My apologies if my last pm to you came off as snippy. I was simply not in the mood to deal with an in-depth debate as to whether or not I had made the correct move. My aim wasn't to antagonize you or to attack you, though I fear it may have come off as rather abrasive.

The policy on quotes like the one you made is being looked into, and debated upon by the mod team as a group. If what I did is deemed to be incorrect, the warning will be revoked. If not, well, at least you'll have the knowledge that it was indeed a team decision and that it isn't simply the opinion of one or two mods.

Upon fairly extensive debate and input from multiple other mods I'm reversing the warning. The reason being that your quote was not truly an alteration upon the intent of the response. As far as you need be concerned it doesn't exist anymore and it will not impact your account in any way.

The jury's still deliberating on the legality of sig quotes, but the consensus seems to be that if a user asks you to take it out and you do not, it may be requested of you and if you fail to remove it it will be removed by force on the grounds of harassment.

Regardless of what you make of the person that you quote, please respect their wishes when it comes to quotes that make them uncomfortable in your signature. What may seem amusing or harmless to you can come across as very uncomfortable and extremely insulting to someone else. It's not a pleasant situation to be in.
