(I must be heading off to work now, sadly.)
The fishy guy spots a large clam with a pearl in it.
"Ooh another shiny," he swims into it and just as he is about to nab the pearl the clam shuts itself with him inside it.
"Ooh, dark. Nap time until I'm free then." He quickly falls asleep.

At the same time the merman surfaces from the water, a few feet from the shore.

A shady looking fish surfaced as well. It was a furry looking fellow, with an upper torso of something that looks like a mammal. The fish thing watched the people on the sandy beach from somewhat afar, not really caring about the red glow. It moved in a few feet.

"Unless they're all in on it.. In which case...WE'RE GONNA DIE!!" Lorien dove back into the water and flailed around while swimming in circles. She was too scared to leave Luthine's side but she didn't want to wait around to get killed.
