Mentally, Aang slapped herself. Well, unless whoever stalked her was as deaf as God was here, they heard her cries. The first beg sent a piercing pain through her skull, and she dismissed one of her knives to rub the sensitive appendage. Kicking the log she hid in hard, she snapped, "Shut the f*ck up, fool," the girl was making her sick. How could she survive being as weak as she was? A part of her did pity the bawling girl, but with the authorities so close, it was far too risky to help her. "So the Guard's chasing you, whelp?" She shook her head at her, "There is no way I'm helping you, besides you just doomed yourself with your hysterics."

Kaitlyn slid out of the log, "Who said I plained on sticking around?" She smirk at Aang, knowing that she was a fairly good actress. She never really tried but it just happens. She froze the water in the part of Aang's legs that would enable Aang from running... and standing and quickly ran off, trying to get far enouph out that she could then climb into one of the trees with massive branches that could hide her tiny body.

Aang spun her head around, to follow the b!tch, and muttered a curse. She summoned her scythes, trying to turn to face her. The bat demon couldn't stop a cry from emitting from her lips, when her body did not respond. Carefully she attempted to wiggle her toes without success, and the inability caused fear to course through her. Still, she barely hesitated, the fear instead giving her a more vicious side. She threw the scythes in her hands, then two more, determined to at least graze her. The littlest blood would make her trackable, either by scent or trail.
Once she lost sight of the girl, Aang's ears took over. The sensitive appendages listened carefully to the sounds of the forest. Without the wind to rustle the leaves, so move the branches, the woods seemed perfectly silent. But still, the sounds of people could be heard. The first was the still noisy guards searching for the b***h. And it was Aang's hope to help them. Then she heard a tree creak slightly, the faintest sound, under a unusual weight. She could not see which one it was. She did know the direction she was in, and had some idea how far away it was.
With more effort than she expected, Aang flapped her powerful wings, managing to take off. Immediately, she realized that she would not be able to fly either well nor for long. The weight of her legs seemed to be pulling her frail form down quickly. She sent out a sharp shriek, the high pitched tone carrying far. Though she doubted a bat was in the group who could understand the call, it was very likely that some one would come to investigate it. Soon, barely 4 meters, her wings gave out, and she fell the short distance to the ground. The impact was hard, and her legs took most of it. Normally, she could bend them, to decrease the force, but they were currently straight and rigid.
Almost instantly, there was a a loud crack that broke through the silence. Aang doubled over her torso's weight pulling her body to the ground. A searing pain was ripping through her legs, as if they themselves had shattered. Curling up as much as possible, she reached out tentatively touching her legs. It shocked her that they were very cold, and even had a bluish tinge to them. As surprising as the revelation was, it did help Aang understand what was happening. The girl had to be an ice demon, and she'd frozen her legs solid. And the bat demon doubted they would be fully usable again.
Trying to raise her head, she called towards the soldiers. "The rebel is here," She managed to make her voice loud and carry, but it was high pitched, and it took all of her effort to not go back into her bat demon language. "Follow my voice, towards the south!" It was a cruel thing for her to do. It was rumored that Lucifer himself dealt with rebels, and torturing them was his favorite pastime.
A large part of her not wanting to be caught like this by the army, she tried to create an elaborate illusion that showed her standing up, and walking towards the east. But the pain was too intense, and it flicked almost immediately, and then it disappeared. The only thing she could do was to desperately keep herself from giving into the pain. Already she was seeing stars, but unconcious, she had no way to stop the ice demon from labeling her as the rebel.

Kaitlyn heard the tree creak as she climbed on so she jumped off, landing on the ground so softly that no sound was made. She then continued running deeper into the forest and found a much bigger tree inwhich could hold multible gaurds without making a single sound. She knew that she was as light as a feather compared to the gaurds so she quickly climbed up the tree, getting the bark into her tiny hand and making some tiny cuts without notice. She got up and used the branches to get to the highest branch that was still thick and could cover her from all angels. She laid on it with only her arms wrapped around to keep her steady.

The pain coursing through her from her leg caused Aang to forget about her attacker and anything else. She could feel the blackness overtaking her but subconsciously, she desperately fought it. She had spent years surviving, and being passed out was the easiest way to die. Quickly, the agony pushed even that instinct from her mind and she allowed herself the peace unconsciousness would give her.

