A Meeting Etched by the Stars

The thickness of dawn did nothing but protect the lands, the fog flowing in a thick blanket through the trees. Light grew distorted from the overcast above, and the winds died with each breath that came from his mouth. Orion found himself entranced with the morning glow, the fog drifting around his dark form as a deep cloud puffed from his lips. There was nothing better in his opinion than wandering between the trees, a serene hunt for the spirits of the lands.

For as long as he could remember, Orion filled his times with his tasks of meeting the nymphs, something any satyr was known to do frequently. With his darker looks and lilac eyes, the male was quite proud of his skills, despite the lack of results. Finally within his sanctuary, the male satyr cracked his knuckles and pulled a hand through his hair.

"...the fog is rising..." His wisp of a voice filtered through the woods, vibrating across each tree as the echo brushed back onto his ears. Stilling his movement with one last dusty clop, the satyr flicked his long ear a moment before crossing his furred arms with a deep huff. It was at that moment that his intoned hearing picked up a new sound, the sound of a figure brushing through water.

Interest peaked at that moment; he looked to where he caught the first echo before moving once more towards the fogged trees, eyes darkening ever so slightly. It took only a matter of minutes for him to travel through the dark forest, his wide ears easily picking up on the sound and the laughter of the creature before him. The trail was set, and the pace easy for the satyr as his mind made up images of what it might be. Of course it could have been just an animal, or even a Satyr just as he, but instead the dreams formed into the figured of surreal beauties, their hair flowing down their bodies as their forms consisted of miles of curve.

Pausing a moment, the male let out a soft shutter, always one for the fantasy of a 'perfect woman' and always one to dream of the day he could brush his hands across a nymph of the forest. Snapping the lilac eyes open with a smirk, he moved to the right and set his clawed hand on the tree, his hand curling into it slightly as the wood dragged in reaction.

Before his eyes was a creature of his dreams, though maybe not the most ideal one that participated in his fantasies. Her skin was fair and smooth, slimmed across a body to show off the curves despite the strange tattered cloth that was wrapped around her body. Her hair was long and flowing, like the waters she drifted her fingers through and the spring that ran through the clearing.

The area was cleared around the spring, a large enough space lacking in trees where a small house could be built. Being close to the edge of Barton Woods, Orion knew that it would be an idea place for a cottage, being easily accessible to most of the towns in the area. If he were to step out and go east, he would come quickly upon Barton town by nightfall, and yet if he was to go west, it would take a day or more to get to Durem, though it wasn’t too far.

Turning his thoughts back onto the female before him, Orion shifted lightly before a slow smirk crossed his features, dark bangs drifting down to his cheeks. She was not the best pick in his mind, in fact she looked too young for even his standards, but she was the only nymph he could find, and thus the only choice he had.

Pulling back the leaves and sauntering in, the male Satyr smirked still as he noted the nymph keep her head bowed. It was almost as if she was spacing out and had no clue that another walked into her ‘realm’.

"Hem-hem," he coughed out a moment later, his furred fist coming up to cover his mouth so it appeared as if he were clearing his throat. Standing still, he just let his eyes close for a moment and his ears perk, waiting for her gasp of surprise or laughter. However, nothing came and he soon opened his eyes to just see her starring in the water once more, hand unmoving and eyes entranced. Moving closer still, he glanced into the clear waters and saw nothing, biting his lip at the creature before stepping behind her and leaning over her petit form.

"So..." He said lowly, settling both of his hands on her shoulders and almost jumping himself at her sudden reaction. All at once, she was standing up and pushing him back, his form stumbling at the flare in her dark brown eyes.

"How dare you!" The tone she took with him was nothing of a yell, but more of a dull hiss, one that was strong in its own way, "Can you not tell that I was doing something, or do you always feel up others every chance you get?" Stepping closer to his form, he couldn’t help but let his jaw fall open at her words, blinking and having no clue as to how to answer.

All at once, she lifted her hand and a sharp snap cracked through the area, his cheek flaming as his head swiveled under the force. Lifting one of his clawed hands, he looked back only to see her petit form stalking away, before all at once she was melting into the waters before his eyes.

"W-wait!" Rushing over, he tried to grab her but all he got was water, and she was ********>
