Well, Kuwabara's been shown (in the Japanese, several times) to be somewhat of a perv on occasion. He made a crack about taking advantage of Miyuki when s/he was unconscious after the fight with Yuusuke, and several times he's seemed genuinely enthusiastic about the prospect of dirty movies. Granted, I suppose I'm not sure what constitutes "perv" in this context, but while he's quite respectful towards the women he knows personally, he's also a teenage boy.

That ^ I get completely, and agree with. xD But to the woman is just. o.o

...xDDD That's all I have to say at this moment.

Edit: WAIT. Yusuke telling Keiko that - though there were times I didn't like her, will ALWAYS piss me off. He will most certainly call her a b***h, and be an obnoxious jackass in general, but he doesn't call HER a b***h as much as just saying the word. And adding HORRID? ADJECTIVES? XD I just shouted the word adjectives.

But seriously. >.<

True. True. sweatdrop

OKAY. My own pet peeves:

Hiei singing. Just. No.

Hiei crying under any but the most ******** circumstances. Hell, I had to use temporary insanity to get him to cry in one of my fanfics, and even then, I eventually axed that scene entirely because it still made me cringe, even WITH the insanity backing it.

Kurama as a weepy, wibbly little bundle of angst. He's about the most complicated character in the show, and I can guarantee that as much angst as might be there -- and there's plenty, don't get me wrong -- it's not even close to the majority of his personality.

Hiei as a weepy, wibbly little bundle of angst. There's even less excuse here -- sure he's got the most angsty backstory of any other character, but his personality is anything but self-indulgent and self-pitying. For frack's sake.

Yuusuke telling Keiko she's a horrid b***h. I don't know if I can really even talk about this one without descending into RAGE at the severe OOC.

Hiei killing Kuwabara in anything other than a freak accident. Not gonna happen, re: does not hate him, also knows Yukina likes him. Hurting Yukina = categorical anathema.

Yuusuke betraying or intentionally letting down any of his friends or loved ones. I just -- loyalty and self-sacrifice are two of his MAJOR DEFINING CHARACTERISTICS. GAH.

Hiei + Domesticity. In any form.

Haha, LOVED the last one. XD

Yeah, Hiei singing/dancing is just NO. NO NO NO NO NOOOOO! Plus, Hiei doesn't even know HOW to dance. D<

Haha....Hiei+Kuwabara...freak accident. I really don't know WHY that makes me giggle. : D

hahahah the freak accident..

'We're going to teach you to drive today Hiei.."
Bam! down goes Kuwabara..woops..

I did make Hiei cry sweatdrop Mainly because he thought he had betrayed Kurama by getting too..crude..and then he put all that on himself. Remember how he said he wanted to blame himself- wanted to believe he was evil. well all that about how he is bad and wrong came to a head. He only cried a single tear and kinda stared at it like he couldn't believe he cried. There are otheer things that when I go back and think about it..maybe Hiei wouldn't exacty do XDD

What is with my tendency to make him like sweets! I don't think he would if I think about it..unless Makai fruit is very sweet and the taste of sweets won't be too harsh on his taste buds...

Cuz if you dont eat much sugar that'll be bad.

LOL. Hiei dancing and singing.

Seriously. I think I'd pay more than the characters that know him to see that happen. razz

Which is why I giggle a little bit inwardly when I listen to the soundtrack. WHY IS HIEI SINGING? (and he's so fittingly not good at it. xD) And that cover picture of him dancing around near Kurama in those horrid clothes? xD

That's s**t's just silly, fo real.

Point being. Hiei dancing makes me LOL because it's not possible. *shakes head* Or singing.

Hahaha! Hiei learning to drive. XD

See, I don't think Hiei would like sweets. If anything, I think he'd like spicy food. Hot cheetoes, Mexican, and Thai for my fire baby Mr. Inferno

...I had the most pleasant dream last night. o//o;

I wonder how Hiei would attempt to tackle dancing. The only way I can picture is him starting to punch things. XD
PostPosted: Sat Oct 10, 2009 6:18 pm

We all know if he ever attempted EVER and Yusuke found out...it'd lead to an angry Hiei who refused to ever dance again.

