Aurora Avalon My life basically sucks I have no job and I am in college. I live with my grandmother in her home town. There are not many jobs where I live and no decent guys either that not already taken. ~sighs~ I don't want to be around hunters, fishers, or anything think that dinner has to be shot and killed.

I wish all you galls and guys good luck, to either find a dream job or a dream date xP
Not like I'm doing grate in the love department. Apparently as my friend says I am emotionally challenged. I either am too shy to talk to a guy, or just end up being awfully cruel and mean. I have the worse mood swings...and in all my life I had only 1 boyfriend that I didn't care for much, so I told him it's best we part ways. =_=;
So I just say feck it, I'm concentrating on my career, I'd rather have that, and if there is that special someone out there good, if not, I am not sitting at a singles bar waiting.
Maybe it's best for the poor bloke, because I'm hard to handle, and stubborn as a leo could be... xD

I get it every day, I'm not single, but might as well be with the way she treats me,. 26, still living with the 'rents because i can't find a decent job to move out with. and my g/f says I'm worthless and I need to get my act togeather yadda yadda yadda.... confused nothing is panning out and it sucks. I feel thy pain mon cher

Wow, lot's of sadness. Takes a bit of my depression away temporarily. Just try not to end up like me. My only happy moment tends to be the one's here on gaia these days. I am so glad to have found a place where we can not feel so alone though.

Ugh, you just got to love people that come up to you and say you're worthless unless you get a proper job. Not everything is about a job, or either love. Getting a so called respectable job is nothing if you hate it, I say it's better with out, even if I end up with me folks forever... though I doubt it, I'll just rent with a friend or something...
That's it I'm moving to the Netherlands, there, if you find an abandoned building and you start living in it for a year I think, the law will give it to you... Sort of like, finders keepers... xD

Hey. Don't be sad. I'm ten years older and single. Happily single actually. Even too busy to date. I think You (generally You I mean) should not look too eagerly, it gives desperate vibes out.

Happily single here, and I will be 29 next month. Happy Birthday to Us!
I've been on my own since I was 18 (well got kicked out and allowed back for a couple months while I was 17 too). I'm very happy to have a solid job, and I am trying to take night classes to be able to have a degree.
When it comes to work, I tell every one who asks this:
All jobs have benefits and drawbacks. You always have to give a little to get a little. It just comes down to what you are willing to put up with.
Honestly, if we didn't need money we wouldn't work. However, if you can make money doing what you enjoy, then what are you waiting for!!

So what if the only things you enjoy don't make any money? You make a great point, it's just that nothing seems to make me happy anymore except for the love of a person. The older I get the more lonely I get. Next june will be 30 and still there is nobody that is right for me in my life. There's always good friends but even that only makes me happy for a short time. Even my passions don't offer me much satisfaction and now I have no dreams or direction at all and am at a loss for something worth putting effort into again. Everything comes back to feeling alone and not sure what to do with that.

I think this can be applied to many things in life, including the feeling of loneliness. Go out and do something about it! Feeling lonely and sitting at home alone only serve to perpetuate the other.

Same here never dated, never had my first kiss never had my first boyfriend so still i beat you I am a VIRGIN and besides growing up for me was hell, I was teased, kicked, tripped and stabbed in the leg, I also had my head banged against a brick wall in 8th grade. Where I live all the guys that are my age are married its a small town In mississippi and there isn't anything to do except go to the library for two hours a day.

Lol I have dislexia, ADD or ADHD, I can not see left at all I been this way since i was born. Um my comprehinsion is way off like my ablity to spell correctly. LOL any whoo I am managing and I do tend to get migrains for no reason and bloody noses. OMG my first job was baby sitting too hehe

I'm 28, jobless and again living with my parents after a failed relationship. I've been jobless since November. I've been interviewing, constantly checking the job boards but yet remain unemployed. I'm loosing it, my parents are driving me crazy even though it kills me being here knowing that I'm 28 living on them. Who said we should move to where they are because the rents are low and the guys are sweet?! Girl, tell me when and where. lol.

Forgot to mention I'm also a virgin, but I'm actually okay with it. For me, sex does not equal self-worth. I'm gonna be 28 next month, but I honestly don't care if I'm still a virgin twenty years from now (which I probably will be sweatdrop ).
