okokok....to whoever goes into this forum, DONT BUY THAT GAME!!!!

It's probably the worst game I've ever played(next to Dark Cloud 2, but at least THAT had some depth to it). You're basically waving the remote around to a crap rendinition of yankee doodle and a mario song. There's no challenge to it either. Cause you can NEVER MESS UP. I guess this game would be really good if it was for a toddler or a mentally retarded child, but COME ON! You guys in this guild are REAL musicians! It's so much better to play your REAL instrument in a REAL group and make some REAL music. Seriously. Please don't buy this game.

(btw...game informer did a review on it, gave it a 3. I think that's the lowest rating I've ever seen a game get in that magazine)

I find it sorta rude, because they make the hopeless musicians think they're so great, being able to play a violin in the frickin' TV. Then again, that's why it's sorta good, to get those hopeless losers into the music world.

do not invest.
buy a Real instument product instead.

Honestly, I think it sucks. I love band, and I love music, and I love music games, but... this. No. Never.

All you do is waggle the Wii Remote around. You hardly even play. There's no real way of playing.

Okay, let me clear up a few things for all of you, having owned the game myself.

1) It = Epicness.
2) Yes, you do press the buttons, move the remotes in fashion and play along in time to the music, plus it also allows you amazing freedom to do whatever you like.
3) There are several "styles" of playing, that is, Piano, Guitar, Trumpet, Violin and Percussion. Each of these have several different instruments within it (except violin... it only has violin so far for me. -_-" Double Bass falls under guitar controls.)
4) The game progresses, you unlock different styles and the like, and many other things.
5) It has minigames you can play with your friends.

It is a really well done game, though sometimes the timing of it is annoying in Lessons, but still, fun indeed. I seriously recommend it.

I may be getting it for Christmas. There's a video demo list that shows how each instrument is played. Some are really stupid, like congas. You would never play them like that, and they don't have a cymbal on them. Snare drum (referred to as a "marching drum" on the page) is being played all wrong. Once again, it has that annoying cymbal on there. I wonder if, when I go to use proper lifting techniques, the game will read them right. Cowbell is...weird. I have no clue what that chick is doing and why the vibraslap sound (the sound used in the bob it game) is made when you move the wiimote in a certain way. Why? Because that instrument would require putting down the drum stick you're playing cowbell with in order to play it. And if you play piano, don't even look at that video. It's horrible.

All and all, it's only small things (except piano). Marimba doesn't look bad though. And I can't wait to try this game out. I may give a full review when my computer is being more friendly.
