Well.. C1 isnt attached to the skull.. it has two smooth processes in which the skull rests. It also has a hole in the base of it for the odontoid process of C2. The process allows for the rest of the vertebrae to turn side to side.
Hehe.. I'll shut up now.
And yes, I will gp back.. just not now. lol. Im eating.

Is fear really the best inspiration? I find it makes all intelligent thought immediately abandon me!
C1 and C2...I think that's the most intense biology lesson I've had since leaving secondary school (dropped everything science-y at A Level - heh heh).
Oh yeah, the book... smile Chapter three is definately my favorite so far - the script worked so well, and despite you introducing a number of characters very quickly, it didn't feel forced. I think I spotted a few little mistakes...but really can't remember now. *sigh* I swear university has destroyed my excess brain power!

Well, I'm not sure - fear is perhaps not the best motivator (although the knowledge that there are people enjoying this enough to be bullying me into writing more might be razz ) however, I have been hit by the nastiest flu bug I've had in living memory - that is my living memory. I now realize why this thing kills old people - I tire myself out trying to make it up the stairs.
My sister and mother have had this thing for about a week and a bit, but I though I'd managed to dodge its deadly grasp. No such luck - Muscle pains, headache, sore throat, fever, chills, really, really weird, chaotic dreams - the works. So! considering that I'll be bedridden for much of the next week, if my sister's example is any indication, I'll have lots of time for writing - we'll just have to wait and see if my creativity is still functioning.
Just thought I'd give you all a little update - thanks for all the comments (and I'm very glad you liked ch3 so much Char - I'll be looking at doing a script of some kind for a later chapter for sure.) Hopefully Part IV will be going up sometime in the very near future.
