Nico nodded, and agreed. Professor Arashi would be busy, but he might not have time... Maybe he'd ask Professor Marshall to talk to her. He turned his attention to the Slytherin boy who had walked in, but turned away quickly. "Thank you, very much Professor Arashi. Oh, did father send you a letter? He'd been planning to contact you," Nico said coolly, referring to his furious father who had been intent on sending the professor a letter to assign him more schoolwork, as Nicodeamus had finished all of his Transfiguratoin ssays in the first week of break. After a moment, he patted Eloise on the head. "Need to borrow a bag, love?" he asked good-naturedly, looking as if he'd just seen a good movie. He really didn't understand how they had gone from friends to a couple so quickly, but he had been friends with Eloise for a long time. It had probably been inevitable. He did love her, and he hoped his relationship with Eloise would be as strong as his father and mother, minus the suicide.

Seamus lazily raised a hand and waited for the Professor to notice him. He wondered what sort of trouble Fig had gotten into since they'd separated, and what sort of trouble Jana was getting into at Bauxbatons. She wasn't really the type to settle down into any sort of girl's school. He missed her terribly.
He looked again to the girl in front of him, the Slytherin. He didn't know her name, but he thought he'd seen her around. Shrugging inwardly, and hand still raised he called quietly, "Oy! You there. What's your name woman?"

Lowering her arm, as her hand was beginning to tire, Angelica raised her other hand, waving it slightly to try to attract Professor Arashi's attention. She turned her head slightly as another student entered the room; taking in the sight of his robes, she noticed he was another Slytherin. Moving her eyes up to his face, and realizing she didn't know him, Angelica turned her attention back to the owl on her desk. Sighing softly, she crossed her legs and began tapping her wand against her knee absently.
Angelica was pulled back into the here and now by a hissed whisper coming from behind her. Turning her head to look over her shoulder, she saw the Slytherin boy looking intently in her direction. She allowed her eyes to roam over him for a moment before looking down her nose at him and replying with a clipped, "Angelica," before turning away.

Professor Arashi smiled a bit when Nico asked her about his father's letter. "Why yes, I did in fact receive that letter. I was throughly amused to read it. I thought a lot of people complained that I assigned too much homework over the summer. In either case, if that's what you wish for me to do, then I'll do that. Now if you'll excuse me, I see that I have other people wishing for me to look at their transfigurations." With that, she walked over to the next person.
Looking at the girl, she said, "Miss Ellsworth, please demonstrate your transfiguration."

Angelica sighed in exasperation as Professor Arashi asked her to demonstrate the transfiguration. Looking up at the professor's face, then glancing toward her owl, she narrowed her eyes slightly and said, "I've already done it." Knowing this would get her nowhere, however, Angelica tapped the owl with her wand and turned it back into her schoolbag.
Waiting a moment before tapping the bag two times once again, she muttered the spell and gazed lazily up at Professor Arashi after ensuring that her bag had indeed turned into an owl. It hooted feebly and stretched its wings before settling down to sleep.
"There," Angelica said, waiting for the teacher's response.

Professor Arashi noted that Angelica seemed to be in a foul mood. When she stated that she had already done the transfiguration, Professor Arashi simply replied, "That does not concern me. I must see the transfiguration in order to grade your performance."
She watched as Angelica transfigured the owl into a schoolbag and back. Frowning, she said, "You've completed the assignment, but I'm only alloting you two house points instead of five because of attitude and failure to correctly read the directions on the board."
Professor Arashi then walked over to Seamus. "Mr. Riley, are you ready?"

Blinking twice, Angelica glanced up at the board. Professor Arashi had stated that she had failed to correctly read the instructions written there. Running through them again in her head, she frowned a bit. She had transfigured her schoolbag into an owl, then turned it back into her schoolbag in front of Professor Arashi, finally turning it into an owl once more. She didn't quite understand how that was failure to read the instructions. Scowling now, Angelica tapped the owl with her wand and turned it back into her bag.
What Professor Arashi had said was beginning to grate on Angelica's nerves. Turning slightly in her chair, she said, "Sorry, I don't see how I failed to follow the instrustions you specified. I did exactly what you intended." She tried to keep any edge out of her voice, since part of the reason the professor had docked the points was for "attitude". That part of Professor Arashi's statement didn't really concern her, since she knew she had an attitude; however, she was a good student and usually followed the directions given for assignments. Sighing softly, she silently hoped that this wouldn't affect her grade for this assignment. Her father wouldn't be happy if her grades slipped because a teacher made a false accusation.

Vlaityn smiled affectionately at Sezer's exasperated yet highly astute description of Joel. "Indeed. That's why we keep him around, hmm? Gotta have somebody to liven us up a bit; can't have dead beats like us flounderin' 'round all the time." She was starting to chuckle, but Vlaityn's face bore a slight show of some shame as she realized she was slurring her words together and talking like she was back over the pond. She sounded American.
Instinctively Vlaityn's hand shot up to her jaw, hoping to distract herself from her own disappointment. "Lovely weather, isn't it?" She murmured in distraction. The need to get outside into the sunny, brisk day was overwhelming. Rooms always seemed to get tighter when Vlaityn became a little self conscious.
Turning her mind back to the class, Vlaityn cringed on the inside. Transfiguration was an exceptionally nice class, but she still wasn't the greatest at it. Nothing like mutilating an object to start out the year.

