A big yay for the Grippy!:
I didn't really feel like exercising today. This probably has to do with how cold the weather is- it's almost freezing weather in Charlotte recently!
but i did go. I went on the stairstepper for 20 min, and noticed that I could move to a higher intensity than I did last week. and I also did some abs exercises. I had to leave early though because my ride arrived earlier than I expected.
But yes, I certaintly did exercise. It's an excellent feeling after you do it- not only because of the mental processes involved, but your own body feels good. You feel more alive and active... ready to take on the world.

My yay- only ate when absolutely necessary today- breakfast, dinner, and a snack (small slice of fruit cake) to keep the sugar fiend within me happy. ^_^
Must continue it! Tomorrow I have karate, which I'm very much looking forward to... I miss karate. Haven't done it in a few years, now. crying

Again had a good day- reasonable breakfast, no lunch, and a light meal, along with two of my snickerdoodles (which have lasted very well) to keep the sugar fiend within me happy. ^_^ And an hour of karate. Karate= FUN. xd

I made sure I didn't eat an hour before exercise. And I bumped up my stair stepper routine from 20 min - to 25 minutes. As well as bumped up the difficulty level a notch. Seems like my legs have gotten more stronger since last week so I could tolerate the higher levels.
I am also starting to record the sugar and sodium content of my food.
but the most important thing: my attitude is staying positive.

Had an okay day, today. I's kinda hard to feel good about yourself when you're aching all over, though (curtosey of karate). ^^;

I've noticed I've already improved on my stairstepper! the first week, i was lucky to be on the preliminary level. Now I've stepped on to level 2... and even 3! my legs and heart have gotten more stronger and efficient. Keep in mind I'm also using the tredmill, and the weight machines etc too.
I still need to record my progress though. I've been lazy and distracted to do that. the important thing about recording your progress, I've found, is two things.
- knowing how far you went the last workout session can challenge you to push yourself further.
- also, you'll know exactly how you've progressed for a certain amount of time, so if there's any reason you feel like you haven't improved, that chart will give you data evidence that you did. smile

congrats grippy, keep up that challenging. its really amazing how fast your body will adapt to your workout. i couldn't finish my bench reps my last time, but now i can. im sure i'll be adding more weight soon. i worked out for an hour of cardio (elliptical/recumbent) and then arms. tomorrow is cardio and legs.
my attitude is doing pretty well considering the things that have been happening to me lately. im excited to measure on monday.

I forgot how physically as well as mentally trying school can be... our school's pretty large, and has many stairs. >_< I'm always running about a lot because I do so many different things, one thing after another and sometimes even clashing. ^^; Today I ran twice around the school, up and down the stairs because I misplaced my bag (currently found, now. sweatdrop ) But instead of nearly dying, I wasn't that much out of breath! I do wish my face'd stop going bright maroon, though. stressed My face always goes a very odd shade of red-maroon as soon as I start running about, even when I'm not tired. I think it could be related to stress. xd Whatever it is, it's damn embarrassing. >_>;
And I lost my two pounds for the week. ninja

Sensedog, good for you! With jogging/running, your body heats up. I used to go outside all the time in my neighborhood, and found that when I first walked out the door, it was cold outside. But after a good 15-20 minutes, i was hot enough to sometimes take off my jacket! I would go outside in my neighborhood now, but we have a huge problem with unleashed dogs. I don't know how to handle all these unaccounted for, huge dogs.
Anyway, my "yay"... i'm pretty happy about the improvement of my fitness over this week. And I'm looking forward to more.

Thankfully the dogs in my neighborhood are all kept on leashes and fenced-in. I am now wondering if I should jog tonight because we have just been hit with several feet of snow...it would be fun, to say the least.
