Congrats Kojiro-san!
After many months of wailing and moaning and tossing ashes on my head, Apple has finally announced the next generation of G5 desktop computers, one of which will shortly take the place of this five year old iMac DV that has served me faithfully all those years.
The retirement plan is to move the iMac to my home office where it will replace an even older computer that will be donated to a needy local grade school student. It's a win-win situation!

Nothing better than totally owning a new Mac, it seems. I'm actually burning and itching to add on my overdraft (never mind I haven't yet payed for the new laptop, natch) and get a Mac mini. They're totally bomb, and small and cute to boot. And all for less than LM300!

Today we had our next-to-last code review for our Advanced Internet Applications class.
It seems my team is the only one making a true Distributed Application program in Java, using Sockets. The others are using Servlets and JSP, which I find just a bit more complicated to my tastes. Also, we managed to send a query from the Client to the Database Server, and send the results back, all of this using JDBC and a three-tier model for Java Database Applications.
What does this mean?
That the teacher was surprised, and glad. He pretty much said we're the best team in his class crying

G'luck with the auction Raven.
Ah! I forgot! This weekend I got to finish 4 bloody assignments of epic proportions (Kojiro would know about this, since he was privy to me complaining about them on msn). They're totally done with now, which is awesome. So me and some guys from the course went to have lunch at a restaurant to get totally pissed. 'T was great.

Got my grades in for all my classes except for one, Two B-'s and an A-...
but the other is given a grade S.

I've been in a queue for nearly seven hours (!) to... land a part as an extra in a movie! And I've been chosen like, totally!
Don't ask me what film this will be, or even it will be about. All I know is that it will involve lots of men in beard, since for the coming eight weeks I can't shave or cut my hair, thus becoming what amounts to a REAL MAN.
I'll post pics of myself in fully fledged beard sometime...
