If it wasn't for all of those virus warnings n' stuff that keep nagging at the back of my head. Dx
I already got virusses from this site more than once, at that from just clicking the PM inbox thingy up there next to the Shortcuts menu. o x o ;
Well... That, and I've managed to waste hours and days on "nothingness". Again. > w > ;;
Anyway, I'll hopefully be able to be more active now! @ u @ ;;

And yup, it's been like that for a long time, I believe.
Virusses, key-loggers and other stuff from the site. Placed there by hackers and scammers and what-not.
It's mainly from weird links n' stuff though, I think.
I found several forum threads about it these past weeks.
It's mainly from Towns, anything based on the same system as Towns (Hollywood, e.g.) and the games.
Worst part is that Gaia doesn't seem to give much about it, as far as I could see in the forums. . _ . ;
I got 3 Troyan horses from the site so far (from the said Inbox link up there), luckily I have a so-so anti-virus system...
But seriously. x _ x

@Aidoru: Ouch that sucks, I should watch the computers more closely again. I had no idea O.o Gaia has been neglecting a lot of stuff lately I've noticed actually. I think they're more worried about money anymore.

We're pretty much "playing by their rules", I guess. . v . It's still annoying to get 3 virusses just like that though...

So there isn't much left we can do as users anymore, really.
But we can hope someone'll eventually do something about it, ne. 8B;
Keeping a good eye on your computer when on Gaia, or other sites for that matter, sounds like a good idea though. -nod-
It's also the reason I mainly go on Gaia while at school only...
Then my own laptop won't be at risk as much.

Lol!! Of course, one should always hope the school's computers die before one's own. xd As terrible as it is...I have to agree... sweatdrop
The problem though with people pointing these things out, a lot of 'loyal gaians' tend to get ticked off and immediately defend the site. I basically stated once to someone that all gaia cares about anymore is money and they got all huffy with me because "gaia wouldn't do that."
Heck there was a really nasty song on that temporary DDR like game they had on the site. I complained as did many older gaians. However, all the younger aged gaians got all ticked off, acting as though songs describing sex is PG or PG13. That song made my ears bleed >.>" It was also very degrading to women! But the "loyal" idiots will jump off a cliff for gaia.
