The groundskeeper twiddles with her wand and a long scroll. "Line up, Line up!" she squeaks at the students glaring as best she can manage. The students form a loose line chattering and rough housing handing over permission slips as the groundskeeper tries juggling the slips while marking off who was going off on her long list of eligible student names.

As she lined up with the others, Andromeda compulsively took out the parchment again and turned it over, on the other side of the spare bit of parchment was a list of things she felt like shopping for while in town. Just then a gust of wind blew, and stole the parchment from her hand. "Ah!" She broke out of formation to chase after the paper which was elegantly swirling up and out of her reach.

((It's okay I've been sick...look, it seems like this isn't going to take off. We can push on for a little while longer if you want, but...well I guess HPGoG just isn't a literate roleplay kind of place, what do you think?))

(( If it's only me and you, I suppose that kind of defeats the purpose of having one of these role-play threads around doesn't it? Ah well... my heart isn't into it if there's nobody else. Perhaps this guild just isn't as into role-playing plotty subjects like it used to... ))

[[It may also just be that people don't have time. I would love to join, but I'm not sure I really have the time. I'm also not sure I'd be very good at it. From what I've read of the last couple pages, you all seem rather creative and good at keeping things going. I'm not sure I'd be any good at it, but I'm willing to give it a try if you guys want to continue this RP.]]

((well if Lyra wants to join...what do you girls think? We can take a vote! I don't want you guys to be bored out of your minds, which might happen with too few people or plot movement that is too slow. I really think the plot is worth it, I worked really hard on thinking it up...but I don't want it to be boring or whatever, what do you think girlies?))

The day was unseasonably warm and many students who had ventured out with cloaks or robes down the long trek to the gate and to Hogsmeade beyond were now carrying the black fabrics draped over their arms while trying to tousle with their friends with the other free arm. Only the Slytherins seemed not to be amused by the sudden summery weather and many seemed to try and hunker down into themselves to avoid the sun's glare on their pale skin. Hogsmeade was bustling with activity, the first day with students in town and all the shops were vying for the little spendthrifts' attentions. Third years ran gawking from shop to shop but most were drawn inevitably drawn into Zonk's and Honeyduke's. There were a few teachers on the newly added and adults only upstairs patio of The Three Broomstick's enjoying the sun and the bustle far removed from the wanton ways of youth. Richard sighed, and meandered towards Honeyduke's thought he didn't really have a knut to spare for such confections as were offered there. He had just wanted to be out of the castle. He flushed as guilt overrode him, he did have a lot that needed to be done, but, he reasoned he was only 13 after all...
((and so we continue!! Yes?))

Meanwhile over at Hogwarts... Fearless was stuck at the queue for over fifteen minutes. There seemed to be a lot of people going to Hogsmeade. Fearless thought. Maybe that's what delaying this stupid queue. It's so LOOOOOOOOOOONG. Suddenly, she saw a forth year girl breaking out of the queue to chase a piece of parchment. Fearless recognized her. She often had the same lessons with her as Gryffindor was almost always paired up with Slytherin for most lessons. What's her name? Andro...metra? Umm... Andro...meda, I guess. Fearless thought. "Umm... Andromeda, use your wand!" She shouted over to her. "Like use it for a summoning charm? Accio?"
[[Umm... I'm not sure if 'Meanwhile's are allowed. sweatdrop If it does not suit the context, please inform me and I'll edit my post. Thanks]]

((It is your call, I jumped ahead to Hogsmeade because there had been a long pause in play and I like to try and move the story along, but if you want to stay and talk to Andromeda that is really important too! You do whatever makes you happy!)) The Groundskeeper manages to drop all the permission slips and her wand which rolls away and goes off, sparking purple flames into a group of Hufflepuff 5th years. The Ravenclaw and Gryffindor Prefects finally take pity on the poor clumsy witch and after checking that all the Hufflepuffs are okay help collect the permission slips and work out a system that starts to move the line a good tick faster then before.

"Huh?" Andromeda blinked upon hearing the Gryffindor, and immediately pulled her wand from from her robes, "Oh, right --shoot! How did that spell go again--oh nevermind-- Accio parchment!" She flailed her wand oddly not really remembering how to cast the spell properly. She swore when she noticed the parchment stayed on its course, and she continued to chase after it down the road where the wind was blowing it.

Fearless looked around and tried to spot Andromeda, but did not see her. Oh well... She thought as her friends and her moved up the long line and out of Hogwarts. Finally! Fearless thought as she walked towards Hogsmeade. "Why don't we try Honeydukes? I'm sure there are new shipments of sweets! I'm so gonna buy the sugar quills I missed out on the last trip to Hogsmeade." Fearless heard one of her friends saying. She nodded her agreement and the group started walking towards Honeydukes.

The parchment was just outside Hogsmeade before she finally gave an almighty pounce at it. In a stroke of good luck Andromeda snatched the pesky paper out of the air... aaaand landed face first in a puddle of mud. She quickly sat up to observe the damage. ...the parchment was remarkably free of soil, it could still be read! Her clothes on the other hand were sopping wet, and covered in filth. Andromeda heaved a sigh of relief as she stood up, and strode into town looking absolutely disgusting from head to toe... and accomplished.
