Flabbergasted wasn't quite the word for what came across Persy's face, but she was certainly more than surprised to see how much Writ had changed. There was no way that Coyote had changed him further...right? "Seasons is always open to prophets, as long as they behave," Persy retorted in an effort to maintain her composure. She would have to talk about this to Anubis later, when there were children around.

She said nothing about the torch, but she frowned, and the flame sputtered out in an instant. She then paused, her eyes losing focus as if she were concentrating on something else. Her gaze quickly went to Echo, and she hardened her expression, ready for business.

"I've got reports that Ciro is on the move again in the Harbor area." At Echo's pleading look, she added, "Yes, you can go find him." No sooner than the words had left her mouth, Echo was up and away, closing the door behind her. It appeared she had more pressing matters to attend to.

With an exasperated sigh, Persy returned her attention to the prophets, namely Writ, who appeared to be the ringleader of the three. "What information do you need?"

Ciro's out and about again, huh? Well, the dark shouldn't be a problem for a fire godling. He's probably going to Seasons too. Great. He better be quick about it, or he'll be forced to be in the same room with that angsty b*****d again.

"Isn't it obvious?" Writ waved a hand at the darkness outside of the window, "This isn't any ordinary blackout. What's going on?"

Keahi blinked as the torch sputtered out and he glanced at Persy. Had she-? He blinked again as the woman started talking about some person named Ciro. Man, he needed to learn more of the godlings. He could only guess that this Ciro was one, but now Persy was turning to business and he hoped she would have the answers they were looking for.

However, Writ had already voiced the pressing question of the day... night... whatever freaking time it was. The blackout and its cause... or causes. That's what they were looking for.

Seth knew he was way out of the games loop, and that much was clear with the others conversations. On the bright side, where was a newbie here with him, hopefully he wouldn't have to ask questions about things he should already know with Keahi here. For his current state of mind Seasons was a whole new place as well.

He leaned against some of the shelving in the corner of the room, clearly more tired than any person should be from the walk over here. Everyone else was doing the talking, he could take it all in while he caught his breath.

It was definitely Coyote's prophet: who else did she know to be so cocky in the presence of a goddess? "Actually, the blackout is nothing more than the inconvenience of silly mortal circumstance." Crossing her arms, she moved across the room, looking outside for a moment before turning back inwards. "Nothing to worry about, unless you actually are scared of the dark."

"So you don't know either, huh?" Writ hopped off the table and walked over to Persy. It was hard to believe that he was a little kid at one point, absolutely terrified of the woman he was towering over now.

"Man, and here I was thinking that you knew everything." Writ snorted, "Don't you think that a city-wide blackout that's got my god and these kids on their toes is just a little bit weird?" He stepped to the side to keep Nuka away from eating the lights. "Thought you'd be in a sharing mood, new boyfriend and all."

Keahi just stared at Writ. How rude could one get?! Though he was a man, Writ should still show respect to Persy. She was a woman, after all. But Keahi could only stare at Coyote's prophet, his jaw hanging loose in shock. "Hey... that's not very nice..." The boy finally managed, frowning at Writ.

Seth listened intently, picking up what he could and piecing it together while he drew heavy breaths in the corner. She'd said she was a Goddess, which would explain why Writ was interested in taking to her, though that was hardly reassuring with the way Writ was talking to her now. He'd have said something, but Keahi got to it him before him.

Several things happened at once: first, the orchids on the walls all went out. Then, all the leaves in the room rustled with violent snaps of greenery biting into the crisp air. Dimly, light returned to the room, but it was from one central place, where Writ was held in place by a series of vines, flowers, and other sorts of plant-life. Even the woody stems had gotten involved, though they crawled up his body at a slower pace, creating a more solid barrier.

Persy's look was murderous, and the tighter she clenched her fists, the harder the plants squeezed. She was willing to bet that by the time the trees had fully grown, she could break ribs if she wanted to. It was that knowledge that planted the smirk on her face, and she crossed her arms, confident now that she had the upper hand once again.

"It is nothing more than a mortal issue: gods are not the ones to light the City, after all," she snapped, her voice lacking patience. "However, if you'd like, I can use your body strung up to the orchids to light at least half of Midling, and then we'd have a divine presence influencing the light for once."

"It's your call, boy."

"What, I say something wrong?" Writ managed a little bit of swagger through his discomfort. He winced as the plants' grip grew tighter. Nuka was barking madly at Persy.

Writ turned to Keahi, "Yeah, I'm not very nice." The godling's breathing became faint, "Look at me now and say that." He tried to motion his head towards Persy, and then to his flowery prison- but all he managed was a couple of stiff nods.

"So you're sure that it's just some ordinary-" Writ's question was answered when lights outside the streets and in the shop flickered back on.

"Oh."

This was embarrassing.

Keahi jumped when the flowery lights disappeared. Soon, though, light came back and his jaw dropped at what he saw. Writ's comment just made the boy's mouth move soundlessly before he finally closed it. This man was going to get himself killed like this...

The boy was blinded for a moment by the sudden shock of the city's lights coming back on. He rubbed his eyes for a moment. Well, this seemed to answer one of their questions...

"If this was just a mortal thing... why were the gods frightened? They scared of the dark or something?"

Keahi... The tone was a warning and the boy fought to hide a grin.

Maybe he would have helped Writ, but from what he'd gathered Persy was a goddess had not the best of person to get on their bad side, which Writ already appeared to be.

Seth gave out a groan when the lights came back on as he flinched covering his eyes.

Like so many things in the past months, it'd been just another waste of his time. Father would probably wouldn't care now that he knew there wasn't anything God-related afoot, he'd still have to answer want he was doing out in the dark without permission.

"Lets just go Writ, this has just been a waste"
