Dante couldn't help but pouted a little since now he couldn't even take a sneak peak of whatever Finn was now drawing. He took a big bite out of his ice cream even though he knew licking would make it last longer.

His eyes were cast to the floor as one hand began to idly playing with the chain that was attached to it. He stopped pulling at it and looked from upon hearing the question. The model couldn't help but grin and teasingly ask, "Eh? Are you really that interested about me?"

The grin didn't fade away a single second until he took another bite out of his frozen treat. Not only had it been extremely cold, which made him cough a little, but it gave him a majorly painful brain freeze. Dante hissed slightly as he willed for the ache to go away, before taking a deep relaxing sigh.

"Hmm...well, I like the explore around the area, if I do tend to get lost every now and then. It's fun though because I can take pictures of the various things I see with my cellphone. Then I send whatever I take over to my cousin since she always seems to want to know what I've been doing since I left New York." He smiles warmly at the thought of his cousin and then shuddered a little when his aunt suddenly popped into his head.

"Wow...scary thought just popped into my head..." Dante tried to will it away. Or at least the brainfreeze from the ice cream will make it go away.

“Don’t eat it too fast.” Finn didn’t even look up from his frantic looking coloring (it really wasn’t, he was actually trying to slow down so he didn’t mess up, but that hadn’t happened for years so he didn’t know why he didn’t draw faster) to know that Dante was chomping on his ice cream.

Finnegan finally looked up and grinned. Making sure that he had the face and body structure right from a quick one over before he started to work on the zombie dragon (he was going to be blue and moss green Finn decided). “How about we trade some info then? Since I seem to be interested in every part of your mafia life.” Finn may or may not have winked after he said that. He didn’t allow himself to think about it while he took another bite of his milkshake and went back to the dragon.

“I usually wonder around all the art stores or go people watching in Hachiko Square. A lot of neat people come and go.” Finn grinned adding a satisfied look as the dragon ate a soldier and used his sword as a toothpick.

“My parents are back in Ireland where my older sister and her kids are. My twin older brothers are a weather person and a computer researcher while my oldest brother, the one who brought my to Japan a lot, is a lawyer and travels a lot.” Frowning a bit Finn tilted his head and pronounced his drawing done by shutting his sketch book and placing it on the table in front of him. He was going to finish his milkshake before he showed Dante his picture.

It was only fair. Dante was almost done with his ice cream and Finn hadn’t been able to eat his yet.

Finn frowned a bit at the mention of a bad thought, but he wouldn't ask about it since that would only bring it up again. He didn't want Dante to feel uncomfortable or anything. He was already thrown into a country where he didn't speak the language. Finnegan didn't need to be added any stress on the poor thing.

Dante coughed a little as he began to slow down. "It's just so good, that I can't help but eat really fast~!" Dante replied. It wasn't really a lie because the flavor really was delicious. "Would you like a bite?" The boy asked holding the ice cream towards Finn as if it was a normal thing for two guys sharing an ice cream.

Dante tilted his head at the suggestion. "Trade information..." He repeated and then a look of curiosity had cross his face once again. "Sure, sounds like fun~!"

He smiled lightly listening about Finn's family. "That's one big family you have there~!" With his free hand, he scratched the back of his neck as he began to to talk about his own family now.

"Well....I remembered I used to have really nice parents. The memories with them are still fresh in my mind as if it all happened yesterday. Although, some of them may not be all that great like this one time at the park. A bully came and stole my cookie after knocking me down to the ground..." Dante chuckled nervously. "Oh sorry, that really isn't interesting! Anyway, I had to live with my aunt and uncle when I was around five...." To this the boy shrugged lightly.

"Life with them was okay, but what really brightened up my day was whenever I was with my cousin though. She sometimes acts like an annoying bratty sister, but that's how I treat her anyway~!" The smile came back with full force. "I may not have a sibling related by blood but Gwen is the next best thing!" He suddenly realized that he was ranting again and chuckled nervously once more. "Sorry, I can't help but keep rambling like that!"

