit with your whole 'balance' thing?" Hoshi growled.
The man shrugged. "One Xiao is quite enough. Let alone the possiblility of Thorne having made you an alternative body should he be killed." he replied, then turned his attention towards the other man. "He's perfectly vulnerable to your magic now, by the way." he said, then turned and moved down the hall. Or at least far enough so that they couldn't see him.

Strange nodded, muttered something, and the next second Hoshi was nothing more than a statue made out of marble. Period.

Terragon glanced back at the other room a second, then continued down the hall. He shouldn't have to worry about Hoshi anymore. Now he simply needed to figure out how to get the other half of his shield back. Though...that might have to wait. A better decision would be to decide wether he should stay here and wait, or go back to Sholeh's realm. No...no that would be too far at this point. He'd have to find somplace on Earth if he decided to move.

After a bit of thought, Balancer took another quick glance down at his ring. Grimmacing a bit, he sighed and began to vanish. As much as he hated it, he might need a small bit of help.

ENTER Chaos and Jester from Gotham City.
Chaos swung around on his Blood Strand and jumped a great distance, catching onto a helicopter and landing near this place. "This looks good." He said as he dropped Jester and felt a rage consume him. He was about to punch Jester in the face again before he regained control and simply turned around and began to walk. Jester however just continued to cut.

Alex continued trying to chase after Chaos, and went as far as she could before loosing sight of him. Then she kept going in the direction he should have been heading before neading to stop. She was exhausted.

Riku looked down at his hand, what the hell happened to him. "This power has definatly multiplied." He said to himself as he waited on Alex; somehow he could see her even though she was that far away. He shot out a Blood strand and caught onto her before pulling her towards him and catching her.

Alex had just stood up straight again, after having been bent over her knees trying to catch her breath, when she felt something wrap around her. She recognised it, but didn't see where Riku....oh.
Suddenly she was jerked from her feet and yelped out of surprise. She closed her eyes, half expecting to smack into something at such long a distance. Instead she found a rather gentle landing and opened her eyes again. Wow...that's never happened before.

Riku had her in his arms but looked away and jumped off the wall. Once he was safely down he dropped her. "You tired?" He asked.
