MANILA, Philippines -- Tension gripped an exclusive girls’ school in Marikina City shortly after noon Wednesday amid reports that there was a bomb inside its premises.
Classes in St. Scholastica's Manila Academy were suspended as a result of the supposed bomb threat, Chief Superintendent Leon Nilo dela Cruz of the Eastern Police District said.
Dela Cruz said that members of the Marikina SWAT team (Special Weapons And Tactics) were immediately deployed to the area but failed to find any explosive.
