socks listened with interest at what sarah and abel told him. "oh, you wanna have babies? i love babies, they're me-sized!" he pranced around in a circle, wagging his stumpy tail. "ooh, i wanna help! i'm really good at hide and seek, i wanna help you find everything you need! for the babies!" he pondered the ingredients. he had heard of mushrooms and flowers and berries, but he wasn't sure if he knew what any of the specific kinds they needed were.
"um.....but do you know where we go to get them? i dunno if i've ever seen a... whatcha-hoody mushroom before. or youberries." he thought for a moment, and thought he recalled something. "jewel flowers, jewel flowers...well, my auntie 'bella says that the flowers around my napping spot look as pretty as jewels, maybe those are it? and there are lots of 'um all around! i jus' dunno how to get back there, i kinda wasn't paying attention to how i got here." he nervously grinned. "miz pie lady, if you help me find the path back home then i'll be back as quick as you can spit with lotsa flowers, as many as i can carry!"

Wandering close by was Morgana, deciding to go to the river to get a few crawdads to feed on, her basket of clams clutched tightly in her maw. She pushed her way through the brush and stopped when she spotted the little black bob and the two otters, one Angelic and one Demonic. She recognized the Angelic immediately and her ears perked as she heard the conversation and what they were needing.
She slowly approached, the basket slowly swinging back and forth, part of the blankets coming off the clams and then she set it on the grass, "May I help you two?" she asked.

((delayed reaction XD))
Hazel peered after the group as they trundled off, rheumy eyes squinting into the dark. When at last they'd disappeared, she nodded. "Yes. I think they'll do just nicely."

Lovett smiled and nodded at Socks "Of course, I 'ave a keen nose I'm sure if you lead the way to your 'ome I can lead us right back! We aren't too far from me shop either." She was happy for the bobs help and her heart was flooded with hope, she gazed at Abel and grinned.
With a soft nuzzle for her mate and a murmur of 'good luck love' she turned to head off with the bob. She halted before she could get too far away and peered at the basket clutching angelic female. Well now she was a pretty sight, and the basket held something within? Lovett slipped a bit closer with a smile "'Elp would be nice...I'm Mrs Lovett." She introduced herself and glanced at Abel to be certain they could take the nice otters offer of assistance.

Abel smiled cheerily at the little bob's enthusiasm, gently nuzzled his love back, elated that she was happy now, and downright grinned at Morgana's appearance. He approached her, friendly-like and nodded his head in greeting. "It would be much appreciated, Morgana. And I see you've got your own little family started already," he said happily, taking a glance at the contents of the basket. He glanced up and tilted his head a bit. "Might you know of any of those items? I'm sure I know where the lilies and yewbushes are, but the others escape me."

Morgy tapped her chin thoughtfully with her paw, clearly thinking. "I think I know about the mushrooms. Would one of you be willing to watch my clams while I am away, it can't take them that deep into the forest." she said, looking between Abel and Ms. Lovett.

happy that he had the company of the elder otter on his journey, socks bounced a little in place. he then noticed morgana approach with her basket of clams. "hiiii miz morgana! guess what? imma help miz pie lady and mr. pie man get their babies!" he bounded up to her and peered into her basket. "and yay, you brought your own babies along too! dun worry, we'll be back quick as bunnies, soon as we get lots of jewely-weeds for the medicine!"
he headed back towards sarah, and peered all around the clearing until he spotted a small area in the grass and shrubs that looked matted down. he approached and sniffed at the fauna. he instantly recognized his sent, and turned excitedly back towards the otter. "miz pie lady, miz pie lady, i think i've found it!" he raced down the path as fast as his stubby little legs could carry him, stopping every few moments to look behind him. "hurry up miz, hurry up!"

"Um..." Abel began and turned to his mate. Sarah looked well into getting ready to go off and help the little bobcat, which left him. "I suppose I can. I need time to remember where the yewbush I saw was, anyways," he began, smiling and nodding to the first other winged otter he had met ever, beside his brother and sisters. He moved close and wrapped himself around the basket, draping his wing carefully over the basket so that it didn't touch the clams, but successfully covered them. "I guess I need the practice, anyways."

