Freya coughed into her hand as she stared at the conversing "astronauts", whom where chatting amongst themselves instead of boarding the ship. Why I oughta' she scowled while she raised a fist and squinted her eyes, as if her tiny self could take down any of the bigger, and probably stronger, people out there. "Freya..." Dr. Fionn stated as he placed a hand on her shoulder to calm her down. "Let them meet. They'll be stuck on a ship for a year together anyways, so it will be good for them to be friends," he explained calmly. Freya pouted but lowered her fist, deciding to be mature about it. "Well let's go in the lobby to wait for them. Maybe if they see we aren't here anymore, they'll get the idea," she suggested as she turned around and walked on the ramp leading up to Astraea. Dr. Fionn merely nodded and followed after his cousin with a slight hop in his step, his excitement for the take off leaking out through the cracks of his monotonous exterior.

Celeste turned to see whom had spoken. A blonde female who looked only a few years older than her was the source. She smiled at her, then looked back to the Astraea. "It's very beautiful, pleasing to the eye. I'm Celeste, by the way." She noticed Dr.Fionn and Freya making their way up the boarding ramp. "You think we should follow?" She asked, nodding toward the doctor.

The blond nodded once. "Liesel, or just Ly, and yes, it's art, in it's own way" She said softly. As Celeste spoke once more Ly debated the choices privately. After a few seconds pause she replied. "Perhaps we should..." She said, trailing off and than letting herself walk before Celeste responded. She was looking forward to exploring the magnificent craft. Take a gander at some state-of-the-art machinery.

Celeste followed behind Ly, she was excited to see the inside of the craft. If the outside was extremely beautiful, the inside was sure to be nothing short of magnificent.

The piece of paper that she held in her hands wafted gently in the wind, making a fluttering noise. She could still remember what it was that her father had told her that morning... "Go and see Dr. Fionn. He's a friend of mine... He'll take you in." Take her in? Was her father truly trying to get rid of her? Was he too busy, wrapped up in his life as a journalist to even take one moment to just stop all progress and speak to the daughter that he hadn't seen in years? Perhaps what her mother told her was right. There was no use talking to her father... Or rather, attempting to make contact with him. He would just let her down. It wasn't his fault, really, was it? It was his devotion to knowledge... His devotion to his work... His devotion to everything he had left... Right?
The paper she held tightly in her grip hit the side of her fingers. For a moment, she had to stop, pondering if she might get a paper cut. She was stalling, wasn't she? From no good, irresponsible fathers to paper cuts by moving sheets... What would be next? A rock that sat on the ground before her feet? Before this cave? Before this darkness that would engulf her? And why should she be scared of it? Shouldn't she be welcoming this? Shouldn't she be inside that cave, introducing herself to Dr. Fionn... Shouldn't she be? Or, should she turn and run away? Was she ready for this kind of thing? She could sit on earth and allow it to deteriorate beneath her, studying intensively the many books on the cosmos, but she could only get so far, right? Or, she could enter that cave... She could agree to the biggest turning point in history... She could agree to the biggest turning point of her very existence...
Elizabeth took a deep breath and began her descent into the greatest task she would take on. The paper she held between her fingers... The piece of paper that had revealed her destiny... The piece of paper that had made a tiny slice into her right pointer finger... The piece of paper, whose fluttering in the wind had caused Elizabeth a headache, held the signature of the only two men she wanted to gain the respect of... A Dr. Fionn... And a Mr. Jonathan Lockhart.
Once inside the cave, she admired, from afar, at first, the simplicity, yet grandeur of the craft. For a moment, she felt that she would not be able to move from the spot in which she was planted, and it took all her will power to heave her feet, one before the other. She had arrived just in time to hear the orders from a tall man... The description her father gave her told her this man was definitely Dr. Fionn. And the young woman beside him had to be Freya... It was only understandable. She walked briskly past fellow people who were probably there for the journey also. She sighed dreamily and followed after the two Fionns.
Clearing her throat, she spoke, a soft voice, one that probably wouldn't be heard unless one was aware of it. "Uhm, excuse me, Dr. Fionn...?" she began but trailed off, her voice fading at the end. Why was she trying to get his attention? It's not like she really had anything to say, right?

