Bernadette laughed and pointed at Adele. "Nuh uh! I'll turn you into a toad!" She sounded more bratty than evil, she didn't have much experience with evil...OR bratty but at least she was trying. But wait, what was her motivation? Why was the holding Issy captive? The witchling paused for a moment to think on that.
Oh!
"Once Captain Kitty is out of the way you'll be my slave forever~! Mwuahahahahaha!" She actually started laughing for real after that attempt at an evil cackle. She couldn't take herself seriously!

DundunDUN! Adele tried to look as superheroly as possible as he faced off against the evil old witch. "Your magic will never work on me, foul villaness! My super cape protects me and all things good! And is really useful when I forget my towel after a super bath." Adele had actually managed to say all that with a straight face. Silly kitty.
Ismerauda was finding this utterly ridiculous and hysterical by then. They were acting so serious and failing so miserably at it. Adele was the only person she knew who could be that silly without cracking up realizing it. Which, of course, caused her to break into giggles.

"A super bath?" Bern giggled. That was just silly! But if her 'magic' wouldn't work on Captain Kitty then she'd just have to come up with a plan B.
Issy was laughing too, but Adele seemed to be very focused and very serious. But...he had kitty ears...could he be distracted like a kitty? Bern pondered this for a split second, and decided to just go with it. Her golden eyes widened suddenly and she looked past Adele's head at just anything behind him, gasping and putting her hands over her mouth. "Whoa!" She pointed in the direction she was looking. "Look at that!"
If Adele looked away Bern would grab Issy's hand and quickly lead her away as fast as the two of them could possibly go.

Adele being rather dimwitted and silly, immediately turned to look behind him. "At what?"
Issy giggled a bit more as she followed Bern, whispering to her as they ran, "Hee fools foor zat a loot."

Ha! Victory! Now they just had to find a new place to hide! Bern glanced back at Issy instinctively when she started talking to her, giggling until she got to the last step out of pirate ship and her foot got caught in the hem of her dress. This, of course, sent her flying to the ground...
No, she didn't remember to let go of Issy's hand.

Ismerauda toppled to the ground and immediately started feeling pain in one of her legs. It was now partly caught in the step (due to how she fell), twisted and now stuck under her. Whimpering a lot, the toddler looked around for her big sisters. She hurt and needed help.
Adele heard the sound of them falling and rushed down to check on his friend.s "You two okay?"

Bern groaned and sat up, letting go of Issy and blowing on the heels of her hand. Owwww. But someone was whimpering. She turned her head to see Issy looking ready to cry, frowning and standing up, offering her hands to help stand the girl back up. Oh...or maybe she should get an adult. Oooh she didn't know which to do!
She looked up when Adele hurried to them and asked if they were okay, biting down on her lip and nodding. "I am. I think Issy's hurt."

Adele nodded. "I know what to do." and with his superhero speed (only a bit more actually serious this time), he rushed off to grab Bella.
Shortly after, the purple skinned Belune was carefully picking up her little sister. Issy's leg was sore and twisted a bit funny and it was obvious they'd have to be going home at this point.
"I'm sorry we can't stay and play longer, Bern, but Issy's delicate and gets hurt kinda easy so we need to take her to a doctor to make sure she's okay. Sorry" Adele said quickly to his friend before having to dash off to grab Alice so they could go home. "It was nice meeting you Bern!"

Bern stayed with Issy while her brother ran off to find an adult, frowning and patting her head. "M'sorry." She apologized quietly, referring to having dragged her down when she'd fallen down the last steps. She looked up again when Adele came back with a purple-skinned person, looking even sadder. That meant they'd be leaving, didn't it?
"Okay. Bye bye, Issy! Bye bye, Adele! Get better!" She waved to her friends as they walked away, heading off to where Nice Mommy and Cold Mommy were sitting.
"Did you have fun with your friends, dear?" Arianna asked sweetly, holding out her arms to carry Bern as the little girl happily climbed into them. Claudine smiled softly behind her veil and adjusted all her clothes so every inch of her was covered up. After they were all situated they walked out to head home, Bern humming happily the entire way.