And Hiei dancing is something Yusuke would find out about. razz Srsly. (Mainly because...where's the fun in Hiei deciding to randomly dance alone in a tree somewhere in an abandoned forest? >.>)

Spicy food! Yes. I see it. *shares her fire cheetoes with him...*

But ice cream? And then calling it Sweet Snow?

Anyway. I think what pisses me off most about it, is Kurama wouldn't ever, EVER tell him it was called Sweet Snow.

And if Hiei happened to go clinically insane and turn into a stupidass five year old, and call it sweet snow, Kurama would correct him. It's not even Hiei's roll in the sweet snow nonsense that upsets me most. It's Kurama. D:

I did NOT notice the driving thing.

Omg.

He should drive a bug. biggrin (not like the one in the last episode. >.> like, the car kind. xD)

xDD You know what I don't like in fandom? D: And I think it was brought up before but probably a year ago, so I'll say it again, cause I'm not gonna go check old pages. razz

Mean!Yusuke.

He's a douchebag. *nods* But. D: He's also nice, and I've seen some horrid characterizations of him where he is just the biggest a*****e. And it's written like....that is actually how they see him. D:

ARE WE WATCHING THE SAME SHOW, PEOPLE? gonk

OMG! ULTIMATE LOLS! (Imagining Hiei doing the cabbage patch while sitting in a tree!) XD

I know. It IS Kurama. I mean, how could he NOT correct someone. XD (Thinking back to Kuwabara.
Kuwabara (referring to Koenma): Yeah, I thought he had some sort of oral fiction.
Kurama: Fixation. And blahblahblah)
Quote:

OMG! Imagine Hiei having road rage inside a bug! XD

As for "Mean!Yusuke" I really don't see that happening canon-wise...like AT ALL. Yusuke is one of the most compassionate characters in the entire show. I mean, that's just one of his HIGH-LIGHTED, mind you, personality traits. I mean, he only comes second to like, what, Kuwabara? And even then that man's practically a saint (when it comes to the big stuff of course, like, yeah he can be a perv at times but he's a teenage boy for heaven's sakes...) So mean Yusuke, is just a no. Yes, he has a temper that can get the better of him. But no. Being mean is Hiei's job. (Being cruel is Kurama's. : D)
PostPosted: Sun Oct 11, 2009 4:43 pm

Omfg, it's true. :O I sometimes forget, but Kurama is DEFINITELY more cruel than Hiei.

Hiei "evil" is almost forced. But Kurama's the one that can just shut off and be heartless. :O Hiei just gets angry, which is SO not the same thing.

Kurama even scares Hiei a little, to the point where he could ADMIT it to strange human boys, because it's just that ********' true. XD I forget because Kurama seems so docile. D: But he's not. He's a scary ******** when he needs to be. xD

Yusuke is big ol' softie. He's quicker to annoy than Kuwabara, but man, no one can be morally perfect like that dork. xD Hiei's just angry. Grar. xD But Kurama. D: (I've never said this, but he's always been my least favorite. xD First he bored me, and then he was like =| and then he was both. xD)

Yusuke and Hiei are both wonderful examples of a form of social deviance called labeling. razz People label them, and they conform and be what is expected of them. xD In that "Fine, ******** you." way. XD

LOL. XD Now I have a Hiei dancing in a tree image stuck in my head. xDDD

AND NOW ROAD RAGE IN A BUG. DAMNIT. XD If I had any drawing creativity, that's where I'd be RIGHT NOW. XD

Yeah. Putting labels on some of the YYH characters (Yusuke, Kurama, and Hiei especially) is VERY VERY dangerous. You will never be able to interpret them correctly if you don't break that label. I learned that the hard way...

Teehee...my imagination kills me with joy. >w<
PostPosted: Mon Oct 12, 2009 10:05 pm

Thinking of Hiei dancing in the forest...makes me think of some weird pagan ritual. It would probably involve nudity and unborn babies. gonk

I think the YYH characters are too deep for stereotypes. They don't really fit into any of the molds that people draw for them (though some idiots try to change them to fit there...for instance, making Hiei "goth" or Yusuke a "ganster.")