PLEASE CHECK THE WHITE LIST. Freya put one foot in front of the other with a slight pep in her walk, matching her older cousin. Her eyes brightened when she finally entered the space craft, ending up in the first, and most simplistic room on Astraea, the meeting room. The only things that were held in this room were ten gun-metal seats with black cushions that lined the white walls and the opening to the outside. "Dr. Fionn..." she heard, causing interest to spark. She turned around quickly, her gray pig-tails flying behind her, and viewed a woman with hair a lighter silver color than hers. I wonder who this could be, she wondered, realizing that this girl had been late as well. Freya held in her immaturity and stopped her cousin by standing in front of him. It was obvious that he hadn't heard the small voice that called out to him. "Dr. D, turn around," she stated as she held her palms out to stop him gently. "What?" he questioned Freya as he furrowed his eyebrows and followed her instructions. His forehead grew smooth once again when he saw that it was a woman who had beckoned him, a woman who looked strangely familiar too... That's when the light bulb went off in his too-large-for-life brain. He took out a Polaroid from his pocket and smiled when he saw that his assumption was correct. "Miss. Lockhart, how nice to finally meet you. You're father has told me so much about you," he greeted with a kind grin while slipping the picture back into his pocket casually.

Jacob tossed his black bag over his shoulder and brushed his brown hair from in front of his eyes. He glanced around and couldn't help but smile at the seemingly "rag-tag" group of people who had been assembled. And while he was sure the doctor had chosen well (Jacob had been picked afterall), it was still strange looking at people he had never met as men and women of a science. He walked up the ramp and into the ship and its lobby area, his eyes scanning every detail as his inquisitive mind urged him to take in every bit of his habitat for the next year. He felt content that this journey would be the highlight of his life, and quite possibly the turning point for humanity in universal issues. He took a deep breath of the recycled air and looked to the good doctor. "So, where are we gonna lay our heads Doctor Fionn?" he says, finally turning to his host.

Liesel glanced at the woman who passed by her, it seemed she was after the doctor. How peculiar, was she. perhaps, a late comer? After the person disappeared into the ship they were just about to board she heard soft voices from within. Decidedly ignoring the voices, she spoke to Celeste instead. "It appears that this room is full of seats." As she said this, she inspected them, it seemed to be framed with top-quality metal, similar to the craft itself, with very comfortable looking cushions resting atop. No expense was spared on this mighty project, it seemed.

The chairs that Leisel mentioned had caught her eye as well. "They look awfully comfortable..." she noted, walking behind the row of them, trailing her hand along the backs of each chair she passed.

He had been exploring the lab while the doctor spoke. As he found himself to be unsure still of why he had decided to come here to this remote lab, Kyle found himself fascinated nonetheless by everything that was happening so far. Never in his life had he dream that he would be boarding a ship such as this. It was a beauty, that much he would admit but everything else seemed to be a dream all the same.
Am I-- dreaming? he thought bewilderingly to himself and pinched his hands for good measure. When the slight pain registered in his mind, Kyle sighed and raked a hand through his blond locks, his fingers brushing a moment pass his left eyes. A far off and sadden look flashed across his face but as he quickly shook it away, he caught the last of the doctor's word and returned his attention to the ship before him.
Board, the male had said. Taking a breath to steady his nerves, he glanced upward, his single eyes seeing not the ceiling but something else altogether. His wife, his child, they were there in heaven looking down on him and as a sadden smile adorn his lips, he was sure he could hear Alanna's voice bidding him a safe trip.
"I will..." he mumbled aloud and closed his eyes, allowing that momentarily peacefulness to engulf him before forcing himself back into reality. Although thinking for sure that he was making a huge mistake in boarding this ship, he slowly followed behind the others who were already heading inside.
Since he wasn't expecting much at first, Kyle was surely in awe at the sight that greeted him but showing not any of his thoughts, he remain quiet throughout it all as he follow the rest of the crew into the what was no doubt a sort of meeting room. Wondering if he should sit or not, Kyle settled on the former and seated himself into the metal chair, fingers linked and resting upon the table top while violet hues glance at the many other's about him. Uneasy as he was to be among so many people he did not know, he silently watched as they interacted with one another.

