Where the laser made an impact, that part cracked off the island. It didn't fall off, it just.. eerily floated. "Come on, get up here in the sky! Being on the ground is for slow-mos." Metal taunted, pretending to sit on a chair in the sky.

He said as his fingers and claws sharpened automatically. He then lurched slowly towards MK, though he looked as if he was dying to kill something.
