During the awkward silence, Koji continued to examine the girl's ears and interesting pale-blue hair color. Having nothing useful to say, he stood again. "Well, if you need me...I guess I'll be near the fireplace." He was still wondering why she had opened up so much to him, a stranger...he figured she was just lonely.

There was nothing else for her to say before he left the room. What went through his mind goes through her mind as well.

- What was I thinking talking his ear off like that? Have I lost all sense of dignity and honor? -

She sighs and says to herself, "Whatever, girl. You need to seriously learn how to control yourself. Now, eat your breakfast so that you can get to work. Aunt Reyen would be upset if she found out that I slacked off...."

Minutes later, the female leaves the kitchen (having eaten and cleaned up after herself). Her handkerchief is tightened again, signalling to herself that she is ready for work. First stop, cleaning the main entryway.

-That's where he is,- she had thought to herself earlier, -Well, buck up and do your work!-

So she now enters the room so that she can clean up the room. Stepping behind the check-in counter, she picks up a cleaning rag, a spray bottle, and a duster. She then starts going around the room, cleaning with one of the three items in her possession.

Still silent, Koji observed the fox-girl cleaning. She seemed to genuinely enjoy her work. Koji made a small smile, glad that she had something to keep herself interesting and occupied. Feeling slightly creepy, as if he were stalking this poor girl, Koji continued to watch her. He finally noticed that she was quite cute, and the little tail just enhanced it, but he decided not to be outspoken on that matter.

Her ears twitches, nervous that he is near, but she says nothing. After finishing cleaning the entryway, she leaves the three items back under the counter.

-A drink of water and then on to start the laundry- she thinks, leaving the room again and re-entering the kitchen.

Moving over to the cabinet closest to the sink, she finds her favorite cup {a medium sized blue plastic cup with a rainbow on it} and fills it up with water from the sink. Standing at the sink as she drinks the water, she opens the window (knowing that no other being is in the room). A few snowflakes float in to fall on her face as she drinks her water. There is just something about snow that can make her feel better, perhaps because she is a nature-lover or because she is a snow-fox anthro human. Either way, she stands there, drinking her water and enjoying the winter breeze, for a few minutes without being able notice anything around her.

The dry heat of the fire was starting to get uncomfortable to Koji, but he couldn't go outside, either. After standing still awkwardly and thinking of what to do, Koji's stomach growled. He realized he still hadn't had anything to eat, only something to drink. He stopped in front of the door to the kitchen, knowing the anthro-girl was in there, but pressed on anyway and grabbed a pan hanging from a wall without saying anything.

The female stands firm by the window, her cup seated in the sink and her eyes closed. She does not move aside the breathing of her lungs. Even her tail and ears stand still as she 'listens' to the snow outside the window, practically freezing out the kitchen.

Slowly lowering the pan onto the nearby stove, Koji still watched the fox-girl. She seemed to be at peace, as if the open air was calming her. He didn't want to disturb her, and tried to make it to the fridge without making any noise. As he turned, he tripped over his own foot, grabbing the pan and sending it clattering along to the floor with him.

Triska shuts the window in a quick yet graceful manner and turns around to him. She smiles softly and extends a hand to him.

"Want help getting up?" she asks in a voice that's as soft as her eyes, "I'm sorry if my hands are cold but I can help you..."

Silently cursing himself, Koji quickly rose to his feet.
"No, I'm fine. I just slipped." His sentences were short and curt, attempting to conceal his own anger with himself. "I'm sorry to have disturbed you."

The girl covers her mouth as she tries not to laugh.

Once she regains control of herself, she says kindly, "That's alright. ...sorry but I have to go start the laundry. Do search for me if you have any questions."

She nods and goes to start the laundry that the other guests have dropped off for her, her tail flowing along behind her.

Koji had to stop himself from banging his head against the wall. He had no idea why he was so concerned about how he looked around the girl, but he grumbled and started rummaging through the refrigerator anyway.

The girl walks towards the laundry room, not too far away from the kitchen but out of the way so that the guests don't have to deal with it. It is, actually, right next to the door leading to her aunt's and her living quarters. She smiles as she enters the laundry room.

"He's an interesting fellow. Very strange but interesting," she mutters to herself as she finds the bags of clothing in a pile under the chute.

- Four bags from Mr. Everest, a single bag from Mrs. Sennel, and two bags from the Garret family, - she notes, glad that they could drop their bags down the chute without having to go fetch them. Of course, there is no way for her to get the clean clothes to them without her cart.

She shrugs and, after pulling gloves on to her hands/arms, starts sorting Mr. Everest's laundry so that she can put it in the first washing machine.

-I'm so glad that we have four laundry machines. It'd be so tedious if there was only one...-

In frustration, Koji pulled two eggs out of the fridge, slammed the door shut, and practically threw the pan onto the stove. Luckily, nothing was damaged, but when he went to crack the egg of the counter, he used too much force and it ended up splattering on his shirt.
"...great. That's what I get for being mad." He let out a heavy sigh.

Mr. Everest's clothes half way sorted, the girl continues to work though her mind wanders.

- Never. I'm an anthro and therefore, though one may find me attractive, others cannot accept me in the society outside of this place.- she thinks before shaking her head, -But if the opportunity arises, will I squash it? No... Baka. Just be yourself and do your work.-

Koji was fully aware that giving the egged shirt to Triska now, while she was getting ready to do the laundry, would by far be the best course of action. But, he didn't want to make himself look like an uncoordinated dork again in front of her. He thought while he cleaned up the egg, and returned the pan to its resting place. With slow, deliberate steps, he entered what he guesses was the laundry room, and to his horror he was half-way through the threshold when he realized he didn't have a replacement shirt to put on after taking off the messy one. His foot was through the doorway and he froze, doing what he had tried to avoid: looking like a dork.
