What I want to know about driver's licenses, is why licenses from other countries automatically transfer into allowing you to get one here? Maybe it's just me, but foreigners, no matter where they are from, should be made to take classes and testing before being allowed a license. A Somalian girl I work with told me that where she is from, people were automatically GIVEN a license at a young age without any testing even, not to mention her city did not have any driving signs, lights, or better yet... roads. And these people are automatically given a license just because they had one from another country...

Okay, I'm shutting up now... that got me pretty fueled up...
I am pretty sure they still have to do all the tests and stuff to get a license. The logic behind giving licenses is that, because people have to do the testing, they will somehow be better drivers, instead of having a bunch of unlicensed people driving around. That would mean they don't get a license automatically.
I think it's pointless to give the licenses though. All it does is give a person a piece of paper saying they passed some test. So what? All my friends have driver's licenses, but a few are shitty drivers anyway and one has several speeding tickets already. A license does not mean you are a good driver, and it doesn't mean you are paying for car insurance, so when you total another car that driver is ********.