Finnegan blinked at the gesture. He will never turn down ice cream, even if it was coming from a man in a scary van, then he would just take it and run. Finn’s love of the frozen dairy was a little bit unhealthy. Taking his spoon/straw combo that his milkshake came with, he nabbed a bit of the slightly green ice cream and set it on his tongue humming in ecstasy. “Everything she makes is homemade and delicious.” Finn might have said with a full mouth.

“You get to ask the first question then.” Finn waved his spoon/straw as he brought up his foot and sat it on his knee. He wanted to get comfortable; Q and A was always the best part of meeting someone new.

Finnegan grinned and bent down to grab a photograph that was in his backpack. It was a little old and had been folded a few times with the edges bending a little bit. In the picture there was a family, the parents, three older sons a daughter and her husband holding two children, a younger looking boy playing with a toddler off to the side. Finn laughed a bit as he placed the photo on the table.

“This is my family. Or least it was five years ago. Since then they have had another little squirt. That makes four little buggers, and I think my sister might keep going until she gets a girl.” Finn laughed, four to none her sister has four boys the oldest one only a year or two behind Finn himself. “They are all really older then I am, my eldest brother and I are twenty two years apart.” Scratching his neck he smiled down at the picture and then looked up at Dante.

The smile might have gotten a little sad as he listened to Dante’s parents but he grinned when he mentioned his cousin. “Dude, half the town I lived in were related to me, cousins, second cousins and so on. It was quite odd, hardly anyone to date.” Finn joked and patted Dante’s arm from across the table.

“Rambling is therapeutic, and I am the one who wanted to know things about you, it would be rude of me not to want to listen to anything that you have to say.” Setting his elbows on the table he set his chin down on his hands as he kept on talking. “Family doesn’t have to be blood, though I have plenty of them, but I would like to think of Ashton as the little brother I never had or something like that. He is totally a month younger then I am.” Finn might have grinned stupidly as he looked back to see his roommate attempt to talk his manager into something that involved a lot of flailing and wild hand gestures.

Dante smiled as he watched Finn take a bite of his ice cream before he began to finish the rest off. It had started to drip on the bottom and being one that hates to waste good tasting things ended up sucking it off his hand. "I really haven't had a homemade food in a while now. So eating this is really nice for a change."

"And as for a question..." He tilted his head slightly as he thought of a question. He smiled a little and asked the first question that came up. "When's your birthday?"

He leaned over a little to take a good look at the photograph. "That's one huge family....and to think, it's even bigger now!" He chuckled lightly. "It seems like it would be nice to have a big family. I think my mom was an only child. But even so, I don't really know much about her side of the family..." He paused and frowned when realization dawned upon him. "Gee, I just realized I know next to nothing about my mom...all I knew is that my aunt doesn't like her though..."

Dante seemed really embarrassed about that but then waved his hand. "I suppose that really isn't important now though." His frown faded back into a small smile, although he still seemed rather flushed at the mention of dates. "Ahh, well. When you mentioned dates, it just seemed to bring up a whole new set of flashbacks. I remembered several years back when I went to a public school, I used to have a crush on this one girl. Even back in the day, I kind of look like a girl...so....er...my confession didn't go too well..." His laugh sounded a little dry this time.

"So I one day told her that I liked her and she gave me this rather horrific look. I didn't think my confession was that bad....but after a long moment of silence she'd told me," He paused in the middle of his sentence, placed his free hand on his hip and flipped his hair with the other. His voice became a little bit of a high pitch as he tried to imitate the girl from his past. "'Sorry, but I'm not into girls!'" He coughed slightly as he straightened up again, dropping the pose. "After I stood there gaping for like twenty minutes, I realized I was out of my mind to have fallen for such a girl. Last time I'll ever make that mistake again!"

Dante coughed a little again to will his blush away as he followed Finn's gaze to the scene with Ashton and his manager. He blinked several times. "D-does he always act like that?

