We have lots of Ikea's in the US, though I don't think they sell swedish food in it. You know us fussy Americans.

I hate that place... stressed i find shopping in any store that is not a music/guitar/book/video game store to be hellish. when it's a clothing or home furnishing store, it's at its worst. especially when an important female in my life (gf/mother/etc) drags me along.

Clothing is fine if it's for me and I can pick whatever the hell I like, but otherwise you're right. if i'm shopping for clothes for me, i usually don't go with anyone else. if someone else - especially a female someone else - is with me, it's usually because i was dragged there.

I mainly abhor IKEA because of the yuppie trendiness of the store, and the painfully inflated prices for something that doesn't even come assembled. I think Fight Club covers what I think of IKEA pretty well.
