hehe i thought this was pretty funny. the only time Mr. York ever got on to us about something offensive, one of our freshman flutists (real tiny, about 4'9") said she was going to kick our solo snare drummer in the balls. haha all the band director did was say "Excuse me?!" and laugh. My band directors the greatest!!! he thinks i'm gay too. "TJ, quit talking gay!" hehe so he lets us say anything really

Commencement
You say that during band and you're dead. Same if you mention or play "Pomp and Circumstance."

During marching season, when we are getting into a set and someone tells you to move and you reply with "This is my spot" our BD will get pissed and tell you off...and if you miss a day of practice you will be chewed out if you go to the BD and ask what your supposed to do...other than that our BDs are too old to understand most of the stuff we laugh at and say XD

No one is allowed to even think about Pomp and Circumstance until the week before graduation. Also, no one is allowed to play, hum, or say the title of Bayou Breakdown. Those who do get mauled, especially by the upperclassmen. And of course, no cussing.

We can say w/e in rehearsal but in uniform we are "ambassadors for the University" so we have to be on our best behavior. Unles of course Dr. Nguyen isn't around then we can say whatever. But the drummers don't like it when you say carpal tunnel. i wonder why that is...

Two words not to be said in a row.
SHUT... UP...
It's both disrespectful and rude!

Mr. West considers swear words trash, so we can't pollute the band room, nor in-uniform. However, we can say in an annoying voice, "Big floppy donkey d*ck in the booty-hole!" Don't ask how that started.

Lost in Wonderland92 During marching season, when we are getting into a set and someone tells you to move and you reply with "This is my spot" our BD will get pissed and tell you off...and if you miss a day of practice you will be chewed out if you go to the BD and ask what your supposed to do...other than that our BDs are too old to understand most of the stuff we laugh at and say XD I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE DO THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! scream scream scream There's a diagonal line I'm in, and I have to tell the 7th trumpet all the time to GET IN OUR DAMN LINE. It's not like an arc, where there could be some error. It's a simple, diagonal line and he won't move forward 2 steps just cause his card says he's on the hash. ******** the hash! IT DOESN'T MATTER. He can't get it into his thick skull that rule number 1 is to MAINTAIN FORM INTEGRITY. /vent >[

Were not aloud to say: "I can't do it", "Pissed", or "grandmother." The reason we can't say grandmother because everyone in my class will say "o, your slower than my grandmother" and all that other stuff!! It's kinda gay, because what's the point!!! anyway, Don't tell my band director I said grandmother!!! rofl