Finn’s breath exploded in a laugh, not that he was looking at Dante as he licked the ice cream off his fingers or anything, he was totally paying attention to the conversation. Really. “Yeah! Dude, I think I have eaten enough instant meals to have enough sodium take me through the rest of my life.” Tilting his head he glanced around the court to look at all the people. His hand itched but he wasn’t in the mood to draw any of them. He was totally getting his paints out when he got home. “Home cooked meals are the one thing that I miss the most.”

“My birthday is January 5th.” Finnegan grinned, “I turned nineteen earlier this year and it actually snowed on my birthday. It was only kind of awesome.”

“It is kinda large isn’t it? A lot of people in my town had huge families so I didn’t think it was so strange until I moved here and people only have one or two siblings if even that.” Scratching the back of his head Finn tried not to smile at Dante’s story or you know, actual ask how someone could confuse him for a girl. His voice may not have been this uber deep tenor but it was still very male.

Flailing his hand around (the one not holding the milkshake, that is a disaster that Finn never, ever, wants to repeat) he explained while staring at his roommate as he almost got thrown into the fry container. “I have concluded that by and large most girls, well I should say people, aren’t worth getting into a relationship with.” Shrugging because that kinda sounded horrible and pessimistic. “I mean, I just really don’t want to get invested in something that was never going to last in the first place. Why go out with people in high school if after that year you are never going to talk to them again?”

Taking a final sip of his milkshake and trying not to pout (because the pout might work on Ashton, but he doesn’t want Dante to get him another one just because he is a starving college student by definition) he glanced over at his roommate and grinned. “Yeah. He is always like that, unless you throw an instrument at him, then he get so intense. It’s really kinda scary. Though it is one of the reasons I asked him to teach me piano and not get lessons from the school.”

"It's time like these I wish I could actually cook something nice. I'd offer you dinner, but then I'd be afraid I might actually poison you..." Dante laughed nervously. "The person who I live with currently can't cook much either. But at least it's edible. She claims it'll keep me in shape."

"Winter is probably one of my favorite seasons. But not as much as Summer." He tilted his head slightly. "Would have been nice if it actually snowed on my birthday. Highly doubt it though and it can't be helped." The boy shrugged lightly.

"Aahh...I didn't really sought out for anybody or anything after that little confession fiasco." He smiled lightly. "Even though I'm sixteen right now, puberty seems to have missed me or something. I'd like to be a little bit more taller and maybe have a deeper voice. I should also consider getting a hair cut maybe..." Dante says while touching the ends of his hair.

He smiled widely at the mention of music. "I think what I really want to hear most right now is hearing you two play something. I love listening to music but to hear an instrument being played in person is even greater which is why I get so excited when I'm offered an opportunity to hear a live concert of my favorite bands and such!"

Sixteen. Dante was sixteen and he almost, sorta, kinda invited him for a dinner that he would never cook. Only quick thinking and automatic suppression of the blush reflex saved him from doing something embarrassing. Like calling him ‘kid’ or ‘jailbait’. Again. Even if just in his head.

Fidgeting with the notebook on his lap Finnegan smiled. “I only know how to cook small meals but I usually don’t have the time or the right supplies so I usually just grab something on the way back from class. There are a bunch of cool places to eat here.”

Finn stuck his tongue out at Dante in digust. “Summer is too humid and gross for me. It makes my hair do some crazy things. Like afros. Not cool.” Wincing at the reminder and patting down his poor blond hair.

“Don’t worry,” Finn bubbled. “You will find the bandwagon soon enough. Everyone wants to be taller, shorter, faster, stronger, or just plain not-them-er. Be happy about who you are!” Towards the end of the sentence Finnegan may or may not have raised a fist with a twinkle in his eye. Maybe. He will deny it in a court of law though.

This time Finn let the blush come, ‘cause the kid was just so earnest. “We might have to have jam session some time then. Ashton knows this awesome dude who can kill people with the sound of his guitar. It will be a mash of piano, guitar and flute and it will kick a**.” Finnegan grinned and leaned across the table to give his point across.

