(( Oops, I was originally calling him Dilas.... I'll go change that when I get the chance. ))

Kain looked around trying to find the source of the voice. It had sounded so close. He turned around and saw a girl watching him. He smiled in an oddly perky way. "Oh, hi!" He said grinning ear-to-ear. "Hey, uhh... do you know the way outta here? Or where what leads to waht?" He asked. Suddenly he looked afraid, or at least pretending to be. "Did you hear that sound a little while ago?"

She nodded. "Yeah, that's what I was looking for. What made it I mean." She touched her cheek thoughtfully with her index finger, then pointed the way she'd come. "Well, the entrance is that way." Then she gestured the area around them. "And there are tons of chambers to explore. You get deeper underground if you go that way..." She pointed in the direction opposite the entrance, then touched her cheek again. "...I think."

Kain nodded slowly, almost as if he didn't understand what she had said to him. Then he shook his head and looked deeper into the place. "Yeah, I sort of just wandered in here without thinking, so I kind of lost my way. Hehe." He laughed nervously and then smiled at her. "Thanks, I thought I'd never figure it out." He was shocked a little, to find that his headache was gone. It must of been when he screamed that the headache came on. "Hey, would you like some company travelling through here?"

Lior shrugged as the roar died down.
"Onward we go." she said flatly, as she led the way deeper into the mine. A shade came in front of the two, but Lior drilled a hole into it with her bo staff, as if she was putting a hole into a piece of paper. She walked further, leaving the shade's corpse where it was.

Miraldae followed Lior obediantly into the caves as the echoes of the roar faded. He suddenly saw a black shape and drew his sword about an inch before Lior delivered her fatal blow to the shade. That had tried to assualt them. This girl knew how to use her staff, that was for sure. Miraldae's senses suddenly alerted him to another presence behind him and his whipped his sword out of its sheath, spun expertly on his heels, and brought his sword down on a shade attempting to sneak up on them from the back. The shade unleashed a howl of agony as Miraldae's sword bisected it before its remains faded back into the darkness. "So that bo staff isn't just for show, huh?" Miraldae said with a small laugh, turning back around and resting Kasofi on his shoulder. The blade of the sword was as black as night, and it seemed to glow very faintly with a red aura in the darkness of the cave.

Lior turned back.
"Of course not. Are you going to tell me next that your sword moderates every action you make?" she asked half-heartedly. Her bo staff certainly wasn't for show-she killed ten people with it. As a child.

"Not every action." Miraldae said with a forced laugh. He hoped it had come off as a joke to her, because he didn't want to have to lie. Even though he did it quite often, he disliked lieing, so he hoped she had taken his comment as a joke and wouldn't pry. "Would you mind if I asked who your teacher was?" Miraldae asked, looking over at her as he began to walk again.
"Who cares? You're better then her anyway. Just kill her." Kasofi muttered in his head, but Miraldae ignored it.

Lior pondered.
"Teacher, teacher, teacher." she said as she thought. Lior stopped.
"Me." she said, after silence. "Why?"

"You were self-taught?" Miraldae replied, glancing forward for a moment to make sure he wasn't going to run into anything.
"See! She's self-taught! She'd be an easy kill." Kasofi stated excitedly in Miraldae's head, trying to force him to attack the girl. Miraldae resisted the sword's control, however, resulting in his right arm just shaking slightly instead of slashing towards Lior.
"For the last time, I'm not going to kill her." Miraldae replied. "That would be murder."

"You've murdered before." Kasofi pointed out.
"The kills I perform for jobs don't count." Miraldae replied. "I was merely curious." he replied to Lior with a small smile. "Most people are taught by masters, so I merely assumed."

Lior nodded suspciously. She noticed Miraldae's arm shake.
"Hey," she said, her tone becoming quieter and softer, "you okay?" Lior turned to fully face him.
"If you're hurt, let me know, and we'll go back to the entrance and get help, okay?" she said, not sounding like herself.

"I'm fine, but thank you for your concern." Miraldae replied, walking around Lior. Not only did he not want to tell her about the cursed sword, but she would probably think he was crazy anyway.
"You can't resist me forever, Miraldae." Kasofi said angrily.
"I can't, and I will." Miraldae replied, but he knew this was a lie. He would need to satiate the sword's bloodthirst soon or it might take him over again and go on a rampage. Miraldae suddenly stopped and looked around at where they were. This wasn't where they had been heading. "We must have taken a wrong turn somewhere..." he muttered, trying to see into the darkness around them. Something didn't seem right.

She eyed the man. Just wandered in? So he probably didn't know much about these caves. Still... "I'm fine without company, but do you know anything about mining?" she asked hopefully.

Kain looked thoughtful for a moment. "Well yeah, a little bit. I know a few dwarves who taught me how to. Heh, they live in the same caves I grew up in." He smiled. He grabs his pack off his back and pulls a few things out of it. A dagger, a sword, an axe, a scythe, a bow and a quiver of arrows, a staff, a spear, a few mining tools among other weapons. Eventually he pulled out what he was looking for, a pickax. "There it is." He seemed to be in a pleasant mood still.

Lior looked at Miraldae.
"Okay, lead the way then." she said, as she looked into the cavern. Wrong way? Every way seemed wrong to her. Lior felt something ominous about the cavern. Her ears shivered, but her tail remained upright without any movement, which was quite odd for a cat.

"All right then..." Miraldae said slowly, turning to face they way they had come. He was about to begin walking again when an inhuman screech echoed from behind him and he turned to see a goblin charging out of the darkness behind him. He dodged the goblin's weapon easily and decapitated it when torches lit up in the room around them, revealing that they had been surrounded by a small horde of goblins. "Damn..." Miraldae muttered. How had they been surrounded without him noticing? The goblins charged them and Miraldae readied his sword, cutting through the goblins with ease.
"Goblin blood doesn't satisfy me Miraldae!" Kasofi roared in his head, the sword gloawing violently with a blood red aura as it attempted to seize control of Miraldae's body. Miraldae seemed to freeze with his sword halfway through a goblin's body.
