Shemei looked at the female shocked. She was a bold one.
Casimiro worked. "No he would not stop rubbing or picking at it....and then his protector took him out to sleep in the dirt and woods and got it more infected." He started to wrap Firrah's eyes and then moved to make a mixture to give to Firrah if he started to itch.
"No one is special...we are all the same...I only do what I am told that is my induction." He then looked at Shemei. "Take him to his room then we need to talk."

"What you're told?" Wish laughed. "What are you, some kind of nut? Honestly. Who does that kind of crap without wanting to? Cutting some poor kid up, using a firebrand on someone's face ... what'd you do to Spotty over here? At least she looks like she's in one piece."
Still, she couldn't help but feel sorry for the little black katorai. He was cute ... but simply for the crime of being brought here, he was going to be blind.

Casimiro did not respond to Wish's frist set of questions. He just cleaned up the stone table and washed his hands. "If Shemei wants to let you know what I did to her then she will...I do not kiss and tell." he said flatly and moved to the door, "I am sure you will find your floor will already have everything you need...if you have need of anything else....just say so."
He then turned to look at Wish, "And if you think of bringing friends home to live here...just know they will have to scarifice something to stay."
Shemei picked up Firrah holding him close and looked at Wish, "Shall I show you to your floor? the stairs arn't all in a row." She smiled, "What floor are you on?"

Wish gaped at Casimirio. "You kissed her but not me?" she exclaimed, genuinely insulted. "Oh come on now, that's not fair at all!"
She folded her arms across her chest in annoyance, and she nodded curtly at Shemei's offer.
"Top floor beneath his," she told her, nodding at Casimirio. "Whichever number that is."
In Shemei's arms, Firrah began to stir lightly, one ear twitching.

Shemei shook her head, "No he did not kiss me...it is an expression." The indigo male and kissed her before yes...and he had been very gentle and kind with her too. She just wish that Firrah would see that side of Casimiro as well as his darker side. She nods, "I see so the fifth floor then..." She nodded and moved to the stairs holding Firrah close to her. Thankful that Casimiro had rubbed numbing salve over the wounds so Firrah would not feel the pain of having the wounds scraped and cleaned.
"I will show you the way but first let me put him into his bed." She said as she walked along the second floor.

Wish relaxed a bit and nodded, feeling a little better.
"Fifth floor it is then," she grinned energetically. "Lead the way!"
In Shemei's arms, Firrah sighed softly, and his little tongue slipped out of his mouth and ran over his lips, then disappeared once more. Then he yawned, showing his little teeth, and nuzzled into Shemei's neck.

Shemei felt the small mouth working as Firrah nuzzled a bit above the collar. She gasped and moved into Firrah's room and layed him in a huge plush feather bed. She made sure he was tucked warmly within it and then turned to Wish. "Lets get you to your room then." she said and started to move towards the door.

Wish nodded and grinned. "If it's anything like this room, I'm really going to love living here," she murmured, looking around Firrah's room. "Man ... all this is for him? Lucky bugger ... even if he can't see it."
She stepped to the side and gave Shemei a mock bow. "After you."

Shemei nods, "Your room will be to your liking. And if you need anything more just let us know." She sighed, "You do not know what it is to be subtle do you Wish?" She asked as she let the way to another set of stairs. On each floor the stairs were in a different location.
"And the only one you need to show respect to is Master Casimiro." she continued to lead on, walking quickly and on all fours.

"Subtle?" Wish grinned impishly. "What's the fun in that?"
She laughed and skipped after Shemei, not at all taken aback by her questions or comments.
"And what's with the whole 'master' thing, anyways?" she asked with a lopsided grin. "Sure it's his place, but who cares? We're not servants, and we're not slaves - and if that is the case then I won't be sticking around long - not unless he can make it worth my while."
She winked at Shemei and giggled softly.

Shemei shook her head, "He might not be your master but he is mine. And he deserves respect but he will not try to make you see that. And he does not make it worth anyone's while. He just gives certain ones a home to stay." She said softly.
She let all the way up to the fifth floor and smiles, "If you do not mind then I will leave you to explore your room and I will return to my ward." she said again and nods, "Welcome to the family Wish." she said and moved back down the towards Firrah's room to be there when he wakes.

Wish was confused by Shemei's ... explanation, but when the other female welcomed her to the family, she simply smiled and headed into her new room to explore.
Firrah meanwhile was slowly drawing towards wakefulness, still groggy from the drug, and the first thought that entered his mind when he was awake enough to think was, "Shemei?"
He yawned and sat up, fumbling a bit before he found his balance, and though his instinct was to rub at his eyes so that he could open them, he remembered his promise to Shemei that he would not do that anymore, and so he didn't. He pricked up his ears and tried to listen for her, then sniffed at the air.
"Shemei?" he called out again, a little louder this time. "Where are you?"
Silence.
Fear began to grow in his chest, and his heart began to pound. Where was she? Had Casimirio gotten angry and hurt her? Why was he alone? For that matter, where was he?
"Shem-" He cut himself off, hearing soft footsteps approaching the room, and he held his breath apprehensively, waiting to see who it was who had come.

Shemei heard Firrah's soft calls for her and she walked into the room, "Its okay Firrah....its me....I was taking the new house guest to her room." She said and moved towards the big bed slowly crawling onto it. "How are you feeling?" She rubbed his arm, "Are you in any pain?"
She licked his chin softly and moved to hug him.

The moment Shemei was in reach, Firrah clung to her tightly.
"Doesn't hurt," he mumbled, "and I can't see nothing ... but I guess that's because I got all them ban'ages on my head ... but you weren't here and I thought something happened and I was scared because I was all by myself ..."
He whimpered softly. He didn't mean to, it just escaped out of him before he could stop himself.
"Where are we?" he squeaked, hugging her as tightly as he could.

"I am very sorry Firrah." she said gently and smiled, "Well dear...we are in your own room...I hope the bed is to your liking. It is big enough that it should be perfect for you when you grow up too." she laughed and licked his neck.
"I am so glad your not in pain...would you like to have a bath now or rest some more?"
