Shivering Isles is a Daedric plane [sp?], the realm of Sheogorath.
The way things are being hinted at I'd say the next Elder Scrolls is set for Summerset Isle or Skyrim.

Alright, so they've done Vardenfell in Morrowing and Cyrodiil, with expansions in Mournhold, (Solstheim, was it? I never played it), The Shivering Isles (practically a whole new game itself), and an expansion concerning Aleids, but I don't feel like I know all that much about them (the Aleids). I'm pretty certain I'm even spelling it wrong. Aeleids? No. Anyway, I've thought a good deal about where the fifth could take place. Black Marsh? Probably not. It's a great place to put an expansion (I'll be genuinely disappointed if they don't), but maybe not a great place for a whole game. Valenwood? Probably not. High Rock or the Sumerset/Summerset Isles? We can't have a whole game in a mage-dominated area.
The thing about Morrowind and Cyrodiil is that there is diversity in both areas. Skyrim could work, easily. They just need to make sure there's still diversity, and they will. I did hear that they copyrighted the term Skyrim, so it's a safe bet. Then they can bring back werewolves, and have vampires like in Cyrodiil as well as vampires that live under the ice (there was a book I read that mentioned vampires of such a kind). It's an awesome place. I just don't know how they're going to top the last game's story.
Morrowind: blight, dude in a mountain going to wage war on everyone, ancient dwemer god (come to think of it, we should have an expansion that sends the player to wherever the dwemer ended up and you can rescue them and get them back to Tamriel, where, in a Warp in the West style event, they get an island to themselves or something), Nerevar reborn.
Oblivion: emperor assassinated, princes assassinated, need to restore Martin to the throne, or else the daedric invasion will level Tamriel. INTENSE.
V: who knows?
I also want to see a good and evil option for certain aspects of the game, like choosing the Mages Guild or a cult of necromancers, or the Legion or a gang of thieves, you know, having a good and evil version of every faction, and a story that allows you to be good or evil while accomplishing, in the end, the same thing.
Sorry about the huge post. This thread covers a lot of topics.

Elder Scrolls V: How the Nords Took Back the Motherland
It's a classic tale of a boy and his dog that take over the world amidst the chaos of the world being saved. The twist is that the dog is the boy and the boy is a muffin that's been turned into a boy by the sorcerer from Gothic.

I hope they make Elder Scrolls V like All of tamriel not just a specific province. And Say you pick Imperial you start out in Cyrodil,Nord you start out in Skyrim etc. That would be a $60 game I would buy.

From all the things I've heard on other sites it's gonna be held in skyrim but I did hear a rumor that said it was gonna be held in the days of the ayeleid where your released from an ayeleid prison by a imperial rebelion and you become involved in the assult of white-gold tower.but that seems higly unlikely.
As for the people who are proposing it's gonna be held in blackmarshe before morrowind there was going to be a game in the elder scrolls called eye of argonia but for some reason they dumped it and moved on to morrowind.

As I probably mentioned, The Black Marsh would be an excellent place for an expansion like The Shivering Isles, only maybe bigger. Quote: I hope they make Elder Scrolls V like All of tamriel not just a specific province. And Say you pick Imperial you start out in Cyrodil,Nord you start out in Skyrim etc. That would be a $60 game I would buy. That sounds great, but how could they make a world so big and fill it with quests and still have a central story? It would take forever. Any province with racial diversity would be fine for a whole game, and any other province would be good for an expansion.

Hey what if they made it into a war game like medal of honor only with swords and bows, like nikkirock said, the imperial rebelion release you from prison. But your first quest will be to help fend off an ayeleid attack, as for the character deveolpment, after the fight, they do that thing like when Baurus says, "You look like a...." and then you chosse your class. And after that you get to go all over the world to help fight the ayeleids. What would be cool is if you could travel with a garrison of troops as you move from quest battle to quest battle, and to have dozens of imperiel soliders fighting dozens of enemy soliders, and you just jump in. Another idea that I just had was that you join the Imperial rebelion, and rise in rank, all the way to a commander and you get your own army that you can command, which you can move them around in a stratgey game style, then when you encounter enemies you can go back to your character and lead your men into battle. Imagen hundreds of soliders fighting, anywhere in the world.

I say it should take place in the Summerset Ilses, and it would be good if they create some new mechanics and reintroduce or redo some old ones, for instance: bringing back werewolves, creating more spells, making a more effective spellmaking system, making a more effective character creation/customization system, giving you an option of becoming a lich, and improving vampirism (give better skill bonuses and giving you unique powers and skills).