I find it interesting that you dislike Kurama, Tee. I mean...he's a genius who's actually a fox stuck in a human body...? I did have mixed feelings about him during some of the arcs...for instance, the Chapter Black arc, specifically when he killed Game Master (it wasn't that I had anything against that move in particular, but the way he handled it wasn't exactly smooth.)

My biggest revelation with him came during the Three Kings arc, when it's revealed that he hired someone to kill/blind Yomi. Seriously, I was thrown by that. (Which doesn't make a lot of sense, given how cruel he was portrayed through the ENTIRE series before that.)

o.o; My mind went some where so horrible - that I will take the image of nude Hiei and babies out of my mind RIGHT now, because it hurts and frightens me...

xD

o.O;

ANYWAY.

Quote:
Yusuke a "ganster."

...Gold grillz?

o.O;

*dies*

I dunno if I DISLIKE him. I think I have horribly mixed feelings about him. In all honesty, I like everyone from Kuwabara to Suzuka. Generally, if they have a couple episodes and end up on the good guy side, they have a soft spot in mah heart. ;D

Like, sometimes I love him a little. Though...(creepily, this relates to the pairing thread a little and what you said...xD I need to watch it, now.) I like him best when he's around Yusuke. Lawl. Just thinking about it. Yusuke always seems to bring out the best or worst in people (that's how I see it, at least xD) and as his friend, he seems to bring out the cute, silly, nice side of Kurama. You know, when I totally forget he can be a cruel b*****d. XD

Killing that kid...GOD. I HAVE TO SEE IT AGAIN. I remember it being a very D: moment. I remember that whole saga being much darker than all the others. It was slightly creepy and out of place.

But yeah...I remember it being very..."Omfg, I think he murdered that child...And he seems cool with it...o.O"

That really was...Maybe it was because of the difference between Yoko and the little pink haired fellow? I dunno, because I think I could imagine him doing it again if he needed to. o.O But like, I know what you mean. It was kind of. I dunno. It was a little beyond expected, while still not being that much different from anything. xD

Demons, man. They don't have those silly human inhibitions. xD
PostPosted: Wed Oct 14, 2009 8:05 pm

Dude, Kurama killing Game Master made me cry. Soooo sad. And how beat up Kurama was about it. *tear tear*

I think it's impossible NOT to have mixed feelings for Kurama. I find myself bordering a fangirl at times. o_o;

Quote:

(nods) Tis true. : ) Look at Hiei, Kurama, even Kuwabara...and Koenma went through major development due to him. : )

Le sigh. One of the reasons why writing them is so hard at times. : )

That was. D: That whole part upset me - and YYH generally doesn't get..."dark" enough to make me anything other than slightly intrigued. (I always love it, but I don't get the "D: Eh..." feelings that something like...hm, Death Note's my best example of something that continued to make me feel yucky about life while reading it. xD)

Kurama...does that to me sometimes as well. xD Damn him and his confusing ways!

Yes! Yusuke is wonderful like that. *fangirls*

Omg, I know...well, I don't. Because I haven't done YYH fanfiction. >.> But I'm in this creating process, and the IDEA OF IT is like "Oh God, I'll be sooooo OOC. XD"

So...I can imagine? might be a better way to say it. razz
PostPosted: Wed Oct 14, 2009 9:53 pm

Yusuke really does tend to bring out the best in people. I mean, he even did that with most of the VILLAINS!

I think that it's really easy to get OOC with a demon due to the cultural differences. I mean, the show gives us nothing in terms of the way demons live. It's really hard to write extensively about them (especially OCs) when you know nothing about demons.

Not to mention are a human and thus are biased as to how one would react to things. Writing Hiei, and Kurama ESPECIALLY is so difficult just because of the emotions they do or don't have. Kurama's super difficult because he's plays both teams (NOT LIKE THAT), human and demon. v_v;