Sezer noticed Vliatyn's smile and couldn't help one of his own from spreading across. She was always rather influential - or at least her smiles were. He laughed just a little - or at least his storm eyes did, for him, for he'd never in one million milena laugh in such a place as public as the corridor - and responded, clearing his throat a bit. "I suppose you make a good point, Vlaityn. Livens things up, he does. Though he needs to show respect for personal space..." He trailed off, as if truly considering his best mate's respect (or, rather, lack there of) for people's, mainly his, personal space. "A moment," he began thoughtfully, "It's just me, isn't it?" Should his life have been a cartoon, he would have fallen over. Instead, he merely ran a hand through his hair.
He blinked inquisitively, however, when her hand shot up to her jaw, as if securing it in place. Rather stupidly babbling, he began, "What's wrong? Did you get hit in the jaw with a spell? Blasted prats. Here, I'll take you to the Hospital Wing," he cut off in his blabbing long enough for him to offer his arm to her, as if he were escorting her to a dance, or something, when he heard her begin to speak about the weather. Now he was really confused. He dropped his arm slowly, quite obviously an action that took a great deal more of thought that usually necessary to accomplish, and agreed shakily with her.
"Yes, the rains haven't come yet. A few more days of nice weather outside. Not that it especially matters to scholars like us, eh?" he smirked at his own joke. However, he quickly regained his composure and inclined his head toward the classroom. "Would you like to go in, now? We can be partners. But then, of course, you'd be stuck with me for the rest of term. You don't mind, do you?" He asked her innocently. In the back of his mind, he noted absently that most boys his age would probably be grinning. Odd, he thought. Sezer, seemingly oblivious to any such implications his words may've had, awaited her answer with as pure intentions as possible for a seventeen-year-old boy with blondish-brown stubble on his chin.

Seamus smiled up at the professor brightly, "Born ready ma'am." He turned his wand to the horned owl and murmuring, turned it back into his school bag. Pausing a moment, he turned it back into the beautiful owl, which blinked at him curiously. Saluting at it, he waved his wand and murmuring once more, turned it back into his knapsack. "Forgive me the extra transformation, I didn't turn it back into my sack from practice." He smiled again, his teeth perfect. He was raised to be charming to every adult, to a fault. Other kids however, he seemed to have problems with.

"Just you?" Vlaityn rubbed her jaw again, thinking hard on the question. "Well, if it's not just you, it's at least especially you." She conceded with a small smirk. "He does seem to have a certain, ah, draw to you? Like Joel can help himself."
Vlaityn had to smile at Sezer calling her a scholar. "Yes. I do believe I'll be spending every second of my free time down by the lake. Twiddling my thumbs, waiting for snow." She was so busy silently chiding herself for being so easily distracted by nature, Vlaityn nearly missed Sezer's offer. "Oh, that'd be, ah, great." A nervous smile flitted across her face. "Fantastic." Slowly, Vlaityn headed towards the classroom door.

(( I love how you guys are complaining about poor Joel behind his back. Poor guy. He'll just have to kiss Vlaityn to get revenge. The licking of Sezer was enough for a month don't you think? XD))

Eloise smiled again at Nico before letting go of him. It felt strange not having her arms in the same position as before, but she couldn't be next to him the entire time, even if she wanted to. With a shrug, she reached over and took Nico's bag, using her other hand to remove her wand from her cloak. EL was going to wait until the teacher asked her to demonstrate, though, she wanted to practice a little bit before. With a swipe of her wand, Eloise muttered the spell under her breath and frowned as nothing happened. I'm never good at spells. Though, Nico's watching, so I have to be able to do it. I don't want to seem helpless. Maybe I am- No. Just no. Say the spell again and a little louder.
Eloise waved her wand again and said the spell again, yet for some reason the bag turned into a cat, a rather unhappy surly looking cat. Eloise quickly returned the cat back into a bag and blushed, putting her hands in her lap, clutching onto her wand. The thought of failure rang in the back of her head, she just hoped that Nico didn't start sneezing because of the cat.

Nico's hand suddenly enveloped around Eloise's. "Don't be nervous love. Here, let me show you," he said gently, "It's more a swish and jab instead of a swipe." He winked at her and took his hands away. "Try it. You'll get it this time," he assured her. Nico knew how she felt. It was after about three years that he finally realized that he could memorize all of the spells in the world, but without the proper hand motions, he couldn't do a single thing. Eloise was probably having the same problem.

Eloise gave Nico a meager, nervous smile. She was better, much better in the kitchen than in magic. Giving Nico's hand a squeeze before letting go, she lifted her hand up and concentrated on what she was doing. Dammit Eloise. If you don't get this right I'm going to slap you. Wait. I hope no one can read minds. They would think I was insane. Smiling at her own thoughts, Eloise said the spell and motioned her wand in the 'swish and jab' Nico had told her. Before she knew it there was an owl in front of her, almost making her let out a small scream. "Why did it have to an owl? Why couldn't the assignment be, 'make your bag innto a mouse, or even a rat'. Ick." Even with that small complain, Eloise was glad that she succeeded, glad that Nico had given her a tip. As gracefully as she could, Eloise stood up slightly so she could give Nico a kiss. The smile on her face making it a little hard to do as such.