Does that make me crazy?Niamh took a step back as the woman advanced upon him, his eyes wide in momentary shock. He hadn't expected such a welcome but then again- he suppose he deserved it by arriving late. Growing rather annoyed by her tone nonetheless, lips parted to make a retort of his own but clamped his mouth shut when the Doctor interfered- much to his dismay. 'Crazy girl,' he thought and heaved a sighed and silently wished he had a cigarette with him. Having nothing to occupy his lips was an annoyance and thus, he settled with popping a piece of sugarless gum into his mouth before bringing his attention to their retreating backs after the doctor greeted him and told the rest to board.
Watching the others enter, Niamh felt a moment of uncertainty but calm himself quickly enough when he saw that he wasn't the only one feeling so. The blond male with the black eye patch seemed quite as nervous as he. Resigning to his fate, Niamh first adjusted his bag straps securely onto his shoulder before quickly following after the rest.
"Amazing," he muttered once he step foot inside the aircraft. Glancing about in awe, he knew immediately that he would not be able to just sit when he would have rather instead explore the rest of the ship. Silently extracting himself from the rest of the group, he edge himself towards a different door from the one they had entered and left, his feet practically bouncing off the ground in excitement as he wandered through the halls of the ship. He was curious as to what he would find. I remember when I lost my mind. There was something so pleasant about that phrase.

So, Dr. Fionn did know of her. She was a bit surprised, to say the least, but when she saw him slip something into his pocket, she put two and two together. After all, when she had visited her father, he had barely recognized her, what with the lack of updated photographs of his daughter, it wasn't a surprise that he couldn't recognize her. And she had noticed that the most recent photograph was missing, a polaroid of her and her mother, taken when she turned twenty and they were back-packing, trying to find inspiration for her mother's next painting. That was the last time she saw her mother, and she almost wanted to ask Dr. Fionn if she could see the photograph for memories sake...
"Jonathan told you about me...?" she asked rhetorically then nodded. "Oh, I see," she said, her eyes focused on his. There was a strangely intelligent look about him as a whole, but at the same time, when she focused only on his eyes, she saw something different. A dreamy sort of state, a kind of yearning, and it caught her by surprise. She shook her head, wiping the thoughts to the back of her mind, to be revisited on a later day. "You've truly built a magnificent craft, Dr. Fionn, Miss Fionn," she said as she peered about the room they had just recently entered. It was simple, yet, in its own, held a sort of modern beauty. She smiled at him and nodded. "And I am honored to have been invited to join your crew," she said, her voice fading off near the end once more. Was she really cut out for this job? In ways, she felt she could help out, but in others, there was her underlying lack of self-esteem. Everyone here, even MIss Fionn, whom Elizabeth knew to be merely sixteen, seemed more worthy to go on the journey than she did, and this caused Elizabeth to suddenly slouch her shoulders a little, her head tilted down to the ground, her eyes following suit, and her hands to bustle nervously together. Such were her mannerisms...
But then again, she hadn't always been that way, had she? There was, indeed, a point in Elizabeth's life when she had thought highly of herself, right? And indeed, she had held herself in fairly high esteem, enough to not let anything get her down, but humble to the point of knowing not to speak of herself in a rude way. But that had all but shattered upon meeting her father... Upon feeling as if she were merely a speck on his windshield of life, a squashed bug that made annoying streak marks when the driver attempted to get it off. And she had merely been tossed off to the side by the man who did not have a care for his daughter... It was rather infuriating, she had to admit, but so was life... And she couldn't change her father, no matter how hard she tried.
Turning her eyes back up to the Fionns, she feigned a smile... It was weak, and clearly not meant to be there... Her eyes were not in it. "Well, I shall get out of your way so that you can get back to work..." she said with a nod of her head. For a moment, she realized she wanted to ask Dr. Fionn of her father, for the man knew so much more than she did. After all, along side photographs of Elizabeth as she was growing up, her father had pictures of himself and the man that stood before her, not to mention many different articles of Dr. Fionn. She knew more about Fionn than she did about her father... A rather sad thought.
Turning her gaze to the girl that stood beside Fionn, she bowed her head in respect. "My apologies for being late... I... wasn't sure if I was in the right place," she said softly. It was true, though... It's not that she didn't know it was the cave that held the craft, but rather, she didn't know if she belonged there... And still, she wasn't sure. "I am Elizabeth Lockhart," she said, extending her hand toward the girl.

