{ Attitude } Regan is kind and caring, he has an abundance of patience when it comes to children and likes nothing more than running around after them.

{ Parents } Unknown, they disowned him and he isn't in a rush to find them. The carers that looked after him were good substitutes though.

Regan was a sickly child and was abandoned by his family at a very young age. Growing up in care wasn't a pleasant experience, none of the workers knew how to care for his kind and his health continued to deteriorate. At the rate he was going, it was predicted he wouldn't live past his teenage years. He planned on making the most of the time he had left and continued to enjoy playing with the other children in the home, always with a smile on his face.
At thirteen things started to look up for the sickly mer, a camping trip to the lake in the woods held the cure for whatever was ailing him. Regan was a fresh water mer, not a salt water. The carers cleaned out his pool and filled it with fresh water and within a month he was a picture of health and was finally able to keep up with the younger children. Though years of illness had knocked his immune system, he was able to grow into a happy and relatively healthy adult.
Though he was never adopted, he enjoyed the years he spent in care and though it upset him each time one of the children found a new home, he was overjoyed that they would finally have a family of their own.
Not wanting to waste his new lease on life, Regan decided to study child care at the local college with the hopes of working in a care home like the one he'd grown up in. After years of hard work he had the qualifications he needed and was lucky enough to be offered a job at the home he grew up in.
Now a live in carer, Regan spends his days looking after children in the same position he'd once been in. He's also enjoys fundraising to take the children on trips the home wouldn't be able to afford on their own.
Jessi and Morgan were problem twins when younger, it took years to finally settle them and earn their trust, but the mer succeeded where many failed and unofficially became their father.
Sadiki is the newest resident of the home and his curiosity is keeping the mer on his toes.
