Red_Death_Stalking And in reply to Grandpa Ducky, I was actually watching the debunct movie "The Phantom of the Opera" starring Robert Englund (you know where he sews on peoples skin to his own face and sleeps with that prostitute that he calls Christine *shudder*) and the Red Death costume there (obvioulsy designed if not copied from the musical although I can never find any good reference pictures of the one in the musical) made me actually sad that I didn't pick the musical one becuase it's obviously much more kickass Me: *sees costume* eek biggrin heart *joygasm* 4laugh ...but my budget is notkickass....so I must stick with the movie version (but I had a hell of a lot of fun making the skeleton mask so....I'm not really complaining.) I haven't seen that movie. Would you recommend it? I'm guessing by the fact that you called it debunked, that you wouldn't, but it can't hurt to ask. You're right about the lack of any good pictures for referance, I can't find any. I did an e-bay search and did find some Red Death figureines that were being sold, though.

I'm going as McErik.
My eyes are blue, so all I need to do is find a brown contact, which, incidentally, my friend has. They're just empty contacts that have no purpose except for colour. Soooooo, that'll work out fantastically.
I do need to find a fedora and a cape though. Everything else I've got set.
Then again, anyone remember 12 Days of PotO? I'm going Christmas Carolling with that and a bunch of other odd songs (Christmas at Ground Zero: Weird Al, anyone?) with my friends. Again, as Erik. <3 Love.
I'm putting on backyard skits with my thespian friends on Halloween, too. It's gonna be great. I wanted to do a haunted house though.
OH EM GEE. A "Phantom's Haunted House" would be great. Like, with Phantoms from every movie!
Robert Englund, Michael Crawford, Gerard Butler, Charles Dance, Claude Rains, LON CHANEY, and that guy who plays Winslow. Now THAT would be something.

I'm being Christine. My beloved mother is now even more so because she sewed me Christine's masquerade dress. It's so beautiful. I have a hoopskirt and long gloves and everything.
I threw a masquerade for my brithday party on the 1st, and I wore it then. I even followed the black, white, and gold color scheme like in the movie, but my dress was pink, also like in the movie! :XP And the guy I'm totally in love with told me I looked beautiful. :3 All my friends thought I looked exactly like Christine.
Last year there was a foot of snow on the ground on Halloween, so even though I can wear pants and long underwear under the hoopskirt, my arms will be half-bare, and the dress is low-cut. gonk I'm gonna freeze my butt off...
I'll put up a pic when I get one. mrgreen

I'm going as Erik this Halloween.. even though my costume isn't the best. It's just the cape, frilly shirt, pants and boots. And of course, the half mask. I refused to buy that cheap five dollar mask from Hot topic, so I had to settle for a slightly cheaper cape to buy the twenty dollar mask.. u.u I still have to find a jacket for the outfit, though.. The shirt is linen, and it gets awefully cold in Michigan during October. o_o

Found a gypsy costume at a shop that looks like Aminta. So I'll be here. At least she gets laid in the movie. (Or would have if Erik hadn't decided to get all sentimental on us. wink )

Naw, I was actually thinking about being either Anakin from Star Wars or Wesley from Angel...I haven't decided. I might be a school girl just for kicks when I go to parties, but for the out-ness...either Wes or Anakin. Thier clothes are much warmer. (I'm in Alaska)
