"Yes, I would be the head geisha here. My name is Serena,"Serena smiled politely at the girl.

She smiled politely and bowed again, feeling slightly more brave as she gathered her wits about her.
"Ah! I am so very pleased to meet you at last Serena-sama. My name is Shiori, Anzuno Shiori. My aunt has brought me here because it has been decided that this is the okiya in which I should begin my training."
She slowly stood a little more, keeping her eyes lowered bashfully on the shining wooden floor. They were so clean she could see the reflection of all who gathered in that room. It all seemed so very different, so much more elegant and tasteful than she was used to.

"Well I hope you like it here. Head Mother made it a nice blend of Japanese and Americqan cultures, since I am American,"Serena smiled.

"Oh, hai, I am sure that I will love it here, Serena-sama. It is an honor to be here at all. Thank you very much for your kindness."
She made another small bow. "I am glad to hear that it is a place of culture. I have not heard much of the country, America? But I have heard that it is a very wide land filled with many different and interesting peoples."
She clasped her fingers somewhat nervously together. "Ahh, Serena-sama, I was wondering, since I begin first as a maid, what should my first duties be? Shall I ready myself to go to the Tea House to aid those who are in need of it?"

Serena thinks for a minute. "Why don't you go take care of your things and then I will take you to the teahouse,"Serena smiled.

Again she bowed, this time more swiftly. "That sounds delightful, thank you very much. I will be only a moment, Serena-sama."
She had only brought a few personal belongings along with her, which were contained in a pack she had laid next to her shoes. The rest of her things, most of which were financed by her aunt, would be sent to the okiya by the evening probably. It was a very good thing indeed that she had made herself clean and presentable beforehand, for she had not really expected to see the teahouse this soon.
Her aunt, who had visited this okiya some few times, had told her somewhat of the layout and build of the place, and so she had a general idea of where the maids' quarters were. She found the room, dropped off her things in a corner, adjusted her obi in the mirror across the room, and flitted on swift feet back to the head geisha. She felt exceedingly nervous.

Tora stood in the background, listening to their converstion. She cleared her throat, "Konnichiwa," she said with a sweet smile to the new addition of the Okiya. "Serena-sama, shall I ocomapny you to the tea house as well?" She asked.

"Yes, Tora, you should accompany us to the teahouse,"Serena agreed with a smile. She went out the front door, motioning to the two girls to follow her. ((We will continue in the teahouse RP thread))

((Opps, Ang says that maids should not go to the teahouse and all your posts are the ones in here. So Shiro, we need you to do chores around here, then I'll take her to the teahouse when she makes maiko))

A soft sigh escapes from a delicate mouth as deep violet eyes look with much weariness at the traditional building before them. Liquid silver strands that have captured the moonlight of a thousand nights is caught by a playful wind. "Yes," she said to herself. "This must be the place in which I belong." ((You must forgive my avie for not being in her kimono. Avatar saving is down. T-T)) She folds the soft crimson silk to one side as she pushes the gate open to go inside.

The door slides back to reveal an ornate entry room. She smiles softly and laughs. She walks over to a bench on the side to sit down to remove her traveling shoes. ((For the life of me I can not remember the proper Japanese name for them.)) She places them off to the side out of the way and unties the small bundle from around her chest. As she brings the bundle about to craddle in her right arm, a deep red book falls out on the floor. Her eyes widen for a moment as she stares at it them become filled with a deep grief as she reaches for it. She kneels and begins to unfold her pack.

Her small fingers play over the faded leather of the book as she cannot resist temptation and opens the aged tome. A man's heavy script touches her sight as she skims through several entries of a story her father had once woven for her. Even after all of this time it still hurt too much to think about his death. She closes her eyes and unfolds the rest of her small pack to reveal several more thin books with writing implements. ((If you haven't guessed by now, I love to write 4laugh ))

As the young made started to put her pack back together, Yome looks up to she who had spoken to her. She quickly ties up her small bag and turns to face who had spoken. She kneels on the ground placing the pack to her left. She places her hands before her on the ground and goes into a deep formal bow. "I am very honored to meet you. I am Kitsune Yome. I have recently been assigned to these dwellings." She keeps her head down awaiting for the head geisha to speak.
