Haha!!! Its the same with me, altough im not korean, chinese or japanese i often get always mistaken to be one of them. That makes me get mad.....they just talk with out thinking as if like every asian is the same...anyway i wont get angry if people try to learn my language or speak it...in fact i would be honoured that someone is trying to learn my language^^

geese once i was in florida visiting my grandparents and their apartment place has a public pool and we went there, and when we were leaving these two other girls were like whispering and looking at me and my bro and i heard them say
"looks she's chinese"
i was too young to care then, but now it ticks me off

but we shouldnt be rude or anything~
its just a stereotypical remarks
but we cant say anything bad about the other races out there because we too are filled with stereotypical remarks
so dont hate too much on those people~

[K!tKat] I only get insanely irritated by Americans who try to speak/write in EFFIN JAPANESE!
I get offended by this because more than half the reason why people want to immitate Japs is cause of the anime alone. If they actually appreciated the Jap culture, it wouldn't be much of a problem for me. Seriously, it's annoying when white people go around eating packaged ramen and pocky thinking that they're being totally cool when Japanese people don't eat those things at all! *at least not 24/7*

I think it's nice when non-Korean Americans try to speak/write in Korean because it's a somewhat underrated language compared to most Asian languages.
Also, it makes me crack up when Americans say Bulgogi...BEWL GOE GEEEEE...xD I have a friend who tries to speak and write Japanese when, she's hispanic, and sometimes it gets a bit (well a lot) overboard...I am not trying to be racist, just sharing my experience... 3nodding

Hmm, my boyfriend is Korean, and he very much encouraged me to learn , but that might just be becuase he thinks it sexy to hear me speak it to him durring those "special times". I'm very shy to speak it to native speakers though. So far when I talk to people in like the super market I've been complemented on my accent and my proper ussage of the language. Everyone has been pretty nice to me so far. I had no idea people didn't like it when non Koreans spoke Korean or wrote Hangul.

There are white people all over my school, wearing Neko hats, greeting each other like "MICHAEL-KUN!" or "JENNIFER-CHAN!"
Does it make me a jerk to think that these people are annoying and should get...I dunno...LIVES?

haha this thread is so hypocritical... what language are we writing in now? What makes the korean language ours then if we don't even type in korean in here. Why do we speak english instead of korean... English isn't "our" language. Non asians learning, speaking, writing an asian language is just like us learning english, spanish, etc. Japanese is not "my" language but i can speak and write it... same with english and spanish.