"As long as the place serves fries and cheeseburgers, I'd be really happy. " In fact, Dante was tempted on getting more food but he'd rather not impose. Not to mention, he really shouldn't eat anymore.

Dante frowned when Finn stuck his tongue out at him. "I love the Summer. Even more chances of me being able to go out a lot...." Then he paused and thought over it. "But it also means I have a lot of work too..." Hm, not he really did wonder if he likes Summer as much as he said he did. Dante wanted to laugh upon hearing what happens to Finn and his hair during the Summer. In fact, he let out a bit of a chuckle but quickly covered his mouth to muffle it a little. "Y'know, that'd be a really funny sight. I can't imagine an afro on you..."

He dropped his hand and smiled at the advice Finn gave him. It cheered him up. "Have you ever considered on becoming a motivational speaker? I don't know why, but I feel a lot better now~!"

Dante tilted his head a little bit when he saw Finn blush. Did he say something that embarrassed the other? The boy hoped not. But hearing the talk of music and a jam session seemed to have made the boy a lot more excited. "That really does sound awesome~! I'd love to be able to hear that!"

“Fries and cheeseburger are important for the diet but they are not the only yummy things in this big wide world young Dante. You have much to learn about the streets of Tokyo.” Finnegan tried to do an intimation of a Jedi, but he knew he failed when he cracked a smile towards the end.

“The only thing I enjoy in the summer is no school and being able to laze about in the air conditioning.” Finnegan sniffed and scrunched up his face. “Believe me, an afro does not make me look like anything but a demented pompom.”

Finnegan smiled brilliantly at Dante “I never thought of anything like that. I was just never allowed to think poorly of myself because my siblings were kinda crazy and never allowed me to learn how to mope properly.” Shrugging he crinkled his nose at Dante, “You also know how to make someone feel better, throwing out all these nice words.”

“Ashton’s friend, his name is Rodney and he’s Australian and awesome, can totally make people fall in love with the sound of his guitar. It is totally insane.” Finn bounced in his chair as he explained. “We are in the middle of midterms at the moment, so they don’t have as much free time, but in a few weeks there should be enough time for a jam session.” He didn’t know why he was telling Dante this, but the kid was so earnest in wanted to hear him (and see the super awesome samurai drawing he had tucked into his book. He needed to remember to give that to him before they went their separate ways, and maybe his phone number but he wouldn’t bite off more then he could chew).

Dante raised a brow at the Jedi imitation but found himself laughing again. "Oh really? Why don't you tell me what else that Tokyo has to offer that's just as good as burgers and fries?"

"Air conditioning is nice. But you sound like my cousin. All she ever does is sit in front of the air conditioner when it gets really hot. I love going out during the summer though. I was told that I should try and attempt to get a tan" Dante chuckled a little as he lightly poked at the light colored skin on his arm.

"Oh, and all of my compliments come from my heart. It's my honest opinion really~!" He says and smiles, placing a hand above the place where his heart should be, just to emphasize his meaning.

Dante slumped slightly at the mention of midterms and no free time. He had forgotten how busy students are when it comes to exams and such. Whenever Victoria tutored him, she rarely gave him tests or homework unless he was on some sort of break or vacation from work. "Exams really suck, but I'd still love to hear when the time comes."

Finn’s eyes lit up, totally ignoring that he was being laughed at. He loved talking about food, not that people would think that by looking at him. He is kind of a skinny dude. “There is this place right near my apartment that serves breakfast twenty-four hours and then there is this place near where I work that I can always get half price on all the noodles and beef I can eat because I ate their Jumbo Special in under five minutes. It was amazing.” Bouncing in his chair a little Finn placed the sketch book on the table so it wouldn’t fall off or anything. “And there are soo many coffee and tea shops that have all these yummy little things to eat-“ Finnegan stopped himself and coughed when he realized that he might have been ranting a little bit.

