Covet, Tsura thought, was going to be much more pleasant to converse with than her friend; assuming Mekah cared to talk to anyone at all. It seemed unlikely he'd be having fun when surrounded by many others since he disliked crowds. Still, since Tsura believed in invitation was for everyone perhaps she could talk to Covet tonight when they reached the caravan. It might be easier to talk to a fellow outsider than try and break into an already settled unit right away.

Turning to face the one person on the ground who's name she hadn't quit caught Tsura's once gained brushed her bangs out of her hazel eyes and smiled ." I do believe you have an invitation too good to pass up."Really even if it was just for a short time it would be nice to be with people again to feel connected to something.

The yet unnamed bird had barely a chance to settle down onto it's brand new perch before it was overtaken by the Meij winds. It listened for a second, walked a short circle, and then spoke.

For dark times...
There's nothing like light.
And light brings music,
music brings joy,
and joy brings healing.

Mekah listened to Covet and the invitations to join the caravan. He had hoped, yes, hoped for a nice peaceful life on the road. Moving from town to town, obtaining interesting new artifacts. Then he had run into Covet. he knew it was too much to ask that she would not wish to join them. Covet fed off company and laughter. This would be a dream to her.

Lost in his thoughts he did not notice the bird that landed close by. It was nothing more than a flapping in the background, until it spoke. He could sense the magic that flowed through it and knew at once it was not some rambling parrot.
"Is it either of yours?" he asked, looking to both Tsura and Thuban.

Covet's eyes lit up as Thuban said that the caravan was only a short distance away. She couldn't believe their good luck, to have found such a people out on the remote road Mekah had chosen to take them down. As the invitation was made to join him and his sister on the rest of their journey, she grinned and nodded in agreement with Tsura, then turned pleading eyes up to Mekah.
"It would only be for a little while. Please Pyar," she smiled softly, using her recently developed pet name for him as she reached out to rest a light hand on his arm. As the new voice rang out, Covet blinked and followed Mekah's eyes to the beautiful bird that had settled near their caravan. Breathing in deeply as she too felt the magic that swept through their small meeting, she turned her eyes up to Mekah with curiosity burning in them, then quickly looked to their companions to hear what they had to say.

"It's not mine, brother. Lochan's my only." Altaira called, when Thuban turned to look at her at the arrival of the banya. He'd yet to really bother meeting Lochan, Altaira's banyan, for the half-breed was a grumpy bird and had sulked into the shadows of his home whenever he tried to see him. This bird was too blue and it's words too nice to be Lochan anyway, so he turned back to the others.

"The bird isn't one of yours then? It's a lovely creature and they're very useful companions, being able to catch kernals of magic on the wind and translate them into fortunes." Supposedly.

" Not mine either" Tsura confirmed." A good omen though for sure, a Banya showing up at an small meeting like this."

The bird gave them all a 'look' and settled on a perch on Covet and Mekah's caravan. it did not look as though it was about to move any time soon.

Mekah watched it and turned his eyes back to Thuban. Magic, fortunes. Now this was interesting. It was no longer a possible annoyance but a creature with a use and one that would be worth researching. He wondered if there was anything else they could do too.

"So, it looks like it is ours then? Or wants to be?" He smirked and watched it settle in to roost.

Covet's eyes flickered between Altaira and Thuban at their explanation and then lit up as Mekah spoke. Absoutely brilliant! A new pet, she thought turning a brilliant smile to Tsura and then back to Thuban.
"So you and your sister are familiar with these birds?" she asked, knowing full well that if they were, the Mekah certainly would have no problems going with them to their caravan. Glancing to Tsura a bright smile slipped across her face and she looked back up to Mekah. "Thuban, Altaira, Mekah and I would like very much to join you this evening when you meet up with your people. Tsura, would it be too bold of me to ask if I might ride with you for a while since you will be joining us as well?" she smiled, looking to the woman once more. It would be nice to have a companion to chatter to who wouldn't give her dark looks for "talking too much".