Kaitlyn brought her arms up and froze her stomache to the tree and held her breath as she heard people coming. She closed her eyes in hope that they couldn't sense her little being being there in the big tree large enough to hold hiding gaurds.

Aang's limp body laid sprawled out on the blanket of dry leaves. Even unconscious, pain was reflected on her face, and she was curled slightly inwards. When she passed out, she forgot about her wings, so she landed awkwardly on one of them so that one of the small bones was fractured slightly.
Her bare legs lay perfectly straight, just like the way they were frozen. They still had a bluish tinge to them. They were also bruising somewhat from the veins that had shattered upon impact when her wings gave out. They had bleed randomly, filling the appendages.

Kaitlyn unfroze her self. False alarm, kido, Kaitlyn thought to her self. She jumped out of the tree without making a sound and then ran on her tiny feet back to find what had happened to Aang. She darted between tree's trying not to be seen. Soon she saw the uncounsious body lieing there, unsure of what to do.

Finally in the world of darkness, at least for the moment, the bat demon looked peaceful. Her face softened into the expression she used to keep as a nun, and her hair fanned around her almost creating a halo in the unrelenting light. She was curled within herself slightly, looking awkward as her torso curled in and her legs remained straight. The bare limbs seemed to get bluer by the moment, and her left wing's upper bone was obviously broken. She needed a healer. A part of her had hoped the worthless guard would hear her, and take her to one of their best, as they were supposed to do, but that obviously was not an option at the moment.

Kaitlyn, able to hear the footsteps of the gaurds leaving for the center of town she went back out to Aang. "I'm sorry," She said, unfreezing Aang's legs, "It was self defence." She went and climbed partially into the tree right near her.

Sensation slowly seeped back into Aang's legs. And with feeling came the pain. Craps streaked through her legs, roughly yanking her from unconsciousness. A shriek erupted from her lips, and she tried to spring away from the nearby demon. It was a clumsy effort, which only brought more pain when she moved mere inches. Thought slowly bleed through pain and instinct as she gathered her surroundings. Realizing who was in front of her, she screeched curses at her in bat. Even though she sat practically useless on the ground, she summoned her scythes, unwilling to simply give in to the second death. Though only Lucifer knew for sure, it was believed that if you died in this Hell you were transferred to a world for only torture. You were supposed to float in nothingness and pain, having no concept of time or space. Yes, she was at least going to make this ice demon bleed before going there. Still she could barely even move her torso to dodge. Whenever she did, the fractured wing bone would shift.
Dammit, she felt like a newly dead. How naive could she have been? Relying on the soldiers to actually help. They were like Lucifer, only focusing on themselves. The only comfort was that they failed their mission, and the Dark Lord would make them suffer for it.
Amazingly, her days spent as a nun helped her frequently during fighting. She had learned to block out any wants and desires she had felt, and now she used that technique on the pain. Almost immediately, her fairly clear eyes locked on the girl, as she tried to look more dangerous than defiant. "What, you're running now?" The thought was absurd, but either way Aang felt like she needed to provoke her. If she left, Aang would not manage her revenge. The bat had accepted death no matter what; if the girl fled, then she would bring it upon herself. She was defenseless, and if some man came along she would not be able to stop his desires. It would be better.

"I'll run later," Kaitlyn said, still rubbing her hands up and down Aang's aura around her legs which still were cold from the ice sti within. She though she only froze it so she wouldn't be able to catch her but she had frozen them solid. I must master my powers if I'm gonna make it through hell, She thought. "You know if you never took out the knife, this wouldn't have happened in the first place."

As the pain decreased, Aang was able to block it out. Therefore her pessimistic, witchy side came out, "Oh, and if it was any other demon," her laugh was harsh, "one not as pure and sweet as you," she added sarcastically, "he or she would not have attacked an unarmed person?" She was grateful, if not confused, for her help. She felt numb; she still hadn't registered her survival. Though it slowly entered her mind, she refused to believe it, not wanting to be hurt if it was untrue.
((Uh...do you know where Dark Angel is?))