“When it gets hot is to best not to move too much. Then you won’t drown in your own sweat.” Finn nodded to himself as stared at Dante with his chin resting on his fist. “I don’t think a tan would do you too much justice.” He replied honestly. “I find that I like people better if they don’t actively go and try to get a tan but just get one while they are working or hanging out in the sun.”

Poking his own pale skin he gave Dante a small smile. “Plus I kinda become more like a lobster when I go outside for any amount of time, tis the curse of the Irishman.” Flopping onto the table was totally necessary for the dramatization of the sentence.

“Exams were created by the gods to make sure that us mortals didn’t have too much fun boogieing on their earth.” Finn explained from his sprawl on the table top. “This is actually quite comfy.” He said with amazement, maybe he should just take a nap when he waits for Ashton to get off work. That would do wonders for his sleeping habits. Naps are only sort of awesome.

But now was not the time for awesomeness. Now was the time to see if he could drag Dante to the art store that he has been eyeing all week. There were some pastels with his name on it, or at leas they would by the end of the day. “You sure that you don’t have anywhere you need to be?” Glancing at his watch Finn noticed that they haven’t been hanging out for that long, which rocked since it meant that he might be able to spend more time with the kid.

Dante nodded as he listen closely to all of the things and places Finn had been to when it comes to getting a really good meal. He smiled when the other cut himself off, although the boy didn't mind if they continued to talk about food. "Sounds interesting. Maybe I'll go check it out the next time I manage to be free!"

"Most of my work is usually indoors. On occasions, I have to get out though and it's usually takes place where the scenery looks amazing and easy to take pictures..." Dante wasn't sure if Finn was still curious as to what he did for a living, but the boy decided to drop off several more hints. "Now that you mention about it, I really hate to sweat. Mostly because I prefer to smell nice throughout the day, not that I'm some sort of hygiene freak."

He lightly poked at Finn as he watched the older boy lay down on the table they were sitting at. "Laying on top of a table is comfy? I really hate having to sleep on really hard surfaces or beds. I'm actually very picky when it comes to where I decide to sleep or rest in." He chuckled a little.

Dante pulled his cellphone out to check the time. However, his eyes widened at what the screen of the cover read. It appeared that Victoria has been calling...20 times. The boy whistled, slightly impressed at how persistent this woman can be sometimes.

"Nah, I don't need to be anywhere. You wanna go somewhere right now?
PostPosted: Thu Nov 06, 2008 8:21 pm

“Pictures?” Finn purked up from his slouch on the table (even if it was horribly comfortable) at the mention about what Dante did for a living. “Dude, sweating is only awesome if you are doing something to work it up,” waving his hands about to explain something or other Finnegan continued, “Like soccer or running around or manual labor. But just sitting there and sweating buckets is not a pleasant experience.”

Finnegan grinned at Dante and just twitched when he was poked, this table was almost sinful in his ability to flop on it. Maybe he will try to get Ashton to steal one for the apartment. That would be awesome. “I have the belief that if you give me enough time I can fall asleep anywhere. School is an awesome example, gym class was always entertaining.” Finnegan said with a secret smile.

“We were going to go watch me act like an idiot with art supplies remember?” Finnegan rolled his eyes lovingly at Dante when he put his phone away he had the urge to check his now, but he would resist until he had those pastels in his hand. Then he could brag to his brothers until the told him to stop talking about paints like they were high class porn. Those were always the most entertaining conversations.

"Yeah, pictures!" Dante smiled. He began to play with the ends of his hair a little, just to busy his hands a little. "I've never really done much manual labor before. I don't know if I would prefer to pick it over my current job though."

He chuckled lightly. "I rarely sleep at all, I realize. Mostly because I stay up really late to talk to my cousin due to time zone differences and all. Not that I don't mind. I enjoy the occasional nap every now and then. But Tokyo seems to be a lot more fun when it gets dark and all of the lights are blaring!"

Dante stopped playing with his hair and nodded his head. "Sure, we can go now since we are done eating!" The boy says and smiles.
