wat i really hate it that u have to pass it in the 10th grade or u cant pass high school

ATTENTION!
I don't really dislike the WASL... it's just inconvenient.
And it interrupts my school time.
I think I've passed ever WASL I've ever had to take...
Since like, 4th grade.
That is all.

beleive it or not I like the wasl I always fail the Writeing though but I like the silence.

I was excused from taking the WASL last year cuz i was on vacation in Hawaii. yay! the teachers said that since i missed the retakes i didnt have to take it anymore and i was excused.

Glad that's over. During 10th grade WASL, my teacher gave the class work to do during the leftover time once we finished.
Always finished with so much time to spare, I felt like I was wasting hours of my life. lol.
I liked 7th grade WASL because that was when they gave us snacks. XD

WASL: you all have my deepest sympathies. was no such thing for me, I got outta HS with nothing more than "basic" math, not even algebra. anything else I know I picked up as occupational skills on the job, like fractions and decimal and even metrics. I mean, it's not like most of you will actually USE any of that crapola in real life.

WASL isn't necessary
It used to be about like how good the teachers teach and how good kids score and it doesn't matter but now it matters a lot
What I don't get is that we already have tests and WASL is jsut any other test and we don't need it
Also some kids don't do good on tests and such but they do good when their not under pressure
I think it's not fair for those types of kids when they go to 10th grade
When they're already doing good in school
Plus also the WASL is wasting the states trees and paper
Like I said the WASL is like any other tests it's stupid
Some teacher think it's too :/
It's also wasting out school TIME D:
Though I do good in WASL and that's good in all like i pass all of it and stuff BUT STILL I HATE IT AND IT's STUPID! D:<

I am glad we did not have WASLs when I was in school... but I feel for my kids who have to go through that.

It doesn't matter that the WASL is easy for some people. I personally did really well on it... four years ago... But making a standardized test mandatory to graduate high school is just ridiculous. It's bad enough that high schoolers have to take SATs and ACTs, or at the very least a test for community college. But keeping their diploma from them because they don't take tests well, that's just adding insult to injury. Pretty much the only thing the WASL was for me was bragging rights. (I got a 100% on the writing section when I took it, and that made me really... full of myself, I guess...)

Fuji_hobo_jacket Washington Assessment of Student Learning. Or something to the degree. xP Passed it when I had to take it. IMO, make fun of the essays as much as possible. I got one prompt that was like 'Your house is on fire and you have to get out. Any family members/pets are safe, and you can only choose one thing to take with you. What will you choose, and why?' My answer: Fire Hose. So that my house doesn't burn down. I still passed it. lol
