Remetheus
Tribal
Relm
Festival Square

Remetheus cursed silently and quite skillfully as he kept running. He supposed that children his age shouldn't really curse but he wasn't like other children anyway and given the current circumstances he should be allowed to. Glancing behind him as he kept up his pace he groaned as what he hoped to be only one warrior was replaced by two other entirely different ones. And it looked like they weren't stunned or tired at all. In fact, they would just about catch up with him in a few moments and he was already running out of breath. He supposed that he really wasn't the physical activity type.

Holding his breath, he turned around for a brief moment and waved his staff menacingly at the two warriors. Surprised, they both stopped and stared at him, preparing for something to happen. Inwardly cursing at his inability to cast any kind of useful magic with all the colours of the rainbow, Remetheus started running again.

Glancing behind him yet again, Remetheus saw the two warriors overcome their brief moment of confusion and proceeded to chase him. Within seconds, they were already a short distance away from him. Thinking quickly, he jabbed his staff into the ground with both hands and used his centrifugal force to whirl around abruptly and run the opposite direction, directly through the surprised warriors.

Tal
Tribal
Relm
Festival Square

"Be careful, kid!" Tal shouted to the younger boy as he passed him by, still chasing after the two swordsmen. As he approached one of the men, he brought his right fist back, preparing to punch him; however, the swordsman heard him coming and turned fiercely, swinging his blade around in the process. The blow hit Tal in the abdomen, and he fell onto his backside with a loud exclamation of "s**t!" The green-haired young man ignored the blood seeping from his fresh wound, jumped to his feet gracefully, and glared at the man before charging him once again.

((Yeah, I know, this thing has been dead forever. But I'm reviving it. And working on some things. Just a quick time-skip session and whatnot, and it'll all be fixed.))

Tal's attack hit his enemy upon the side of his head, and the older man fell to the ground. Assuming he was either dead or unconscious, the young outlaw turned to the other warrior and lunged out with a wild kick. The blow hit the man in the ribs, and Tal followed up with a piercing stab to the chest, which broke through the man's weak armor.

With both of the swordsmen taken care of, Tal turned his attention back to his two new comrades, and saw that their White Mage foe had already fallen as well.

"Well....That's all of 'em..." he muttered between gasping breaths. Upon seeing a small group of Gabbiani knights next to one of the closer tents, he straightened, eyes wide. "Hey, you two...I'm gettin' the hell outta here. If you wanna come along, feel free. Akara, you still up for that job offer?"

((Yes, I know, crappy post, but hey, I had to move this s**t along somehow.))

Akara
Tribal
Relm
Festival Square

Akara looked up at the sound of Tal's voice just as she was sliding her blade out of the white mage's chest.
"Not like I've got anything better to do," she called back with a smirk, wiping her sword on the white mage's robe.
She slid the sword into it's scabbard and jogged off after Tal, briefly grabbing the new kid by his shoulder to push him along.
"Come on kid," she said, "I think you'd be better off if you followed along."
She let the statement hang without explanation. The kid could take from that what he wanted.

((I'm baaack. Sorry I was gone so long))

Remetheus
Tribal
Relm
Festival Square

Remetheus slowly nodded as he was pushed, still trying to catch his breath. Though he was already tired from all the running he did, he knew that this might be his only chance. Holding his staff with his left hand, he adjusted his hat, which had become lopsided in all the commotion, with his right hand. Though this action was pointless as his hat was almost always lopsided, he also adjusted his clothes and brushed them with a sweeping motion of his hand, as if removing dirt from it. Which was somewhat true as a lot of dust had accumulated in the creases. Remetheus idly wondered why the heck he was even thinking about his appearance and decided that the reason was he wanted to look somewhat acceptable for his new companions.

((Time-skip time! Dun dun duuuunn!))

Tal
Tribal
Outskirts of Rosa

Tal took in a deep breath, then let it go as he wiped sweat from his brow. His green hair was darker than usual, damp with perspiration.

"Well, there we go. It's been a long walk, but we're almost to Rosa. We can stop there and rest a while before we head for Gabbiani. What do you guys think?"

Akara
Tribal
Outskirts of Rosa

Akara let out a tired huff and swept her hair out of her face.
"Rest sounds good to me," she said, slumping down to sit in the dirt. "And a bath. And some dinner."
She flopped onto her back.
"I don't know about the two of you, but I haven't had a good rest in awhile. Even before coming into Relm."

Remetheus
Tribal
Outskirts of Rosa

Remetheus simply nodded his head a few times, his hat flopping up and down with the movement, as his answer even though that action might be a bit pointless since he thought that nobody was actually looking at him (though he wasn't sure since his hat was getting in the way of his eyes again from all the flopping it did earlier) as he was lagging a bit behind them.

