I laugh myself silly with some classic Donny & Marie songs played at 45 instead of 33! Deep Purple when it sounds like Chipmunks! Aaahhhh! That would cheer anyone up. biggrin

Happy Halloween, everyone! mrgreen I'm dressing as the Cat's Pajamas, which means I get to go to work wearing pajamas and slippers. Can't get much better than that. whee

Hahahaha that sounds awesome!
Well, my Halloween didnt exactly go to plan...
Got me and the kids all ready in their costumes and off we went, i had a vague idea where it was but got hopelessly lost down the maze of country lanes. finally figured out how to get back to the main road and tried to turn the car around.
BACKED STRAIGHT INTO A DITCH!
So its pitch black, no other cars for miles around and no signal on my phone and im trying not to panic because the kids are ready to freak out. So i get out to survey the damage, its not bad, the car isnt going to fall any further but there is no way i can move it, finally find a signal for my phone, call the recovery people and they ask so where are you? I have no idea gonk So i basically tell them the route i took and we figure out sort of where i am. they tell me its going to be an hour even though im a priority. So then the actual driver calls me to try and pinpoint exactly where i am, we sort of figure that out and he says keep your phone on i'll call if i cant find you. I had to stand out in the cold to keep a signal on the phone wearing my halloween costume because i had wrapped the kids in all my warm stuff and left them in the car. It was -3 and i was wearing high heels a skirt and a thin cotton blouse. But at last i see orange flashy lights and the recovery truck came, it was very dramatic he even wrapped us all in those big shiny blankets!
So he sets the car back on the road, turns it for me so im facing the right way and off i go.
As im driving home i actually passed the place where the party was, 10 minutes after it had all finished gonk Poor kids didnt get their party, all they got was hot chocolate and put to bed.
So to make up for it im going to go out today and get a dvd and a whole load of sweets and popcorn and we are going to have a feast!

Aww, Anjel! Well even if it wasn't the best Halloween, it'll certainly be a memorable one.

Well, I helped a friend move house so by the time we got back i filled them with takeout food and candy and we watched star wars the clone wars feeling a bit queasy then off they went to bed. Wasnt the best fun ever but bless em they enjoyed it biggrin

Only special activity near Halloween to me was going to SRA shooting. Far away from civilization to forest and had first experiences with real guns. No wonder people should be careful with those, but darn it was fun.
My dress code was green, brown, more green, dirt, landing boots with dirt, and some more green and bright blue ear protection. biggrin

I'm not looking forward to Thanksgiving, since the day after (Black Friday) is a huge deal in the retail world; my store opens at 5 AM, and there's a humongous sale and it's going to be insane. gonk I remember Black Fridays in Portland, people would literally camp outside IKEA and Macy's and other places, just to get in line for the early morning sale. And there's always some poor person that gets trampled in the crowd rushing in when the doors are unlocked.
People are freakin' nuts. mad
Oh and happy early Birthday, Anjel! =D
