((lol, nicely done smile ))

Kayel had never seen a wyvern, and had only seen drawings and images of dragons before.
What a day! He realised just how much he had experienced in only a day's time. He'd entered a city with crowds larger than anything he'd ever seen, been through a 'market' that over-stimulated his senses to the point where he thought he would faint, encountered new forms of races that he'd only heard about in stories, or not heard of at all, made it through a life-threatening fight and laid eyes on a mythical creature, the likes of which he'd always wanted to see.
"Is... that... a dragon?" He blurted out at the wyvern's rider.
His fatigue was beginning to affect his speech. Again his balance failed him, his feet came out from beneath him and he landed on his backside with a thud. He saw his other sword lying beside him, realising he'd almost forgotten about it after he'd disarmed Kurt, he sheathed it.

((GAH! terrible writing sweatdrop . I've got writer's block at the moment.))

Jayger

Jayger let out a sigh as the young man asked such a stupid question. As he saw him fall down he walked over to Kayel and offered his hand to help him up.
"Yes, it is a dragon. They live in the mountains not to far from here, so I'm going to guess you're not from around here." After he helped the man up he walked back over to the wyvern and patted it on the head again. "I've been with him nearly my whole life, the king has many wyvern riders at his comand, I am the leader of Azure Wyvern's, an elite wyvern rider troop." He grabbed the harness on the dragon and pulled himself up effortlessly back into the sattle. "If you would come with me, I'm sure the king would like to meet you, and personally thank you for taking out these criminals."

Mireille shivered as gusts of air from the dragon’s wings sent cold air rushing across her skin. The Noomar gave a half irritated glance in the direction of the dragon and its rider, before she realized what it was. When she saw the duo, she stepped away a little in awe. She had only ever heard stories of her distant cousins who were supposed to live in the mountains—a story no longer, as the King’s Rider had proved.

“I ha’ heard.” She began, “That it takes a special kinda person to ride a drag—wyv’n. That ya have to connect…that it’s a fa’ more difficult, yet rewa’ding task than it seems. There were many legends in the Ishlessa that spoke of ya kind,” Mee said, now speaking to the dragon itself. “I wonder if they were all true…” Paying attention to the group now she addressed them, “If I were ya, I’d take the man up on ‘is offer. It’s not ev’ry day that ya get an invitation like this’un. I should like to go wi’ ya, if only to see the friends of this ma’velous wyv’n.”

((Will do Tigress))

Kayel was grateful for the hand up. He listened to the speaking noomar, it had a strange accent, one he'd never encountered before.
"Uh, well I guess I'll go with you then. It isn't too far too the palace from here." Kayel's awareness began to return and he recognised the constant hum of noise the citizens of Molara made, as they went about their daily business. He guessed that the arena had closed for the day. "Although I need to rest soon, I have been without sleep for over a day now and the shock of visiting Molara for the first time is... almost exhausting."
This city is such a noisy place. He realised. How can anyone sleep here?

Erelafay stayed quiet when the dragon rider arrived. His green hair was surprising...as for his dragon...the drow made a step forward towards the beast and bent, a low, deep bow. Then she rose and her silver eyes were glowing as if being next to a mystical creature as such was revealing the uniqueness of her own race. She did not care about the king and his honor...but if that meant the opportunity of seeing such a beautiful creature, she would come without a doubt.

It looked like the group all agreed on following the man. For the first time since he landed, she turned to the rider. "I shall follow too." she started, but the ton of her voice showed that she had not finished. "But may we know first the name of the Knight, Leader of Azure Wyvern's, who came to us?" she asked, her silver eyes now on Jayger. Everything in this man was proving him to be a Knight and not a low ranked one and yet his manners...The only time she had met a Knight, the first thing he had said was his name. Why was this man keeping his name unknown? Traveling alone had made her a little paranoid that was for sure.

Jayger

"Of coarse, where are my manners?" Jayger's voice was flat as it had always been, and he didn't seem to even care. "I am Jayger Kishi." He gave a quick salute, as if it was just a natural mrchanical motion he had been taught to do. "I am glad to hear you all are coming, please follow me, and you will be able to rest once we are done." He spoke to his dragon in a strange tounge, telling it to return to the castle, but to walk so the people following could them. The wyvern follded its wings back and began walking through the streets, the cowds quickly splitting to let the large beast through.

Current Setting and Weather:

The sun is beginning to set and the night promises to be a cold one. The group of travellers is about to enter the royal palace. The palace has tall, stone walls, with richly decorative crimson and gold banners hanging from the battlements. Fully armed and armoured guards patrol the walls and the massive steel gates before the group have just been opened.

((Hope nobody minds the sudden change of setting smile ))

Kayel couldn't believe his eyes. The castle that stood before him was a truly magnificent sight.
This city is full of wonders! He realised.
The royal palace was a heavily decorated and well-defended fort. Catapults were placed on many towers, men were patrolling everywhere, the occasional battle mage could be seen standing at attention and the guard barracks were just outside the walls.
Although the palace had heavy fortifications and very serious guards everywhere, its designers had managed to create an enchanting and beautiful castle. This was achieved with the help, no doubt, of the nearby University of Magical Lore. The renowned school of mages, witches, magicians and wizards alike.
The plant life, within the palace's walls, was thriving, with exotic and flamboyant flowers arranged in strange patterns, flowering vines climbed the palace and its towers, the pond before the palace's entrance was dotted with many brightly coloured, floating flowers and some plants even had glowing petals. Animals were everywhere, small hairy critters darted under the shade of the flora, a great variety of birds sang and danced through the air, a small family of deer were grazing on some of the dark green, moist grass.
A short, plump man, with a balding pallet, was walking towards the group.
"Ah, Jayger Kishi." The man didn't even seem to notice the wyverns or Jayger's followers. "If you would, please follow me. His majesty is currently preoccupied, but you are fortunate that he will be able to see you soon."

