" Mine too" Bishop confirmed " Im we could decorate cookies, or the really tiny gingerbread houses but well have to wash our hands." Nothing the girls had been using was toxic but it really shouldn't get on potential food.

The pumpkin haired girl though carefully about what made a good secret sign for them. " Something with feathers and flowers or maybe an eyes with a flower inside it."

" Well I suppose when they become teenagers and hit that rebellious running away from home stage we'll know where to look for them." Carol grinned at that. It was entirely possible for close friends to rely on each other in such a way completely forgetting that their friends had parents and there was a magical device called a telephone.

Andrea thought carefully about the question. Did she see her self as a type of dog based on it's looks or it's breed traits. "I think maybe a pitbull becuase they're very stubborn and strong." They weren't the prettiest type of dog but they weren't horribly ugly either.

Bishop nodded and stood" A flower with wings sounds really cool." The young girl tried to imagine a flying flower and the idea made her laugh. With a smile she began to walk towards the gingerbread decorating area carefully holding Kaimi's ornament but the string at the top. It was mostly dried but she didn't wanna risk smudging the paint or glitter. " Do you wanna make a house together?

Bishop Sat down at the Gingerbread table besides an empty seat for Kaimi and motioned to the lady running it that she and the other girl would be sharing a house. In return the amber eyes girl received a fully constructed gingerbread house that to be honest smelled great but look sort of like it was made of cardboard. Still the structure was stable and the girls would be able to press down on the walls and ceiling a bit to stick on mints and candies.

In addition to the house the girl's were given a plethora of mult-coloured edible decorations. Sprinkles,-jube-jubes, jeally beans and more awaited their final use as posts and shingles and little mini lights.

" Castles are grey though and grey things look gross to eat." Castles were awesome but not for eating." I like the dream house idea, it can be magic and have rooms inside that move, even if we can;t see inside this one."


Across the building the village's hired Santa appeared and made his way to the appointed seat. He carried with him a small red bag with unknown objects inside.

Andrea knew Santa wasn't real, her mother had told her the year before when the girl had been concerned that what if the man snuck in and decided to take their stuff instead. She'd also been confused about how anyone could really know i you were good or bad unless they were spying.

Still Mara might not know and it would be fun to till him what she wanted and get a free candycane. You always got a free candycane.

" Can we go see? The young blond asked with a smile. Already other children and their parents were lining up for the great Santa appearance

Carol nodded " I don't have a problem." She turned to look at Naomi.

" At the top in the front so I can look out and see cars and people going by" Bishop replied as she began to gather up small rectangular mints to make a fence with. At home her bedroom looked out onto the backyard which was boring especially now that the yard was covered in snow.

Carol drained the rest of her eggnog then stood as well and walked behind an excited Andrea. Her eyes flicked over the the other too for a moment and she smiled " Sounds good, I have a feeling Kaimi and Bishop could care less about Santa at the moment."

" What are you going to ask Santa for?" Andrea inquired. " Oh and don't bite him or all you'll get is coal" she teased.

Using some of the sticky icing to hold then in place Bishop began setting up her multicoloured fence. It would be funny , she thought to really have a fence with rainbow colours. Although it might get them a lot of weird attention too. "A secret passageway would be awesome and we should have really huge beds so we can have sleepovers in each other's rooms sometime." Bishop paused at the idea " You should sleep over for new years , becuase we're allowed to stay up all night anyways." It would be cool to have Kaimi over at her house, she could show the other girl the store and teach her how to give change and watch the customers in the mirrors so they didn't know you were watching.

" A puppy is cool" Andrea looked thoughtful " It'd probably bite you back if you bit it." That of course might be appealing to the other girl who seemed very instinctual at least to Andrea's limited knowledge.

Bishop added windows to the left side of the house and nodded " It should be a special day then too." Not that Bishop could think of anything after new years that was special. Tiny red nibs broken in half made good sort of curtains for the windows.

" Dolls and stuffed animals" Andrea admittedly softly, as her new family would never replace her old so would new toys not replace her old followers. Still a small part of Andrea longed to posses them and even just in play to lead. " but not sissy ones" The girl clarified, she needed fighters.

"Like our very own special secret holiday just for us?" Kaimi really did think up some cool stuff. using skittles the girl made a multi-coloured stone walkways leading away from the front door. "We can even make special food and stuff too."

Andrea nodded " I had a fierce dog one before some brat stole it."

Up ahead of the girl were about five other kids. The line was moving fairly swiftly too with each kid taking just a few minutes to take a picture tell Santa what they wanted and receive a candycane and a small box of crayons.

Bishop nodded unable to think of a better name at the moment. Pausing for a moment she looked at the gingerbread house in progress and wondered how anyone could possibly eat these things without making a huge mess.

" Penguins are neat even if they walk with a waddle." As Andrea spoke the lined cleared and it was the girl's turn." You wanna go separate or together?" She asked.