Hisashi became a little mad because he was anxious to get into space already, he fidgeted in his spot looking left, then right, then again left knocking on the ship every now and then to maybe aware them it's time to go or something, then it hit him."I'm hungry, do you got any grub ? i could use some nice fish or..." he looked left and right then left again "... CAJUN CHICKEN" he drooled as he went looking for the kitchen before going back "anyone have a clue where i can find some food around here...." after he finished what he was gonna say he looked over at the people who he completley ignored earlier and walked up to them"sorry bout that girls must have been caught up in the moment" he chuckled feeling totally rude

Dr. Fionn smiled when he realized that everything his friend had told him about his daughter was true. He could see the unease and nervousness in her eyes, knowing that she was thinking she wasn't good enough to board his Astraea. I suppose I'll just have to give her a worthy job that so she'll feel apart of this journey, he mused as he nodded his head towards her and then walked off into the middle of the room. He paused for a moment when he noticed to men go wander around the ship, causing his eyebrows to furrow in disappointment. I thought I told them not to... "Freya, do me a favor, go find those two men... the pink and black haired one. And bring Miss. Lockhart with you. Explain to her what our mission is and give her a tour along the way for me, too," Dr. Fionn stated as he looked at his silver haired cousin. "Will do," Freya stated with a smile while she grabbed Elizabeth's wrist lightly and dragged her to the door that led to the left wing of the aircraft. The door shut behind them silently after they walked through, and they found themselves in a small room that contained yet an other door. "My name is Freya by the way, if you haven't already figured out," she greeted with a bright smile as she led them through the door and into a hall way that branched out left and right. "It's nice to meet you." Freya walked forward towards an other door, leaving Elizabeth behind, but stopped at the wall next to the door instead of walking through it. Her small finger delicately pressed on a minuscule button in the center of the wall, causing a transparent screen to pop up on the stainless steel wall. "Voice recognition please," asked a womanly sound from invisible speakers. "Miss. Fionn," Freya stated aloud in a smooth and clear voice. Her simple word caused an even larger screen to pop up in front of her face, adorning countless options that were listed in a light blue against a darker blue background. Again with her tiny finger, Freya pressed a single option that read Tracker. A dozen new screens appeared, all different except for the fact that the entire outline of the ship was in each and every one. Freya only focused on one where there was a big red and orange dot in the lobby area. Just outside of it were two tiny red dots and down the left and right halls were two moving red dots, heading towards what looked like the kitchen and the entertainment centers. "Found them!" Dr. Fionn smiled as he watched his two companions walk out of the door together, hoping that some day the two would become best of friends. He shook himself out of his reverie and turned to view the few people that were seated on his chairs. He heard the question that the black haired man asked and replied, "I will get to that in a second, but first I need to start off with a proper introduction. "Welcome to Astraea and I hope you find it to your tastes," he stated with a grand smile, something foreign and new to his lips. "I have chosen you to join me on this maiden journey because I feel as if you all are worthy enough to ride on my love. You all have the skills needed and have a great interest in the world right outside our atmosphere. Each one of you though, will have a specific job that you will need to carry out during your duration on this ship..."
