Sunil just shrugged. "I don't know.." He answered. "I'll be back soon," he nuzzled her muzzle and began the tedious trip of climbing up the cliffs to the forest. Not too far in he found a small group of rabbits. He snuck up on one of the larger ones and pounced, barely getting it. Then stuck his catch into a tree hollow and went on the search for more. In the end he had a squirrel and two rabbits, he collected his first and began making his way back to the cave. It'd been a few hours.
Riima was finally ready to wake up. She got up and stretched and noticed that no one else was in the cave. She looked out the door and saw Monroe sitting there alone. "Where's Sunil?" She questioned.

Monroe just sat there, watching the calm ocean and the birds' constant calls. She felt Riima move inside the cave and turned around to face her. "Well, someone's up early." She smiled and walked over to her.

Riima just shrugged and stood up, "what'd I miss?" She questioned yawning.
Sunil decided to take the beach route home, less traffic this way. He was walking in the shallow water of the ocean on his way home.

"Oh well... Y'know how in a way, you're like the daughter I never had." Monroe was desperate for words, how should she put this to a teenage fox? And Riima had just woken up...

Riima look at Monroe sceptically and sat up still with one eyebrow raised.

"And... You like Sunil, right? He's a nice guy, right?" Riima's silence was really unnerving for Monroe. She couldn't possibly live with herself if this went badly.

"Yeah," said Riima, curious now. "What's up?" She asked, "did he decide to leave or something?" She continued playfully.

"Quite... The opposite..." Monroe smiled coyly, lowering her head just a little with the familiar feeling of a blush burning her cheeks once more.

Riima giggled. "Did you confess your true love?" She asked loudly, falling over laughing.

Monroe grinned, relieved. At least she took it well. "You wouldn't know 'cause you were sleeping the whole time!" She playfully stuck out her tongue and nudged Riima with her paw.

Riima just smiled and nudged back. "And you didn't even make it to your cave," she teased.
Sunil had heard the end of the conversation and walked in throwing the squirrel at Riima and a rabbit at Monroe. "Food," he said simply, he was beyond relieved.

"Two rabbits and a squirrel again, hm?" Monroe smirked at Sunil then gratefully ripped a chunk from the rabbit and began chewing. She hadn't realized how hungry she was. How long had it been since they drank last? Now that she thought of it, she didn't remember. "Say, I haven't been here in a while and Riima hadn't been here her whole life. Is there a freshwater lake or something around here?"

"Up the cliff," Sunil smirked. "Want me to push you up?" He added winking. "Nah, there's a little spring in the back there.." He gestured vaguely with his paw to the back of the cave.

"Just how big is this cave?" Monroe huffed but nonetheless, walked right over to the aforementioned spring. She sniffed at it with suspicion, then leaning down and drinking from it. She was surprized at how good the plain water tasted against her dry mouth.

Riima followed Monroe to the spring and took great gulps of the water. She hadn't realized how thirsty she really was.
"Oh, it goes back quite a ways," answered Sunil. "It's pretty dark though."
