Maziel flinched as the leaf disappeared, and not even ash was left. Actually, the whole branch of the leaf evaporated. "Wow..." He only managed to say, patting Duncan on the back. "I suggest you may now have to start teaching yourself self-control..."

Duncan watched as the branch in front of him was just suddenly... gone... and he couldn't help but give a little grin. So that was what his anger could accomplish? A part of him relished the power to make things disappear... and he quickly shoved that feeling away, it was bad to start to revel in such a power.
He looked over at Maziel and gave a nod, "I will do my best."

Maziel smiled and pat Duncan on the back once more. "That's all I can ask. " He smiled and went to give the boy another happy huggle. After all, he was happy the boy was whole again, not so sleepy and more powerful. The other also seemed to be mroe happy now, and it made him happy. He had nothing to complain about, except perhaps that extra power boost. Now was not to time for a moral talk, and he believed Duncan's known too much of moral talkings already.

Duncan blinked his trio of eyes at the hug before two of the three sank half closed... Maziel was an odd person, so hands on and affectionate. It wasn't what Duncan was used to with anyone but Adriel so he found himself rather enjoying it after all that had happened of late. He leaned his head forward, resting his ear against Maziel's chest listening to the man's heart.
"Thank you." He murmured quietly, the hug meant more to Duncan then Maziel would ever realize. It meant that he wasn't afraid of him, didn't despise him, and it caused the half breed a deep sort of contentment.

Maziel enjoyed the hug for a few more minutes, before finally pulling away. His lips twitched in a frown as he spoke now. "Well then, it sees my work here is done... for now." He spoke softy, patting his student's shoulder. After all, he didn't want to get in trouble for keeping students looker than needed. Besides, Xeviel was quite a jealous person... however funny it sounded to taunt him, it was not nice.

Duncan had been so relaxed and somewhat content when the teacher was hugging him... a rather strange feeling but one he couldn't say he didn't enjoy. The moment he drew back though those feelings receded as well, "I see... then I guess we will meet again next time we have a class."
He turned to head toward the door, somewhat grudgingly as he knew all that awaited him on the other side of the door were people that wanted to take him to be chained back up. He drew in a deep, steadying breath as he walked along not wanting to allow his darker self, his anger, and his fear get the best of him. If he did that he was never going to get out of this place. He would be chained up like a dog forever despite his actions to keep that from happening.
He paused at the door to look over at Maziel one last time before stepping to hand himself back over to Almas and the technicians that were awaiting his return.
