Flik thought to himself that he will never understand humans. Some of their actions were just to strange. He shook his head and directed his eyes in front of himself to watch where he is going.
'' I wonder how many gods do they have. ''
This he said more to himself than he was actually asking a real question. He looked at Abel from a corner of his eye and smiled.
'' So you were traveling with priests. Did you too pray to their god? ''

Abel stopped momentarily to give himself a quick shake, his vestiment giving a soft rattle as the metal parts on it collided together. After doing this, he resumed walking with the other stallion.
The question about humans having multiple gods had got him to think. Were there more than one? He thought and began to start to bring his journies in his old land back into his recollection. After a few more moments, he had to shake his head some. "I think the area we traveled in believed in only one, but I think other regions might have more than that. I cannot say for sure, humans are odd creatures."
He looked ahead of them, keeping wary track of their surroundings. When he was questioned if he prayed to the human gods, he chuckled just slightly. "That would be an honest assumption, but no, I did not."

Ok so from what Flik had heard right now it seemed to him there were a lot of gods in existence. So there were humans that believed in one god and then there were those that believed in multiple gods. What was puzzling him now was did different villages believe in different gods or some of them believed in same gods or... this made him feel dizzy so he shook his head trying to get rid of these troubling thoughts.
'' You know... right now it seems like there are damn lot of gods. I wonder if they ever get jealous of one another. ''

Seeing the other stallion shake his head, he stopped. He tilted his head, curious if he was alright. Just as he was about to ask this question, he received one from the other. Did the multiple gods get jealous of each other? Now that was a thought. It had been so long, he didn't remember everything. He knew the priests he traveled with worshipped one god, but encompassed many to help those who they were helping.
"Well... I can't say the same for all the gods, but if I remember correctly, the priests that I traveled with... the god they worshipped was supposedly a jealous god and did not like his believers to worship other gods." He answered the best he could.

Flik stopped at the same time as Abel. It wouldn't be good to leave his new companion behind after all. He was surprised that a jealous god did exist but than maybe two leggers inherited this feeling from him. Perhaps gods weren't that much different from mortals.
'' Really? Well I hope he isn't vengeful as well. ''

When Flik mentioned being vengeful, Abel had to sigh some. Though he tried to be understanding of mortals, he couldn't understand everything. With a shrug, he continued onward again. "It is hard for me to say. During my time of traveling with the priests, I saw no mighty sign of wrath or even joy from this god of theirs, but they would still say they were either being blessed or tested." He explained, but as he walked, he came to a thought, "perhaps since this god was a mortal god, maybe only mortals could see his doings."

Flik walked in silence digesting everything. He just couldn't understand two-legers and this made him glad he wasn't one of them. But than again if he was one of them he would probably understand reasons for doing so many strange things they do.
'' They must find many things we do strange as well. ''

He chuckled. "Oh, I wouldn't call them strange. Interesting perhaps, but not strange." The stallion defended the humans softly. Two-legger, that was so demeaning to them. Just because they only had two legs, did not mean they were any less than him, so he has yet to call them by the 'title'. At the comment about humans thinking the habits fellow soquili might do strange also made him contemplate that. "You know, I have never thought of that... perhaps they do. One will never know until they learn how to speak to humans to ask them."

No matter how Flik thought about it human language seemed quite complicated and learning it could be very difficult. The more he thought about it made him wonder if they would be able to pronounce the words.
'' Seems like mission impossible. ''
Still he couldn't help but wonder what advantages that would have. There still would be things hard to understand but at least they could know why something is the way it is.

At Flik's comment, the winged stallion had to chuckle. "Yes, it does sound like the impossible, but I am certain that, over a period of time, we soquili will come to learn human language." He said, musing over the image with a flick of his tail. He then added, "it may not be in our lifetime, or even the next, but it is bound to happen eventually." He said this proudly, not caring if he looked like one of those manic 'prophets' he had seen while traveling with the humans or not even realizing he may have done so. It was just a hopeful thought that he would love to see come true.