((Not at all...that's a good idea smile ))

Erelafay bowed back. Maybe she had thought to hastily of him. After all he seemed civil enough, maybe not friendly, but mission focused and acknowledging his mistake. She followed, her gaze on the dragon.

As the sun set and the moon rose, the drow felt a little more relaxed. She allowed her eyes to wander from one companion to the other and from the city to the castle, which dark walls were growing closer and closer. The building was impressive indeed, but she did not feel comfortable in such an environment. She was used to nature, open spaces. Walls meant lose of freedom for the woman, but she followed anyway.

As a man greeted them or rather greeted the soldier, she paused. What did the plump man mean by 'you'? Jayger? The group? But more, what was the king preoccupied by? The drow stepped forward to the short man, with a graceful movement, she pushed a side of her cape on her shoulder, revealing her armor and shapes. She gave him a beautiful smile yet shy and apologizing. "Excuse my question Sir, but what is the cause of our King's preoccupation?" Curiosity was not her only purpose, she had heard rumor...rumor of a shadow...and she wondered if the King's worries could be linked to this...shadow.

The daylight faded, night overtook the skies, and Mee shivered violently. Her earlier toughness vanished as the chill set in for the cold-blooded Noomar. She looked up at the back of the green wyvern, wondering how on earth he could handle the cold. Quickly she unwrapped what looked to be an plain black overskirt from around her waist, and cast it over her shoulders, pushing her arms through the sleeves. The skirt was actually a warm wool coat that covered her down to her scaled, sandaled feet. The only part of her that showed was her face and hands, which, unfortunately, could still indentify her as a Noomar, and an outlander, just as much as her accent could. She hoped this king that they were about to see (if he wasn’t too busy, apparently) didn’t mind a little diversity.

Once the party was inside the walls of the castle, Mee was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful flora and fauna that surrounded her. While she normally would have stayed behind to enjoy this bit of nature, she was more concerned at the moment with the Wyvern and his rider and where they were going because if they weren’t going to see the king, then neither was she. It was for her, as though she had discovered that a fairy tale was true, and she didn’t want to let it leave so soon. She tapped her foot a little, the only sign that she could barely contain herself from harassing the Wyvern-rider—er, Jayger—with many, many questions

The man blinked, seeming a little stunned that Erelafay had spoken to him.
"Ahem!" He seemed to exaggerate the volume with witch he cleared his throat. "I do not believe his majesty would be pleased for me to discuss his private affairs with all those who passed within the palace's walls. Now, if you would, please follow me." With that, the short man turned and began hurriedly walking towards the palace.
Kayel didn't have to try hard to keep up with the man's short paces. The guards standing by the palace's main entry dipped their heads and stepped aside for the group of newcomers.
"Bah..." Kayel's mouth opened wide with his surprise. "This is amazing!"
The interior of the palace was extravagantly decorated, paintings with golden frames hung from the walls, a marble staircase lead to the upper storey of the entry hall, exotic and fine-grained woods made the furniture and the hides of some foreign and beautiful furs covered them. Kayel felt a pang of sorrow that such animals had been hunted, probably for nothing more than the value of their hides.
The carpet the group walked upon, as they ascended to the top of the marble staircase, was incredibly detailed and finely woven, the patterns were coloured in the gold and crimson of the royal house.
The strangers were lead down a lavishly decorated hall and into a room that seemed almost detached from the rest of the palace. The sandstone floor, walls and roof were bare, except for a few plants that climbed the walls beside the opened holes that acted as windows and allowed the interiors to be naturally illuminated. The flowers on the vines emitted a small glow, lighting the room in a very faint shade of light blue in the absence of the sun. A Stone statue of a beautiful woman, holding a vase that poured water into a pool, was the only decoration in the room, other than a few sandstone benches that had been provided for sitting.
"The king shall see you shortly in person." The short man stressed the last part of that sentence, before he left through the door he had lead them through.
Kayel took a seat on one of the benches. "Well this should be interesting." He said aloud, to anyone who would listen.

Jayger

Jayger nodded to the man as he spoke to his dragon in draconic again. It nodded to him in response and took off into the sky, before it got to high up Jayger did a flawless dismount and fell the few feet back to the ground, landing almost silently, he had obviously done this many times before.
"If the king wishes to share his stories he will when he meets us." Jayger said in responce to the drow's question. He then turned to follow the small man into the castle. He kept great composure as he walked, and didn't turn to look at anything but what was straight ahead of them. Once they reached the area where they were to wait Jayger simply stood at atention, silent and still as a statue by the door, awaiting the kings arrival.

In a nearby corner of the room stood a gigantic form, its dark green skin partially hidden under what little shadow there was in the room. His red eyes opened, glowing brightly; only the right one was truly visible to any who might have been looking in his direction. The massive troll pushed himself off of the wall and took a few steps towards the troupe, his feet moving with surprising grace for such a large being. He had no swagger to his step, he did not lumber slowly along, but instead moved swiftly with head held high and shoulders squared. Trolls did not believe in fear and gracelessness, they believed in honor and confidence; Tilek was far from an exception to this.
"Wha' be bringin' ya heere?" His deep voice was rough, almost scratched in sound with a deeper growl to it that was obviously natural. His accent was typical of his tribe. The question, despite the slightly threatening sound that his voice always held, was delivered with a friendly tone and welcoming smile upon his face. He was standing not but a few meters from the group, considering the diversity without curiosity; he had often seen such varied matches traveling together during his time on the sea. Though he had never before met a Noomar, as they were not known for taking to the great waters, tales of them had certainly left the land of Firistae and he knew what Mireille was.
