He blinked at the offered hand, and then back up at her as if confirming she was serious before placing his hand in hers and rising from the table as well. "I don't have anybody I'd tell." he assured her, aware of the warmness of her hand in his. "I'd love to go."
His mind was already reeling trying to envision it. He knew Gaia was thrumming with magic, but he'd yet to see anything like the place she'd described for himself.

Tinania smiles as she takes a step towards Zhane. Whispering a address into his ear, she pulls back "You ready, because where not going by normal car..." she knew a quicker way of getting there, it was why she was warning him.
She knew Mermaid Lake would be perfect to see right now, as the moon was full. Her only hope that with the changing of season the leaves weren't falling just yet.

He quirked a brow at her statement, giving an uncertain chuff of laughter. "Okay?" It was not condescending, but it did betray that he wasn't used to such things. He found his wonders in what the surrounding area had to offer, usually, not in enchanted places.
Though the fact he did not let go of her hand allowed for the fact that, whatever she had in mind, he trusted her.

Taking a step closer to him, she touches her forehead against his "Hold on tight, and whatever you do don't let go." with that she closes her eyes and they both vanishes from within the coffee shop. Leaving a small amount of fairy dust floating in the air before it to vanish.
Standing on the shore near the lake, Tinania opens her eyes as she looks towards Mermaid Lake. It never changed, everything about it was still the same. The water was crystal blue, allowing anyone to see into it. There were wish swimming through the water, and if one were lucky they might see a mermaid or two.
Looking towards the waterfall, she chuckles as she remembers that little cave behind it. It was hidden pretty well, but that was the whole point. She was glad to see that the leaves had not fallen from the trees yet, that were on either side of the falls. She remember the times she use to jump from them, this place was so much fun when she was a child.
Turning to look at Zhane, she chuckle "So what do you think?"

He felt his breath catch in his throat as her brow touched his, his hands settling on either of her shoulders. He was about to say something, and then there was a brief sensation of flight and the feeling of his stomach fluttering in his throat.
When he could think straight again, they were no longer in Barton, the warmth and scent of the coffee shop replaced by the cool night air and the mineral scent of water. He drew his forehead from hers, blinking in bewilderment at his new surroundings.
"Holy...." was all he had to say as his mouth dropped slightly agape.

Tinania chuckles as she takes a step away from him. Kicking her shoes off, she takes a few steps into the water before looking back at Zhane, the small amount of wind picks up her hair. Looking back towards the water, she holds her hand out over it.
Slowly, a rather dim glow comes from the water before a mermaid surfaces the water. Her hair was white against the moon, but her eyes being a deep emerald seem to glow. She smiles at Tinania before she looks to the young man "You brought a friend?" the mermaid's voice was very soothing, as if she was singing a lullaby.
Tinania smiles before she nods "Niliera, meet Zhane. Zhane, this is Niliera. She is just one of the many that live in this lake."

She looked like a creature in a dream as she looked back over her shoulder at him and he felt himself start to move toward her, paused only by the surfacing of the pale-haired mermaid.
His eyes felt as wide as saucers, and he hoped they didn't look as such. He lifted a hand, his fingers flexing in a small wave. "Hi..." he said to Niliera.
This entire place was amazing....even if it made him feel a bit like a fish out of water. He wanted to see all of it at once, and just couldn't. His head reeling a bit, giving him a giddy sort of rush, he decided to follow Nani's example, stopping to remove his shoes to join her in the water.

Tinania giggles before she vends down alittle, splashing water at Zhane. Looking back at Nili, she smiles to the mermaid "Think it would be alright to show him?" her wings flutter before folding behind her. She watches the mermaid as she looks over Zhane.
After a moment, the mermaid swims towards Zhane, lifting out of the water. Reaching towards Zhane, Nili place her hand on his kiss before kissing his forehead. At that moment, a warm feeling would race through Zhane before it would seem to fade.
Slipping back into the water Nili smiles to Nani before nodding "I think so, that is if he can swim to get there." with that the mermaid sinks back under the surface. Tinania smiles before she looks back towards Zhane "Ready to see something that will top every adventure you have been on?"

He reached up to touch where he'd been kissed, the area still cool to the touch from the mermaid's lips, before he looked to Nani.
"I think so." he said, giving a nervous chuckle. "I HOPE so..." he corrected himself. It was all too much, but in a good sort of way. He found he wanted to see whatever she wanted to show him about this place. The pond (and its inhabitants) alone already DID trump most of the places he'd explored, but if there was more...
He stepped closer, ready to follow.

Tinania smiles before she nods, taking a few more steps into the water she looks back at Zhane "That kiss you got, will help you breathe underwater. But it only works on this lake, so don't try it anywhere else. Come on Zhane." with a laugh, she dives under the water swimming a few few outwards before resurfacing.
She was close to the waterfall, just floating there as the moon dances over the lake. The distance was alittle away, but worth it as far as she was concern.
It was the one thing she missed about home, all the wonders her mother's land had to offer.

He hesitated only a moment before wading in after her until the cool caress of the water was up to his waist. Emboldened by Tinania, he drew in a breath and plunged below the surface, swimming forward a short distance before surfacing and nearly bumping into her in the process, not realizing he'd gotten so close.
Reaching up to smooth a few sodden strands of bangs out of his eyes, he blinked the water out of them. "Where're we going?" he asked, his voice low in case, even here, it was some sort of secret.

Tinania smiles then looks towards the waterfall "Under the waterfall, you see, this lake is alot deeper. But to normal eyes, it just a regular lake. We have to swim a distance, its why the ability to breathe underwater. Just in case you need to stop." looking back at him, she lifts her hand to brush some of his wet hair from his face "Just follow me okay?"
With that, she slips back under the water. Her body was graceful as she moves towards a rather large opening. A faint glowing coming from it as she moves closer. Pausing, she looks back toward Zhane as she didn't want to lose him.

He barely had time to react to her touch before she was gone beneath the water again. Drawing in a breath, he followed suit, struggling a bit at first to follow her, knowing how to swim but not getting to do it very often.
As he followed after her, pulling himself through the water with his arms, his lungs began to burn with the breath he was holding. He knew she'd SAID he could breathe underwater if he needed to, but it was another thing entirely to actually do it.
As his head began to swim, however, he realized he quickly was not going to be given a choice about the matter as his breath left him in a shimmer of silver bubbles and he drew in a lungful of....well, it may have been water, but it FELT like air. He paused, inhaling and exhaling a few times, letting this sink in, but not for too long.
With a kick of his legs, he followed her deeper.

Watching Zhane, she was glad to see he didn't try to hold his breath any longer. Pointing towards the cave, she slips into it following after the light. Around them, small fish seem to be dancing around them, or in Tinania's case playing with her.
She giggles as one spins around her in a circle then continues on. Pausing, she floats there again before looking back at Zhane. Her wings unfold, to catch the light. This causes shimmers of light to dance all over the cavern walls as she holds her hand out towards Zhane.
Turning alittle, she motions towards the light that seems to be growing brighter, they were almost towards the end of the cavern tunnel.

He reached for her outstretched hand, drawing back a bit as a small fish took it upon itself to swim directly into his face, tickling under his nose and over his ears in a mad silver dash several times before leaving him be.
He felt himself grin in spite of himself, giving a slight swat at the water, though it would have been nowhere near fast enough to catch the little thing.
With it gone, he placed his hand in hers proper, watching the fractured light of the deep water shimmer and dance over both her and her wings. If they looked like jewels before, they looked even moreso like them now.
They must have also been decievingly powerful for as delicate as they appeared. In trying to spread his own wings, he found them pressed firmly to his back by the pressure of the current.