Lovett followed the enthusiastic little bobcat, but she threw a look of longing over her shoulder at Abel crouched protectively over the clams. She would hurry back to help him watch over the little ones. She scampered after Socks and smiled as she heard him far up ahead.
"Coming!" It seemed the quest for jewelweed would be easily taken care of with his help. She smiled as she came up next to the bob and followed at his quicksilver pace.

Morgana watched the little bob and Ms. Lovett head off and she looked to Abel and smiled in thanks, "Thank you, I shall try not to be too long. And don't worry if they start making a small fuss, they will calm down once they get used to your presence." she said. She turned and trotted off, and then flapped her large wings and took to the sky, disappearing into the forest. A few moments later, small cries of barks, peeps and chirps could be heard from the clams.

Abel matched the love on Sarah's face and visibly blanched when the clams started making various noises. He knew absolutely nothing about babies, much less why they would be making such a fuss... other than that his scent was definitely unfamiliar to them. All he could think to do would be what his mentor had done when he first came to him. First it was just a soft hum, but slowly it grew into softly sung words. "Silent night... holy night. All is calm, all is bright... Round yon virgin, mother and child... Holy infant so tender and mild... Sleep in heavenly peace. Sleep in heavenly peace..." he sang softly, his voice low, gentle. He actually had a fairly god singing voice, something he himself wasn't exactly aware of. Oh, he felt he sang decently, but he didn't know that he was actually a rather good singer.

The squeaking and barking went on for a few moments more before they started to quiet down, the pups in the clams listening to the sound of his voice. Soon enough, all three little wings were fluttering up and down in joy, quite enjoying the song and his voice.

"yee, let's go!" he bounced up the trail excitedly. he had to force himself to slow down once of twice when he almost tripped over his own feet. as he whipped down the path, he started to spot familiar sights, and picked up on smells he could recognize immediately.
"we're here, miz pie lady, we're here!" he called over his shoulder as he broke through the last patch of grass and spotted his napping spot. he led sarah to a clump of the bulbous red, orange and yellow flowers growing on the far side of a shady tree. "see, here they are! the jewely weeds! this is what you needed, right?" even before hearing her response he started gnawing at the base of the flowers and wedging as many stems underneath his collar as he could fit.

Lovett smiled and nodded watching the eager little bob gather up the flowers that she coveted for the hope they brought. She would remember to fix the feline a special pie when she got a chance. She helped him to clip and gather the flowers using her claws and tucking them beneath his collar.
"There, a whole bunch!" She smiled and nuzzled Socks with affection before turning to guide him back to where Abel waited.
She glanced behind her to ensure the bob followed and grinned as she spotted her mate up ahead. Her ears perked and she smiled softly slowing down to listen as he sang to the clams nestled within the basket.

It took Morgana a little longer and a little further to fly then she would have liked. She had went into the deepest part of the forest, where predators liked to stalk and hunt for unsuspecting otters, so she always had to be on her guard. She landed on the ground and sniffed around, finally coming to a moss covered log and looking inside. She gasped happy at the sight of the mushrooms inside and she looked about for something to carry them in, so she didn't have to have them in her mouth.
She found a bush with large leaves and she went and picked a strong one off. She brought it to log and set it down, and she carefully picked off a few with her paws, setting them down on the leaf. Once she figured she had enough, she folded the leaf up as best she could and gripped it closed with her mouth, turning away from the log.
She flapped her wings and took off, easily steering away from branchs and leaves. She was starting to get tired, not used to flying for long periods of time, but her urge to get back to her clams overrode her need to rest, so she continued to push on.
Soon she came back to the area where she had left Abel with her basket, happy to see him still there and that Ms. Lovett and the bob had come back. She landed a distance away, but trotted up with the leaf still clutched in her mouth.
