Slightly.
you could always rp that your soldiers started attacking each other, and the Commanders are usually up front on a horse, or in the back as tactician. I bet most of us will be up front and fighting with the soldiers.

Yeah. I figure that if I would command an army, that's what I would do.

BUT, I have something to run by you real quick.

I'm having Tala wander your way in disguise. Since Cairo is at some point going to go to Fire Nation and have the nobles charge Tala with treason punishable by death, I was wondering if somewhere along the line, Tala and Kiro have a secret wedding that no one knows about (or at least pledge themselves to each other). And then if she could be next to Kiro in battle.

Since she can't fight with her own people ^^

Yay or nay?

Yah.

Anyways, good idea? It makes it so we don't control, and at the same point, don't have all the power in the members as well. Sorta like a middle ground thing where power cna be grabbed from one another =D

Yeah I think it is a great idea. It might have a few people confused, but it can easily be explained. Now how are we going to tell everyone about this? Just announce it or sticky it in the main forum?

Alright guys, without looking at any previous posts or anything

What have you got to show for it so far?

Something Godmode proof? Autohit proof? Anything?
Proj. Oct. Is basically all done except for the actual making of threads
PostPosted: Thu Sep 04, 2008 7:03 pm

In reality, nothing is really godmode or autohit proof. We will just have to monitor that closely like we always do. I feel that our members know that it's wrong and probably find it annoying as well.

The only people I see that might have some issues are The Reaper and Zakura. Mainly because they aren't that dedicated and they seem the type to do it. I'm not so sure about Lord Draik, but I'm never sure about what he is going to do @_@

Kiel came up with a type of system that would give us relative foolproof ability. He can explain it better than I can, but he is basically saying that we should do this through troops.

Kind of like generalization posts.

(I haven't quite gotten a full grasp of it ^^; )

o.o;
Thanks Tala.
Ok, I think the system is good... There are armies that we have. Depnding on the rank of your person, is the army you have, but you don't "Control" it. They are like background things. You can see, describe, interact with them, and you can even describe them attacking, but you don't know how they are going to end up in the battle.

When two armies come together, of course they are going to fight a bit before we fight. So the combatants can describe the battle, and then fight themselves. Unless one/or both is/are going to stand back and just watch o.o;

Then it's basic roleplay battling. Turn-based one-vs-one unless there is more on either side. You can team battle against one person, it's not "Unfair" but most are probably knights and want their "honor". Anyways, That is what we pretty much have.

Yep, and see, I knew all that, but didn't have smart words for it.

Not exactly what I was looking for...but it's a start.

I don't know how to do this
but I want a battle system based off of numbers or something
something easy to use
easy to remember
like...6 beats 4
you start off with so many points
when you lose too many you half to get healed before you die or something
I need something completely fool proof
I don't wanna deal with godmoders again
plus it's no fun if people just keep going at it

the areas need to be won and lost
which won't work if people don't have to pull out of them

Boo number systems....

Okay, so....

have max health points? Like a video game?

something like that yes.
But will the lower ranks have more since they're in more combat?
or should the higher ranks have more?

Should higher or lower ranks be able to deal more damage based of how much the other has in HP?

I don't want to end up in a stale mate, it's completely irratating.

I'll let you guys decide what we should do. Please be done by October 1st

If you need to find me I'll be looking at vampire fangs >.>

Okie dokie.

So I think the higher ranks should have more hit points. Kinda like bosses at the end of a level.

I know what we can do. ^^

Basic roll of the dice thingy. Roll 10 10-sided dice. The higher one wins, and you subtract the difference?

I also think the lower guys should have more health since they are more in the fight... but we also have to think that most of the higher ones, like Dukes and Duchess, should have some nice health as well. So I think we all start off with a basic 100 health and someone else can think about the health differences between classes -.-
PostPosted: Tue Sep 09, 2008 8:22 pm

So staggered health points between the classes? Good idea.

I like the dice idea, but how would that be put into play?

Like:

Jaylen, with sheer brute force, drew back his fist and swung with all his might.

roll: 60

Nathaniel, in desperation, quickly threw up his arms to shield his face from the blow.

roll: 30

So, Jaylen's hit would over power Nathaniel's shield and hit him dead on? Like that?

First post:
Kiro attacked Cairo with his blade. He swung hard, and hoped to hit the same way.

Roll: 55

Cairo tried to parry with his daggers. He then hoped to trade blows with him with his guard down.

Roll: 51

55-51= 4 So Kiro did four (4) damage to Cairo. ^^
