Yugi recognized the voice instantly of course, freezing and turning to his closest friend. Jounouchi? Jounouchi was here....?
Why? What had happened to him?
Yugi glanced at his tray, but... he couldn't ignore him.
Part of him wanted to be alone..... but..... he couldn't turn his back on Jounouchi..... Yugi turned, heading towards the blond as fast as his small legs allowed and settling on the table with the best smile he could muster..... he realy didn't want to know how that smile had really come out.
Well, talk about an awkward spot for conversation. 'Fancy seeig you here?' That would end well. So Yugi kept it brief, large eyes staring at his tray and unable to meet his friends'. "Jounouchi...."

(A fairly f***ed up one)
Seto looked up, seeing the others all filing in. Odd how the group never fell apart, they ended up together somehow. No one sucessful yet.
He saw Malik and his eyes blazed, if he hated anyone, it was him, he took careful aim with his spoon, he wasn't using it, and dive bombed it right into Malik's head.

Jounouchi poked at his food obliviously. Although he had never been at a loss for words in his life, it occured to him that even if he tried to bring up anything about this... this place and Yugi's connnections, it wouldn't turn out very pretty. And so instead, he just poked fun at the food.
"So, this sure is some bad food, huh?"

Otogi watched the clump of mashed something (he wasn't sure they were really potatoes, they sure didn't taste like some) arc across the air towards the Egyptian blonde, sipping on his boxed juice complacently.
At least THAT the cafeteria couldn't screw up. Why didn't they just let him order food, anyway? It's not as though he'd try to kill himself with pizza (not that he'd try to kill himself at all, anyway).
He shook his head in distain, turning his head away. He was better than a petty food fight, anyway.
|| We need a Honda and an Anzu. The group is not the group without Yugi, Jou, Honda, Anzu, Ryou and Seto. Ryuuji isn't till the 3rd season, but those were there from the 1st. Why does no one like Honda?! crying ||

Yugi stared down at his tray, biting his lip, before trying to smile again, though he didn't look up. "I never thought I'd hear that from you," he said.
As if moods could be lightened at a suicide ward..... he stared back down. Why.... why was it so wrong? Why did the world want him to suffer so much, they wouldn't even allow him to die, caging him instead.
He stared quietly. He hadn't touched his food- just mashed it all together.
His eyes glazed, and he went silent and still, before stirring the brownish mush his 'food' had become again, then taking a mouthful and stuffing it in with a wince.
He managed to swallow, before looking up to Jounouchi.
'He shouldn't be here.... he should be happy.... living....'

Malik saw the spoon coming too late to react--it hit him with a loud 'thunk' in the forehead. He cursed loudly and a few people stopped eating to stare at him. One, a particularly creepy girl with large, bug like eyes, gave him a grin that seemed sweet, scary, and much too big for her face all at the same time. He grimaced at her and glanced around for the spoon-throwing fiend who was most clearly off their rocker.
His eyes fell on Seto Kaiba and he narrowed his eyes to slits, moving to sit /elsewhere/. He wouldn't stoop to that level. Over at one side, he could see Yuugi and Jounouchi--how wierd, seeing them both together here. There was Otogi, and that was Ryou...perhaps he'd sit with Ryou. Afterall, the other was probably his safest bet, asides from Yuugi. He moved near where Ryou was, hoping not to disturb the other boy. "...Ryou-kun?"

((If ya'll don't mind, I think I'm going to have Shizuka join the ward later, because by the way things are going it seems like Jounouchi just joined, and Shizuka is supposed to join quite a while after Jounouchi.))
Shizuka approached the ward. She sighed. 'Onii Chan... why?' She held a basket in her left hand as she put her right fist on her chest in dispair. Entering the building, she approached the reception desk and talked to the secretary, "Um... I'm Kawai Shizuka, Jounouchi Katsuya's little sister.... I'm here to visit and bring him some onigiri... if that's okay..." The secretary looked at her sternly, "It's fine for you to visit right now because it's lunch hour, but I'm afraid our patients are only allowed to eat the food here. I'd be happy to take your, what I hope to be homemade, onigiri though." he finished, winking at her. Shizuka worldlessly handed him the basket. A nurse approached and offered to escort Shizuka into the cafeteria. Stepping into the room, she immediatly saw a head full of blonde hair sitting at a table with Yuugi, "Onii Chan!" she ran to him.

Ryou jumped slightly, as he was in his own little world when Malik sat down. He looked up and smiled softly. "Malik, how are you?...although I think I know the answer to that." He laughed a bit nervously as he fidget it the bandages again. Ryou didn't know what to really say to the other boy, what did one talk about while staying in a place like this? "Never thought we would all end up here...of all the places."

He couldn't help it if he was overly spastic.

Pegasus rubbed his sore left arm as he followed the orderly who was showing him around his new 'home'. Most of the things he was being shown, like the shower room and the courtyard were obviouls even without the large signs in blue and white declairing their purpose.
As they walked twards his room, Pegasus looked at the paitent names posted on the doors. Several such as 'Muto, Y' and 'Kaiba, S' jumped out at him while other such as "Jounouchi, K" and "Ishtar, M" seemed vagly familliar. Pegasus scowled in concentration trying to remember why those names seemed familliar when the orderly (whose name Pegasus couldn't remember for the life of him) called out his name and said that they were here.
With a look of distaste, Pegasus looked at the bare, sterile room that they expected him to stay in. But as long as he was viewed as a threat to himself and Tenma did nothing about it, here was where Pegasus would have to stay. With a resigned sigh, Pegasus tossed his coat on to the bed and asked the orderly to show him to the cafeteria so that he could meet his fellow paitents....

((Oh, gosh! Pegasus joining a suicide ward! XD By the way, what do you guys think about making the attempted suicides caused by some kind of outside force, instead of just one big coincidence? I thought it might be interesting, especially in YUU*GI*OU. *shrugs*))