He didn't look any different than he usually was, seeing as nobody could actually get a glimpse of his body through all his baggy clothing. The only sign of his fatigue being that he was relying heavily on his staff as a makeshift cane or some sort of support to stop himself from falling over in exhaustion.

Tal
Tribal
Outskirts of Rosa ---> Sleeping Dog Inn

The young outlaw nodded, drew in a deep breath, then exhaled as he once again resumed his march through the fields. His feet seemed to throw themselves toward the ground instead of merely stepping; as if they were throwing a temper tantrum, outraged that they should be asked to do any more work this day. His legs, along with his entire weary body, would be appeased soon enough. They were almost there...

....................................

There comes a bizarre point where the clear, open spaces seem to shrink just a bit, as the empty fields give way to the bustle of a small town filled to the brim with busy people. The change wasn't as drastic as it would be upon entering a larger city such as Gabbiani; but here in the small Mage town of Rosa, there was much more to see than in the village of Relm. Or perhaps there was just so much less space: everything was cramped and crowded together in a way that made one think the architects hoped to make the small rural town larger. The effect was, at times, the opposite.

After only a few steps into the streets of Rosa, Tal spotted an ages-old stone building he recognized from earlier years. The pale moonlight shone down and reflected from a sign hanging above the door. A dog in a basket was the image crafted into the metal. He nodded towards the inn, as if it could see him and would acknowledge his gesture. At the moment, he didn't care if it would make him look ridiculous. Hell, he wouldn't care at any time, no matter his mood.

After just a quick glance behind him to make sure the others were still with him, he hastily twisted the bronze doorknob to the left and pushed open the patched-up wooden door. There were candles and oil lanterns lighting up the tavern, giving it a solemn, peaceful look. Tal drew another breath and nodded to his two companions. "You two can take a seat and rest. I'll get us a room and order some food in the meantime."

(whew....well, finally getting somewhere now. I'm about to do something that y'all may or may not like. Depends. Haha. You'll find out tomorrow, I suppose. ^_^)

Remetheus
Tribal
Rosa
Sleeping Dog Inn

Remetheus nodded in response, grabbed a chair and promptly sat on it, trying to rest his forehead on the table. The small mage was feeling a bit sleepy, not to mention extremely tired from the day's exertions, with all the walking and whatnot. He wondered idly if he was supposed to feel so dazed and light-headed. Must be because he was tired, he reasoned with whatever little consciousness he had left. Strangely enough, he couldn't fall asleep right then and there. Perhaps it had something to do with his posture, or maybe it was because he was so hungry and that his throat was dry with thirst.

Tilting his head a bit to look around at his new surroundings, Remetheus occupied himself with looking at whatever caught his interest. Rosa might have been his hometown but he hardly ever took the time to get to know it. He preferred staying in isolated places all day, reading books or watching people go by, sometimes observing mages train themselves and cast magic. People rarely took notice of him, and if they did, they just saw him as a particularly amusing street child, sometimes giving him some pocket change or food, and soon forgot about him altogether. He didn't mind being ignored so much though, other people were more fun to watch anyway when they didn't know he was there looking at them.

Akara
Tribal
Outskirts of Rosa ---> Sleeping Dog Inn

Akara grabbed a chair beside the young mage and plopped down with a sigh.
Back in Rosa already. God how she hated this town. She thought she should probably mention her last experience to Tal, just in case someone decided to stir up trouble, but she decided against it.
If one of those stuck up, snot nosed mages wanted to start s**t she'd finish it on her own.
She caught a few of the towns people glancing at her out of the corner of her eye and grimaced.
"Well, let's hope the past doesn't bite me in the a** too soon," she muttered under her breath, making sure her sword was in easy reach.
She didn't see any familiar faces in the inn, but that didn't necessarily mean no one recognized her.
She let her forehead thunk against the wooden tabletop.
"God I hate this town."

Remetheus
Tribal
Rosa
Sleeping Dog Inn

Remetheus turned his head to look at his companion. Did that not hurt? The small mage was sure if he had did that, his head would ache. Though had she been here before? Certainly a few minutes in a town wouldn't be enough to develop a hatred for it. He hadn't seen her and doubted that he would remember her anyway. Though perhaps she had arrived in this town when he had been on one of his reading sprees.

Still, there was nothing to do except wait for his other companion to come back so he sat up and tilted his head questioningly at her. He supposed he would have to find a pen somewhere soon, his neck was beginning to ache a bit from all the movement it did the whole day. Still, he was used to it.

Lot
Tribal
Sleeping Dog Inn

Lot looked at Akara form the corner. She looked familiar, but he could not remember her name. This was his home town before he began his travels, so it was possible she might be a childhood freind. He walked over to the table where Akara and Remetheus were sitting. "I know you from somewhere," Lot said, as he accidentally knocked over one of the barmaids, spilling beer all over Remetheus. "Oh crap," said Lot as he tried to wipe the beer off of Remetheus with his sleeve.
