I also hope that you could choose the chapter
Like if you chose Black Templars all of the marines would be BT

I would like to note that I thought the same thing going into Fallout 3 and the VATS system. However, I've not gotten tired of it yet. It can get a bit old at times, but that's mostly because it will spend time showing the corpse flailing around while other enemies run up and smack you in the face. (Note that this is a rare exception.)

I'd say that the odds are pretty good that GW will either use the Ultramarine (2nd?) for the game, or they'll use their constant fallbacks, the Blood Ravens.

I'd say that the odds are pretty good that GW will either use the Ultramarine (2nd?) for the game, or they'll use their constant fallbacks, the Blood Ravens.That marine looks like a smurf to me. Besides, the boys in blue need to take back the screentime from those blood raven losers.

well, the ultrasmurfs are GW's tabletop Iconic Thing, whereas the Blood Ravens are their Game Iconic Thing, so it seems pretty likely that even if it is ultrasmurfs, if there is a chapter chooser, then the BR will be in it.
i personnally would like to see the Space Sharks or Rainbow Marine chapters in there. (both completely official GW chapters from a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...)

My thought: If you buy the PC edition, it won't be too long before people start releasing mods where you can change the colors and chapter livery of the marine.

I heard about this awhile back. I'm happy to see a new 40k third person shooter. I have high-hopes for it, and believe it will get better as time goes on. (I hope they fix the boltgun for one thing...)

Nowhere near powerful enough. It was taking upwards of four shots to kill Guardsmen at POINT BLANK.

Nowhere near powerful enough. It was taking upwards of four shots to kill Guardsmen at POINT BLANK.Maybe he was just making bad rolls and was failing to wound every time. xp

You seem to forget games such as Chaos Gate, Final Liberation, Fire Warrior, and even the DoW Winter Assault expansion. None of these games had blood ravens. The Ultramarines were there in force, though. Yep, looks like the Blood Ravens are confined to Relic games.

but isnt "DOW" made by relic as well as THQ though?
and as this is another venture of THQ's, it seems reasonable to think that the Blood Raven's will be included

Yeah. Of THQ's four most recent games (counting independent campaigns as independent games) it's 3:1 of Blood Ravens over Ultrasmurfs. Never know, though. Maybe they'll decide that another chapter needs the spotlight for a time as you plod through hordes upon hordes of Chaos...apparently alone...
