Lisa blinked. It wasn't often that a young man came into the shop actually knowing what he wanted, let alone what the person he was buying for liked. Was this a sign that he was a charming, adorable guy who was single only because of his desire to meet the right person instead of accepting all the women who carelessly threw themselves at his feet? She scoffed inwardly. That was about as likely as him taking her away himself.
"We... do have Gilded Roses. They're pricey, I do have to say, but nothing is ever too pricey to be the perfect gift, right?" Lisa turned upon her heel with a charming little smile to the display case behind her. There were the more intricate, genetically altered flowers, mostly lilies and roses. In just a moment, she was back at the counter holding one of the more perfect Gilded Roses.
"If you hold it in the light," she said, turning it towards the window with her trained little fingers, "It seems more red with golden tones. But more in the shadows, and it looks vice versa."

He smiled and very gently plucked the rose from her hands, finger tips brushing against hers for a scant moment. He held it to the light and admired it, before nodding. " Yes, these will do quite wonderfully. May I get a bouquet set of them please?" He asked, handing it gently back to her and and rummaging in his coat for money.

Well, he certainly must have had money to buy a bouquet of the things, to be sure. Regardless of her suspicions that he may not be able to afford them, she rang up twelve Gilded roses, and displayed the price upon the screen. "That'll be 150 credits. Vase or no?" she asked, already turning to get their entire stock of the rare blooms from the case.
Every time she opened the glass doors, the chill always caught her by surprise. Such a controlled temperature, and it never ceased to cut right through her body. How could the conditions required to maintain the beauty they sold be so uncomfortable? "It'll be 175 credits if you'd like them arranged..."

" Vase please, that blue one over there." Aiden said, jutting his chin at a rather expensive one. " And arranged would be great." He smiled at her, which soon had a mischievous tilt to it. " I also need a single flower for this really lovely girl I know, but I'm not sure what to get her.." He adopted a thoughtful expression, grinning inwardly. " What's your favorite one?"

Dammit. There was the catch she was waiting for. He wasn't single... and if he really was, then he was already in the process of pursuing someone. There went her latest dream of the day.
But Lisa didn't show her disappointment. She merely retrieved everything she needed to begin arranging in front of him, in case there was something in particular he wanted done. "My favorite is the blue narcissus," she said, green eyes glancing up at him after she managed to get a longer rose in the bunch. "It smells like a carnation, and changes hue with the humidity... always blue, but you could be surprised how many shades there can be in one sitting."
Lisa adjusted, plucked, turned... "If she's sensitive to smells, I wouldn't recommend it." There. Each petal was turned in just the right fashion. She had even thrown in some small white Pearling Drops for effect, just as a compliment. "Ribbon?" she asked offhandedly, as if it really could add beauty to it.

Aiden shook his head with an easy smile. " No, that'll be fine." He bobbed his head amiably and admired her work as she went to fetch the blue flower. " You do great work.." He murmured, running a finger tip along a petal.

"Thank you." Seeing he had fetched the flower she'd mentioned, she threw that into the bunch as well. "180 credits in all..." As she waited for the payment, Lisa had to give a smile, easy smile. "I've worked here ever since I was sixteen. things like this come naturally by now. But yeah, thank you."
Not that she didn't appreciate the compliment, but when you heard such things every single day, it became as ridiculous as someone telling you that you breathe very well. "Your sister's a lucky girl, by the way. Not many people get bouquets of these things."

Aiden shrugged self consciously. " Well, I love every insane, flighty inch of her." He chuckled softly after that and counted out his credits. " That should do it.." He murmured, handing it over to her and twiddling with the blue flower for a moment, waiting for the right time.

Lisa counted everything out, and, finding that he had given her exact payment, flashed him that smile that came with good customer service. "Alright then, you have a nice day. If anything should happen during transit, just give us a call and we might be able to refund."
Again, she flashed that little, fake smile while rocking on her heels. He was very nice to look at, and was sort of making her nervous... but why wasn't he taking his flowers and just going?

Aiden grinned and nodded. " It's a good thing I know your favorite flower now." He grinned wider at her uncomprehending look, before holding the blue bloom out to her with a flourish. " I've never seen someone give a flower to the flower shop girl..I hope you like it." He beamed at his spontaneous coup and at her face.

Lisa wished the roses would turn gold so she didn't match them so well. "Uh... thanks..." Her hands quickly and anxiously took the little flower from his grasp. Was this all a joke? A flower for the flower shoppe girl... "I'm Lisa," she said quietly, the blush cooling down bit by bit as she examined the flower he'd bought all for her sake.

His smile softened into a gentle one and he watched her watch and examine the flower. " Aiden. It is very nice to make your acquaintance, Lisa." He smiled charmingly. " How does it suit you?" He asked, nodding towards the flower she twiddled in her little fingers.

"Well, you asked me what my favorite was, and you got it for me..." There were a few jealous glances being thrown around. One of the female customers had outright left. Why were people so angry in this world?
"So I'd say it suits me very well." Too well. It was the first flower she'd ever sold in the shop, but that wasn't why she loved it so much. Its smell reminded her of the country side, if it could be called that in this world. Sweet smelling, like freedom. She missed having that.

He smiled, happy that she hadn't labeled him a creep and tossed him out. " Good. Now, Lisa, would it be strange for me to ask for a time you aren't busy in this shop and would like to go out for coffee or something? I know a great place.." He trailed off, surreptitiously crossing his fingers.
